LOL so true. I am not jelous of you guys, I am happy I don't live in a America.

Technically, if you live in Canada, you live in America.

Diffrent goverment and laws. Just because Canada is in NA does not mean we are Americans. Americans are called Americans because they live in the United states of America.

It is entirely questionable if the Allied forces would have won World War II had America not become personally involved.

You cannot say Germany's most experienced troops fought Russia while America and everyone else got Delta Companies.

You have no evidence whatsoever to propobate such a claim. What kind of army throws all its best forces toward one front on a two-front war?

Nobody said HItler was smart.  But the Germans lost millions of troops against Russia, which forced them to take the more experienced troops away from the western and southern fronts.  Leaving the Italians by themselves and leaving old men and young boys to defend France.

Umm, the Japanese already couldn't have recovered from having virtually no remaining Navy and very limited airpower.
The best they could hope to do and their goal was to simply make it the
invasion of Japan as costly and bloody as possible.

Subtract all of that American lend-lease, the combined effect of the USAAF and RAF bombing campaigns, put many of those Italian and Afrika Korp troops in the east, as well as a great deal of that manpower and material commited to fighting the Allied air campaign, and the contest between the Soviets and Germans would have been much closer.

And if the Soviets still win then, all of you in continental Europe would get to enjoy the quality of living enjoyed by the common man in the USSR and Warsaw Pact. Good luck getting a copy of Mass Effect 2.

You live in the American continent, you are an American.  I don't care who calls what.  You live in Europe, you're European.

And yet the whole time Russia was asking the Allies to invade France for years.  But they waited until all that was left on the Western Front was young boys and old men.  Then finally they decided to invade.  Twenty-three million Russians died in that war.

Actually the Americans wanted to invade France before the British did. It was largely Churchill who delayed the invasion until 1944. And he was pretty wise to do so, given what could have happened to what would be a largely unprepared American, British, and Canadian force a year earlier. And there were "real" divisions of German troops stationed around Normandy, just not at the beeches themselves.

You mean World War II, where we came in and saved Britain and France's asses from the Germans and Italians?  While Canada sat by and did largely nothing.

The democratic nations of Europe owe the United States a huge favor.

You could really use a history lesson before you open your mouth again and make an ass of yourself, again.  Canada fought in WWII from the beginning.  And the US did jack **** compared to Russia.

I'm sorry, did Canada turn there whole economy to war and mass produce tanks, bombers, fighters, destroyers, etc., on the level that the US did??  No.  Canada's industrial power was nowhere close to the US's.

Russia was actually an ally of Germany, helping them invade eastern Europe, until Hitler got the bright idea of backstabbing them.  Even then, they didn't really assist Britain, they just fought Germany's army (which made a lot of headway into Russia before they fell victim to the deadly Russian winter).  Meanwhile, even before getting directly involved in the war the US was sending supplies to Britain, and afterwards helped alleviate the economic suffocation of Britain by U-boat raids.

If the US had not gotten involved in World War II, the map of Europe would look very different from today.

True.  But the USSR was ready and willing to take the fight to Japan.  But the US was afraid of the USSR occupying japan and China in the process so they Nuked Japan to force the to surrender and prevent a Russian invasion.

And i realize this is probably a fairly controversial view but its one I think is possible.

Good luck with that, I don't think America would want to cause a war over something like that.

I realize that but if it hadn't been for the Russians you can imagine how different the beaches of Normandy would look on that day if there had been SS troops and Veteran German soldiers manning the defences.

Ya, I'm sure everyone it the world is jealous of your horrible economy, massive debt and oil covered beaches.

I'll give you that one.  Fixing the leak may be impossible, but they probably shouldn't have legalized drilling at depths where it is impossible to fix a leak in a timely manner.

Actually we did, and we were doing it from the start..  You obviously haven't taken my advice about taking a history class before opening your mouth.
