As posted elsewhere, Awakenings date code pretty much revealed DA2, but will be good to see it in action, so to speak, at E3.

I hope its not just wishful thinking on the part of Gamespot.

I'll be waiting for the official announcement. I probably won't buy it at launch, but will surly add it to my collection at some point.

However, if they reveal that Morrigan is in it I'll probably preorder special edition...

Interesting. I finally have a reason to look forward to E3. There is always a chance the February release is another expansion and Dragon Age 2 will come later. Showing it off now would spark attention and discussion to get the marketing machine rolling.

If DA2 would be the February release I'd be worried. Hopefully there will be some revealing about what direction they are going to take the sequel though.

Mass Effect 3 has been confirmed; they haven't said - in any official way yet - that there will be a DA2. But E3 would be the right time to talk about a major 2-2011 release (you need 6 mos. of hype or more), whether it's very big expansion, or sequel.

Hopefully Bioware will show that with ME3 and DA2, they are the undisputed kings of RPG, hopefully over-shadowing Deus Ex:HR and Fallout New Vegas which are turning heads.

I doubt very much will be revealed, maybe a small trailer for each.

I really do hope that Dragon Age gets a better expansion than Awakening and after that DA2 shall be released.

It's interesting to hear that a sequel may be revealed at E3, but there's more that Bioware can do with DA1, like another expansion or more dlc, but hopefully they'd let me play as my warden(s).

It also seems kinda soon to have the sequel revealed when DA1 hasn't been out even a year. I hope that the next game isn't rushed and is as buggy as DA1 has been. I'd rather wait as long as it takes to play a game with fewer bugs and other issues.

You have to remember Dragon age was finished a good while before it was released.

I hope both games come out next year, as long as it does't conflict with the releases of WoW: Cataclysm and Diablo 3, for the rest, bring it on!

PS: i do hope Mass effect 3 is WAY bigger then 2, i played it just after i finished DA:Origins and it was WAY to short if u ask me, part 3 should be at least DA size!!

Unfortunately, due to the most recent check I did of Gamespot, Dragon Age 2 was NOT on the list, but I'll keep hope; I'll keep hope alive, though.

That rules out DA2, but doesn't rule out that 2-2011 could be a larger (and hopefully better) expansion for DA:O, and/or that they'll demo a trailer for it at E3.

We can keep hoping. A ToB-size/quality expansion would be really really nice and could wrap up the story of Warden 1.0 & Morrigan/god-child in a really nice way.

ME3 will be made, for sure, it's a trilogy, it's coming, they just may not say anything till next year.

If they reveal an expansion it most likely will not be larger than Awakening.
That date was given in the Awakening box and here is the first Q&A given for Awakening.

IGN: How large is the expansion in terms of memory? Are you offering
it as a download item for people that bought digital copies, or is it
solely available as a retail disc version?

Fernando Melo: There will be both retail and download versions of
it. It is by far the biggest expansion that we'll be releasing. I
can't talk about the number of hours at this point, but in general, you
can definitely expect a lot of gameplay. I don't think we know how to
make games differently. Even without the replayability, I think it's
safe to say that it's larger than pretty much any downloadable content
out there. I think we need to treat it a lot more like a traditional
retail expansion, which is really what it is -- it'll just have a
downloadable version as well. But it'll be fairly massive. It'll be
bigger than most retail games.

I think they just might show a trailer for ME3 and DA2, because its just about (and do take note that I did say just about) the sametime line for ME2. They showed the trailer for ME3 at E3, around May or June of 2009, ME2 was later released in Jan of 2010.

We are in June and there are rumors that Bioware might release it Jan 0f 2011.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I sure as hell will be happy if they do show a trailer.

I know I got all excited at first about this....big letdown, but lets hope there is something wondrous up ahead and therefore the wait will be worth it all. :)  <-- Optimistic
