On another note, I had the idea of doing my prompt responses via Fanfiction.net on ONE story set (however, they won't need to line up and I will be switching up my characters). Pretty much, make it like a never-ending story that is just for my written response to prompts.

Also, ideas for prompts:

- OC / Crossover Hell (Meet the new Commander who is completely made up and from wherever you wish (including outside the DA:O world) and introduce them to Nathaniel and the rest of the gang. More meme status, but I can think of a way to do it in a story format)

- Commander's Soapbox (Done in first P.O.V. and your character is ranting about anything you can think of that has to do with Nate. With me, I know I will be using a elven character and having her rant about the fact that Nathaniel thinks (or she thinks he thinks) "clown-ears" is prettier then her and wondering why he is so blind to her ).

- Childhood friends (Whatever P.O.V. you like. Fits for a Cousland or complete OC easily and maybe had it where the two knew each other when they were children and / or teens)

- Hate (Maybe have one where Nate and the Commander end up never getting along, and Nate possibly kills the Commander)


Also overloading with more, but I'm not going to practically take and entire page with one post.

Oh, nice. I have some ideas, too:

1) Nathaniel finds out about his 'exile'
2) Nathaniel and Delilah or Thomas (not including reunion scene in game)
3) Nathaniel first learns of his father's death
4) 'The Howes are pariahs'
5) Nathaniel saving Fergus
6) Nathaniel returns to Ferelden but doesn't break into Keep

Addai - my shot of the profile? I noticed that for some reason my colours are bit more saturated for this run. So I react to that by deciding everyone could wear black. Nate is last holdout till we get the Blackblade armour. Oh the things I do to amuse myself ;-)

I have the mod from Nexus and just add them using a console command after I get the chest.

Mismatched armour makes me go 'ew'.

There is another mod that adds the boots and gloves as loot from the two dragon thralls at the end of the Silverite Mines. Actually it adds them to the High Dragon (that's how it was meant to be in the game), but the optional file makes them available at the end of the Silverite Mines.

I can't help but having the idea that a Cousland would have to know him from their youth, although it's most probably a looong time ago... (picturing a young Cousland playing hide and seek with Delilah and Thomas, whilst teenagers Fergus and Nathaniel keep on teasing them XD)... I hope we really get to know Nate better during DA2 (or special DLC for DA:O... I'd pay for that!)

Why do people not playing HN's, are unwilling to do the mistress ending, and intend to put Alistiar on the throne do his romance since (under those conditions) it can't end happily?

Not quite the same thing, because there actually are many options for you to end up with Alistair by your side.  But we know Nate ends up in Ferelden drinking a darkspawn cocktail.

I don't always play for the "happy ending".  Sometimes I like the unhappy ending...its filled with more drama and emotion.  The scenario you described above has a bittersweet, "live in the moment" feel to it.  I like it!

Nothing wrong with a roll in the hay imho

I'm a big US'er - so few of my romances in DA end very well.  Poor Zev always doomed to a life of celibacy and Crow leading...

We don't know that Zevran remains celibate (and I rather doubt it). The epilogue says that though he had many offers of bed partners, he never loved again. Unlike, say, Alistiar or post-betrayal Leliana, Zevran is perfectly capable of sleeping with people without love getting involved and, what's more, gets uncomfortable once he realizes that it's not just a meaningless fling.

Its very ambigious innit.  I suppose it depends how you intepret the word 'love' in that sentence....  Okay I'll go with that - Zev mourns my gals for the rest of his life while leading the Crows and enjoying many loose women/men.
