Hello!
I purchased "hard copies" of DA:O and the Collector's Edition of Mass Effect 2 for the XBox 360 and was able to register the games just fine.
Instead of purchasing a hard copy of DA:O Awakening from a store, I paid for it via XBox Live and downloaded it directly to my 360. Is it possible for me to register my downloaded version of Awakening? Is there a code for it somewhere on XBox Live that I just have not seen? I tried searching Google, Bing, and this site to see if someone else posted a similar topic to no avail. Many thanks in advance for your response.

For all other direct downloads you're supposed to get an e-mail with the code. Not so for Xbox Live?

Aww, man. I never received an email. Perhaps I will contact them to see if they do that, and if so, can they resend it. Many thanks for your reply!

Just for the record, I spent TWO HOURS on the phone with both Microsoft, and on an online chat with EA. They both kept passing me back and forth, saying providing me with a proof of purchase code was the other person's job. The kicker was the guy at EA tried to make me feel stupid by saying if I looked I would see that the game was already registered. I had to inform him that he did not know his own catalogue, as DA:O and DA:O - Awakening are two separate games. I know I already HAVE DA:O registered. Ack. This is why I HATE dealing with any sort of customer service; I avoid it like the plague because the outcome is usually this. Two hours of my life, wasted, and the problem is still not resolved.

It is not possible to register downloaded console versions of Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening on this website at this time.

Thanks so much for your reply, Jeff! Is that clearly posted somewhere and I just missed it? If not, then I think it would be a good idea to put it on the product registration page so no one else has to go through what I did. I try my hardest to be polite and respectful to people; I just wish the reps could have gotten to the bottom of it instead of making me feel like I possessed a lack of knowledge, passing me around in a circle and saying "not my problem." I buy EVERYTHING that Bioware puts out (incl. ALL the DLC) so it would be nice if the folks at EA could learn your catalogue and understand the strong customer base you have. Thanks again, and have a great day.
