That would be awsome if Nate was a companion in DA2.

It could work, he is with you for a while, and then he hears about how his dad got killed by the warden and leaves.

Once again he escapes the wiles of the female players.

Nate with Teagan's voice? I wonder if the universe could handle that. It would be cool if you could find a NPC also voiced by Simon Chadwick and put Nate's head on it. I know he did additional voices in Origins. So far, I suspect he voiced one of the NPCs in Ostagar, but that's too brief.

I'll definitely ask "Which way to Edmonton?" when I get to Canada... someday, I hope.

Not sure if this has been posted in here yet, but I think it's my favorite Nate art ever.  MaevesChild's "Let me love you":

*Lady_Scarlett has a feeling she has seen this somewhere before. She remembers Fire and Brigan from Kristin Cashore's Fire, and remembers more now that she's re-reading the stupid book (for her seventh time) as she's playing Awakening again that if Nathaniel just did turn out to be someone else's son (more speakably, Loghain's son), she could say that Brigan and Nate are *TWIN!* brothers that were just thrown in two different worlds.*

Wha?! 'Tis true I tell you. Brigan has the same coloring as Nate and all, and he's described not as not handsome, and turns out not to be who's you think he is (the former king in this case) but the son of a former general. He's also level-headed and practical. Sound familiar?

I have faith in Bioware - fellow members of the Commonwealth won't let me down...will they?

(On a side note - trying to reply using a smartphone is scary - that's the second time I've almost reported someone's post by accident.  All these little links everywhere!)

Yes, pretty please Bioware!!! Give him actual role, one in which we can learn more about him!  Oh and 9985, I love your new avatar/icon image.  She's pretty! <3

I forgot something. Brigan has a daughter (crap!) Oh well. Close enough.

Now you watch, we're going to learn in DA2 Nate has a secret kid too, just to screw with me and and possible others that read the stupid book.

I was thinking of Teagan because he has a nice VA and you don't have to kill him.  I did have an evil thought but no, I couldn't do that. You guys would have me hunted down and ritually dismembered if I put Nate's head on his daddy. :o

Sooo..... I had never come across this grisly little scene in the Silverite Mine before.  Note that those are childrens' skeletons by the chess board.  Safe to say the Architect is gonna die in this game.

Topical Nate is still sexy, even in mismatched looted armor.

And how nice that the first thing you see when you wake up in the mine is this.... (rotated for better view)

I love how Nate just sits there in the cell and chills.

A question regarding the Silverite Mines...when the Warden and his/her companions encounter the first ghoul that's stolen their equipment ,does Nathaniel have a response? I've heard Sigrun's and Oghren's and I was just wondering if Nate had one.

Heh, yeah.  It's basically the same stance as when you find him in prison at the Keep.  And I haven't ever heard his response in the Mine.  Oghren's is hilarious.

I don't think he has one, but I have a cheated to PS3's best extent good mage that I can use with just herself and one other party member, so I can run just Nathaniel through maybe sometime today.

Okay, so on my second Warden in DAOA, I took Nate with me down into the Keep basement (I didn't the first time through) and I saw Adria (or whatever her name was). After the slight build up with him being determined (and pleading to the Warden) to find her... talk about a missed opportunity. =/

I wished there was some sort of dialogue afterward where you could talk with Nate about what happened, or even a couple throw-away lines. Ah well.

I hated BioWare for DA:O-A... that stupid game was just a tease for us... couldn't even get proper companion dialogues!

But I had to love them for it too... WHY!?!?!?!?!?

I made a video of Velanna's Dalish clan encounter, so you can see it without going back on your plans to nuke from orbit.  :)  The dippy thing is that they don't recognize your PC as being an elf.  Velanna says she's travelling with "humans", when actually it's only Nate.  Ah well.  I wonder if there would be a different dialogue if you import a Dalish PC from Origins.  I did import my Dalish mage, but I was ticked about Alistair not being mentioned as Warden so I erased her game.

While I was at it, I also recorded a couple Nate videos:

Nate talking about his GW grandfather.  God what a sexy voice.  Anyway, this really does contradict the codex, since we have both Tarleton and Padric Howe being described as Nate's grandpa.  Unless Rendon married a cousin and his wife was also a Howe???

Nate in the Blackmarsh.  Little boy dreams. :wub::wub:

I think that they'd recognize you as an elf it if was just you. I wanted to see what they'd say for a non-human party so I redid the encounter with my DN, Sigrun, and Oghren and it was kind of amusing. They were all confused that she was travelling with dwarves and she got all sheepish and said that the Keeper told her that she should expand her horizons. I think the fact you're an elf is just not very interesting in the wake of Velanna-the-ridiculously-anti-human travelling with any human at all.

Holy crap, he really does flirt with Velanna.  I'm not sure what that says for the boy's taste...   Except that it shows he likes elves.  And he can be a smooth-talker when he wants to be.

Some action shots.

See! See!

My favorite just HAS to flirt with the one I want to kill!

Imagination of dialogue with Warden VS. Velanna:

----------

(Dalish Warden)

Warden: You know, I don't share.
Velanna: I don't share either.
Warden: (Singsong voice) He's mine.
Velanna: Hmm? Who are we talking about so possesively, like the child you so are?
Warden: You know exactly who I'm talking about, tree-hugger.
Velanna: Oooh, tree-hugger. Aren't you talking about yourself as well?
Warden: Sorry, clown-ears. Forgot to use a more accurate description.

OR

(Any other Warden)

Warden: You know, I don't share.
Velanna: I don't share either.
Warden: (Singsong voice) He's mine.
Velanna: Hmm? Who are we talking about so possesively, like the child you so are?
Warden: You know exactly who I'm talking about, tree-hugger.
Velanna: Oooh, tree-hugger. I'm so very scared.
Warden: You should be.

-------------

(Mage Warden)

Velanna: I bet my fireballs are bigger then yours.
Warden: Yes, you'd want balls to begin with.
Velanna: You seem to be missing my point, city-scum. I have more power. I could just snap my fingers and make you run for the hills. And I wouldn't have to share.
Warden: City-scum? Really? And who's being the possesive child now?

OR

(Any other Warden)

Velanna: I bet my fireballs are better then any skill with your weapons you possess.
Warden: Yes, you'd want balls to begin with.
Velanna: You
seem to be missing my point, city-scum*. I have more power. I could just

Genius LadyS, genius.

All this talk of flirting 'almost' makes me think I'll leave Velanna alive next run so I can hear it.

I had always sentimentally put Nate with Sigrun, too. And for some odd reason, I just love the way he says her name. In fact, I love how he emphasizes anyone's name when he talks to them.
