Actually, most of them do it when they have no more legs to play and they're winning and the game is right there at the end. I don't cheat either. Even in good old Diablo 1 I was a legit/purist even with all the duped goods around.. hehe
But my point is, it really doesn't matter if the other team player exaggerate the injury to win some time. When our team score and again and win in in spite of such theatrical, that's the biggest punishment for the other team because now they have no time to play again! I have seen this way too many times and I love when a team tries that fall and fake but gets a goal against nonetheless and then they are in such a hurry!
Get it? We win despite anything and when we can't it is because we didn't do what it takes.
EDIT: The One, we do not cheat because we can choose so. I wouldn't know if I were a pro soccer player and my team has the lead in the final 5 minutes of a World Cup knockout match. I might do it as well, if the other team player were dumb enough to touch me. It is a lot of pressure.
Other sports have it as well. Michael Schummacher, allegedly the second best driver of all times (after Ayrton Senna, of course) but with all the records did win his first title by throwing his car against Damon Hill in the last race of '94 season.
I used to love boxing and I've seen an unbeatable Mike Tyson destroy all his opponents usually in the first round. When he lost his first match to a guy I doubt anyone remembers the name without researching for it, I bet my soul it was a fix! And well, he could only go down after that although I admmit it, his biting the ears off of Holifield was the funniest thing in a bloody sport!
