Finished Tecla's game. It seemed to go really fast with an Orlesian, maybe because you just feel like you got up to speed and then it's done.

...no, it really doesn't. I can probably make up 6-8" of heigh difference just by looking up, and 12-18" with a very slight chin tilt.
Kissing, now that cranes your neck to the point where you start looking for stairs to stand on. But everyday conversations are fine.
(I'm short enough that I'm always surprised when I realize I'm not looking up at someone and shocked if they're actually shorter than me and not a child. And I dated a guy a foot taller than me for three years.)
I had Nate, Oghren and Velanna. All of them wanted to deal with the Architect.Avilia wrote...

Just to be nosey - who was your fourth on that run?

That seems pretty naive of her, imo. Her sister is clearly a ghoul and the taint seems pretty far along. What does she honestly think is going to happen?
Right, I don't blame her, and she has more justification than Oghren or Nate for wanting to deal with the Architect. I really don't buy all the "but it could end the Blights" talk. Maybe I have a too black and white view of the darkspawn.Mel_Redux wrote...

It's her sister, and she loves her. It's probably not easy for her to accept that her sister is a ghoul and to give up on her.
The Qunari merchant isn't tainted. The Architect hints he can not taint those around him. Seranni IS tainted and is clearly a ghoul.Dean_the_Young wrote...
There are implications in the dungeon that the Architect has some way around it, like the Qunari merchant. What would keep him from, say, 'Awakening' her much as he does born and bred Darkspawn, with bits of Utha's Grey Warden blood?
He could be lying, but I wouldn't call it unreasonable either.
The Qunari merchant isn't tainted... at the moment. But that doesn't mean, over time, he wouldn't catch it as well. I don't recall if the Qunari was promised reprieve from being tainted at all or just from dying to it, but in light of either I don't feel that either is beyond reasonable belief.Sarah1281 wrote...

Heh, the epilogue slide said Velanna was upset because she thought if they had made a deal with the Architect, her sister could have been saved. So it was something like "Tecla and Velanna had a difficult relationship as a result." LOL, what changed about that?

What's with the short hair? Did you just prefer it?
(And damn but I wish that Blackblade armour set was complete...it's annoying they missed the gloves and boots).
The Messenger does spread the taint. The Architect is the one who says he knows how to not do it so either the Messenger is not capable of using the Architect's method or he doesn't know it. Or he could just not care, I guess, but that goes against his Robin Hood image.Just the Architect? Doesn't the messenger spead the taint if he's allowed to live at Amaranthine?
Sorry if that's a dim question - does he have some sort of cure or can he just not taint people - I didn't think it was something darkspawn did consciously, more like a disease that just spreads?
Or am I completely off track and should go away to read some more?
A possible explanation is that just as the Grey Warden blood breaks the taint's hold on the Dark Spawn minds/connection to the Old Gods, perhaps it could do similar to a ghoul's (in breaking the hold and effects of the taint on the person).Sarah1281 wrote...
Why would it be able to affect ghouls? They aren't darkspawn. It seems more likely that Seranni could be helped by becoming a Grey Warden.

I might be able to participate, though I'm not so good with that kind of on-demand stuff. And maybe once a week is too much? Again, that might just be me, I'm very ponderous. It would be fun to see others' work.
