I think there might be rioting either way. If they lose angry rioting. If they win happy lets stick it to the Germans rioting. Although I heard there has actually been alot of trouble its just been well covered up, nothing huge just alot of small things.

Another point about the whole England thing their media have been going mental about the big game against the Germans how the Germans fear them and its a massive game, the biggest game of the world cup.

Irish tv put this to Dietmarr Hamman who is doing punditry here his reply? "Its just another game to us. They are just another team." They think the rest of the world hold them in awe.

Mav, this is the best German team in a long time, if not in all times. They've never had this many skilled players in a same generation. And well, my FIFA 10 called it a 5x1 to them! Just one more... heh (poor Argentina...)

The problems with English football I think are highlighted exquisitly by the last 4 captains. Beckham, Terry, Ferdinand and Gerrard. Beckham less so than the other 3 but still the money he makes and his fame is a joke when compared to his actual ability.

Beckham was a bad player who got hyped because of his hairdo. England lost good players (and their match against brazil in 2002) because of him.

Edit: And yes, the German team is good. They are playing to outrun, as they always have, which works. I prefer good, triangulated plays, but England can't pull them off.

They have possibly the strongest midfield and attack, but I see problems in the defense and the keeper (Khan and Lehman were excellent... this one is meh).

Was he really Mav or was that just part of his image? I appreciate he is a good player but I dont trust anything about him he is too much of a PR machine.

I disagree about this being the best German team ever. Other than Ozil, Schweinsteiger and Lahm none of them are that great. Klose and Podolski dont get on for their club teams, Gomez has looked awful any time I've seen him and Muller I'm not convinced about. They are a very good team but not the best German team ever.
