Soo, I'm going to try to fill this week's prompt, but this is where I'm bad at on-demand stuff.  My muse is a capricious b*tch, and right now she's sitting on her fat ass eating bonbons and screeching for more Loghain smut.

Maybe the wires got crossed on the whole dark and broody thing...

Huh, speaking of which. How do you think Loghain meeting Nathaniel in Awakening would go?

Well, at first Nathaniel views Loghain as just being on the wrong side of a war. He'd probably look for reassurements about his father that Loghain wouldn't be inclined to give. Once Nathaniel started learning some of the things his father was doing, he might start pushing the blame onto Loghain who was regent and either was involved also or should have stopped it. Eventually, he might come to a reluctant acceptance that his father was a horrible person at the end, Loghain made a lot of mistakes, but being a GW is his redeption as well.

I agree with Sarah that I expect that Nathaniel would probably at first blame Loghain for the downfall of his father. As his superior, he was - politically - responsible for Rendon's deeds after all. He has allowed it, so why not stimulated it, or even suggested?

But in the end he will come to same conclusion: that Rendon is to blame for his own actions. Nonetheless, I think that Nathaniel will never fully accept Loghain. Loghain was probably an idol for him at childhood, and then that childhood image of the great Hero of River Dane gets quite shattered as he turns out to be a betrayer, indirectly commits regicide, etc...
