I think someone might have already said this but Bioware does something other than The Old Republic at E3.

http://exophase.com/...-2010-13654.htm

Considering the EA rep's statements it will probably turn out to be  either new IPs or something to do with Jade Empire.

The actual quote.

Super Moderating Hero: Lovely. That's nearly all of
the questions! I should ask what else we can expect from BioWare in
2010? Reveals at E3?

Ray Muzyka: Yes!

Well so far EA has shown the old repubklic with a live demo tomorrow (or later today i guess) along with a odd mass effect story recap video so Bioware seems to be pace'n themselves on reveals, got a few more days to see what happens

Again i'm hope'n the mass effect story recap is a lead in for the PS3 port (sony's day today as well) and still a few days for some dragon age info to pop up

Keep in mind, though, that one of the DA developers did say that the date would be a great day for Dragon Age fans. (and stated that was all he could say) So it is fairly certain the reveal is DA related ... that said, I am not sure it won't be the release date of the dvd movie. And while that would be a little disappointing - in that I'd naturally rather have game content - I wouldn't be crushed; the movie may turn out to be fantastic.

Maybe fantastic for those that are anime fans.  :)  hehe   Just keeping my fingers crossed that the "new graphics" that one of the CEOs was talking about ..isn't that. :P

Been thinking alot about Tor,  I may just migrate there eventually (after release of course)  if things get too.."silent" around here. :)

Hmmm well they don't have a booth there ( Bioware)   do they usually allow people to set up late during the E3?   Think last time I watched E3 was in 2004.   I'll check that link out though, thats more information than what was presented at EA's conference.

** EDIT:   That posting was dated in January this year.    The url link where "Ea representative quashes rumour of DA2 and ME3 at E3,  was a couple days prior to E3 opening.

I wonder if what Ray stated is still true, or things have changed?

They reported that the release was for multiple gaming platforms. Unless they are really playing with the verbage of the statement and really meant the video players in said gaming platforms, it's going to be a game.

The card just has a date on it. Source. I've not seen one in person, but I believe the reverse side is a comic advertisement.

Swoo wrote...
And it's strongly hinted that it's Dragon's Age 2 by using the Origins dragon and altering it so it has two wings instead of one.

Looking at the above source, I disagree. The pose is completely different, and going by the image at the top, the Origins dragon also has two wings. It's a different image completely.

BioWare aren't a
publisher so they won't have a booth. It's really only publishers who
have booths set up - EA, Activision, Valve, Bethesda and so forth.

Gamespot still has DA II listed for all three platforms for the February 2011 date. So....maybe Ray has plans to get interviewed and tell us more that way, being that Bioware is "not a publisher". Keeping fingers crossed.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear of an expansion, but I don't know how that would possibly work. By the end of Awakening, your character is already such a high level that you can't even keep all your abilities on the action bar, and you're insanely powerful. Maybe they could do something like HotU and make something that starts at midlevel but doesn't involve your previous character.

I don't know why people would be worried about such a thing. All the devs have to do is make the enemies dwarf the PC in comparison. Who knows, we may not even be fighting Darkspawn anymore *crosses fingers* after all, is there anything more they can do with those enemies? I'd like a Morrigan-based expansion, and if thats the case, you *must* be importing your same character(s) or it wouldn't make any sense. Lets not forget we couldn't possibly have heard the last of her, therefore it is illogical to force us to start from scratch until all loose ends in the original game have been tied up.

On that note, we'd better have the option of joining with Morrigan and her child, I will *never* buy an expansion or sequel in which the only option is to kill her. However, I believe what I just said is quite inconsequencial. After all this is a Bioware RPG we're talking about. When's the last time there wasn't at least two choices to make each with a different outcome? Wait, since that's my conclusion, why did I bother to mention the possibility of only one option? Posted Image I confuse even myself sometimes. Posted Image

I dont think DA2 will work with morrigan some ppl did not take up her rit to have a demon baby and killed themselfs via the archdemon
so it would not make much sence if morrigan had Alistairs demon baby if u never choose to do the rit in DAO

 maybe bioware will think of another storyline

Welll some people got their Shepard killed at the end of ME2, still Bioware is making ME3. If your Shepard died, it only means YOUR Shepards story ends there.

If you didn't have super god baby with Morrigan, it only means that YOUR characters story will end with Awakening.

In games with multiple endings and choices you seriously can't expect sequels(which are bound to happen if a game is popular) to follow your characters story in every aspect.

E3's sucked so far. Unless Gabe announces episode 3, or Reggie does something awesome or BW pulls out something epic it'll be ruined for me. I was hoping to see timespliters 4, or battlefront 3, or republic commando 2, I got Eye Pet, Breathing: The Game, and Awkward White guy dancing. Which, was the best part of Microsoft's press conference, I was on the floor laughing.

My apologies if I've misunderstood, but are you referring to the ritual at the end of the game?
This is why I think DA2 won't continue with the Warden - There's just too many big decisions like that. But if that comes up again, it'll likely be BioWare telling us what happened. It's hard to say in a no spoilers forum.

BioWare drops potential February 1, 2011 date for Dragon Age 2 (March 2011)
http://www.vg247.com...r-dragon-age-2/

"Last month, EA announced a
new Dragon Age was in development for Q4 of fiscal 2011 – between
January-March 2011 – for

consoles, handhelds(??) and PC ."

2)
BioWare to announce new games at E3, says Muzyka (Jan 28, 2010)
http://www.vg247.com...e3-says-muzyka/

BioWare co-founder Ray Muzyka has told Eurogamer in a live-chat that it will be announcing
new games at E3 this June.

Asked if that was the case, Muzyka simply answered “Yes!”
He wouldn’t state what to expect with these reveals, though.

Either way, you can bet a lot of money that at least one of these new
projects will be for PS3.

Muzyka confirmed earlier in the live-text that the
developer is currently working on titles for the system.
He wouldn’t confirm if one of those titles is, in fact, the talked
about port of the Mass Effect series.
Indeed, one of those titles to be revealed at the event could be Mass
Effect 3. Muzyka reiterated during the live-text that the title is in
pre-dev.
E3 takes place between June 15 – June 17 at the LACC in Los Angeles.

1) There's no proof anywhere that it's Dragon Age 2. It's possible, and there's arguments for both sides, but I don't think it's confirmed anywhere that it's Dragon Age 2.

2) That's six months old; EA could have put their foot down, the situation could have changed. If, however, it is true - Why would they announce Mass Effect 3? It's already announced, confirmed and all that. We just need information and a release date now.

3) Does hint to/confirm DA2, yes, but not for the 2011 release date.

Negativity? Try realistic. I've not said it won't be DA2 - I've said "I don't believe it's DA2 and here is the evidence to support my point"
It's easy to take something like the Awakening flyer and instantly make claims that it's DA2. One I find funny, no offense to anyone, is the fact the dragon has two wings. I have to say I've not really come across any dragons with fewer than two wings, unless of course you're talking about the Komodo Dragon which is actually not a winged creature, let alone a mythical beast.
That list does not confirm it's Dragon Age 2 - it could be a Journeys-based game, an expansion... It could be a tie in to the anime. It could be anything. The list also has some incorrect facts - Dead Space 2 is Consoles & PC, not Consoles & Handheld as the list suggests. Medal of Honor 2010 doesn't have a handheld release, either - There's quite a few "mistakes" or inconsistencies on it.
Yes, it could be Dragon Age 2, but there is more evidence to suggest that it isn't rather than it is.

I will say that means it's probably software, and not an anime movie, comic book, or community event.

However, "dragon age title" could be an expansion, or a spin-off game in another genre. Just saying.

I will say this: sequels always get at least six months ahead-time hype; if it is, I'd be shocked if, after saying nothing at E3, there's nothing revealed by September.

There could be one or two more DlC in this calendar year; here's just hoping they'll be better than the last two.

Well, there still is some hope then. I'd be happy with any Bioware game to be honest. As long as its not a sequel to that sonic game or another MMO, anyway.

From reading different sites, I am getting the impression that Mass Effect 2 did MUCH better than Dragon Age,  and thats probably why EA is proceeding with ME 3.     Just a hunch, given that EA seems to have be watching their bottom line these last couple years.   Plus laying people off twice,  thats not very good.

Meantime....we are mushrooms, keep us in the dark and feed us .............. ya know? :P

THAT QUOTE was done in January,  then whoop someone at Gamespot posts that DA 2 and ME 3 will be talked about at  E3,   whoop again, and EA steps in and says...WRONG.

Those are old postings,  the newer information about the "rumours being quashed, were put out by gameinformer stating just a couple days prior to E3, that ..that was not the case.

I watched the EA conference, not one single hint or reference was made to Dragon Age, Bioware (other than the TOR ..CGI movie)  or ME 3.

That seemed to be a last minute save, or change of plans.

From the looks of what Ray Muzyka had stated, he truly believed they would be at E3.     "Somebody" changed that.

Dragon Age 2 and Mass Effect 3 aren't talked about at the EA press conference so the assumption is that EA is forcing Bioware not to talk about those titles?

It's like Goodwin's law here, but instead of comparing people to ****s, it's blaming something on EA.

One of the co-founders of Bioware said they'd be revealing a game at E3 in January, and then a few weeks ago EA said there'd be no reveals.

Do you need it spelt out for you?

He said yes to reveals at E3 not revealing a game.

Reveals can also mean  revealing features of a game.
Which they have.

Ships, PvP, trailer, and a live demo of The Old Republic.

Edit:

It is worth reiterating that E3 actually
starts today, the Press Conference isn't the entire event.
