America was founded not too long ago compared with other areas in the

True. But the USSR was ready and willing to take the fight to Japan. But the US was afraid of the USSR occupying japan and China in the process so they Nuked Japan to force the to surrender and prevent a Russian invasion.
And i realize this is probably a fairly controversial view but its one I think is possible.
The US nuked Japan...to keep Russia from occupying it...
Yeah, I've never heard it put that way. The usual justification given for nuking Hiroshima and Nagasaki is that a ground invasion of Japan would have been long and bloody, costing the lives of thousands upon thousands of American soldiers, so they wanted to bring the war to a quick end.
Edit: Okay, I'm being a bit too critical of Canada's involvement. Being a former colony of Britain, I'm sure they contributed to the war effort as much as possible. My point is that due to the United States' far superior industry, Canada's contribution to the war was significantly less.

You could really use a history lesson before you open your mouth again and make an ass of yourself, again. Canada fought in WWII from the beginning. And the US did jack **** compared to Russia.
I'm sorry, did Canada turn there whole economy to war and mass produce tanks, bombers, fighters, destroyers, etc., on the level that the US did?? No. Canada's industrial power was nowhere close to the US's.
Russia was actually an ally of Germany, helping them invade eastern Europe, until Hitler got the bright idea of backstabbing them. Even then, they didn't really assist Britain, they just fought Germany's army (which made a lot of headway into Russia before they fell victim to the deadly Russian winter). Meanwhile, even before getting directly involved in the war the US was sending supplies to Britain, and afterwards helped alleviate the economic suffocation of Britain by U-boat raids.
If the US had not gotten involved in World War II, the map of Europe would look very different from today.
.
Actually we did, and we were doing it from the start.. You obviously haven't taken my advice about taking a history class before opening your mouth.
So the Americans are the well established world power with a massive industrial infrastructure and are considered a big kid on the block. Whereas Canada is a country just beginning to get real Sovereignty and freedom. Despite the fact that they are at a large disadvantage to the powers of Russia, Germany, the U.S.A and Britain their determination carries them through the war and they make large contributions despite their handicaps, managing to create novel tactics. Seems like humanity in ME is Canada.

It is clearly America because the SA was able to build up an impressive Navy and get state of the art military hardware in a rather short amount of time. Canada wouldn't have been able to do that, and nor could any European countries in their current political/social climate.

I guess you could say that we're NORTH Americans, in the same way that those of the U.S are. But realistically, as far as colloquial speech goes it makes more sense to call those of the U.S Americans, and those of Canada Canadians. You're being pedantic otherwise.

But as you said, Japan already had a broken air force and a decimated navy. They could have achieved the same results with a navel bombardment and bombing runs. Japan was crushed at this point and they knew it, it would have taken much for them to surrender.SSV Enterprise wrote...

They tried. The Canadians fought them off in 1775, and again in 1812 (I know, US history classes still claim that the Americans won that war. Or "small theatre during the Napoleonic war", depending on your point of view).
Track record of CAN vs. USA 2:0, Maple Leaf leading.
