It's not official unless it comes directly from either BioWare or EA. Last year they had a page like this as well and some of the games listed were not shown.

There are doubters, Make them see the light. Guide us through these dark times. I just wanna see the reapers ****ing annihilate everything. I bet its the announcement EA made about ME awhile back.

In this German article they added this:

"Don't hold your breath yet, neither DA2 nor ME3 have been confirmed officially. The only thing we got out of a spokeswoman was a dry "No comment!"" (Roughly translated but accurate) So Bioware's teasing us again.

starcraft, warcraft series, early command and conquers, and Rise of Nations would like a word with you

Edit: Forgot to add: Homeworld series, Sins of a Solar Empire, Age of Empire I and II, Age of Mythology...

Company of Heroes and Starcraft would like to disagree with you.

Also, EA's already said they were planning something 'far-reaching' for the Mass Effect universe, and Casey Hudson's already said that the Mass Effect franchise will continue without Shepard after the 3rd.

An expansion or multiplayer mode isn't 'far-reaching' for any RPG or shooter.

But looking how God of War was a success eventhough it started on an outdate platform suggest that such a rush is unjustified. Specially ME3 as the final chapter of the story has lots of hopes on it and alot of potential, which can hardly be met with such a short development time.

I dunno much about DA:O, but I wouldn't be that worried about ME3.  This is probably just an announcement and maybe a video teaser with some vague questions answered that are designed to build hype.  Bioware is great at hype building lol

Agreed. The Age of Empire games are some of the best games ever made. Anyway, on topic I find this hard to believe. ME2 has been out for only about half a year and DA hasn't been out a year yet, but they're going to talk about the sequels to these series already? I know that they talked about ME3 coming out much sooner after ME2 than it took for ME2 to come out after ME1, but I always remembered hearing that that time would be around the end of 2011 or the start of 2012, which would make next year's E3 a better choice.

As for DA2, I know there's that insert with the expansion with the Feburary date for next year, but it seems a little early for a sequel. I was thinking more likely the next expansion for DA. But maybe this really will be an announcement for the next games in those series. I hope so, but I still think it's a little too soon after both of those games came out for a reveal of the sequels.

Yeah, I'm going to go with the people with allergies. 

Most likely, they will be releasing the Liara/Shadowbroker DLC in January.  (which really sucks by the way... I'd like it sooner.)   Like a hopeless optimist I was expecting ME3 to be out first quarter next year.  But.... I really want them to do a good job, so I'd be willing to wait Q2 or Q3... maybe Q4.  But I'd like it before we all die in 2012. 

And how about a better collector's edition copy?  ME2 had almost nothing worthwhile... throw in an action figure or helmet, guide, or a more indepth "making of" or "behind the scenes"... I felt a bit ripped.

(oh, and just say 'no' to RTS!)

Given that they had that exact same plan for DLC for transitioning the story between ME1 and ME2 I won't hold my breath on that coming true here for ME2 to ME3.

Even after EA denies everything people get their hopes up. I'm curious what this forum will look like after E3 and they haven't showed anything.

its not out of the question that we may see a teaser. Like the teaser for mass effect 2 was sometime last year (january or feb?)

Point is mass effect 1 was released in late 2007. The 2nd one was like a couple months over 2 years. The developers even said they wanted a short turnaround for ME3. Would it be out of the question to see a teaser to see "Mass Effect 3. Fall 2011"
