Strictly speaking, what Suarez did was really unwise. It got him kicked out of the game, and it landed Ghana a penalty kick that should have been made. Suarez was just darn lucky that the guy choked so hard on that kick. This was a lucky break for Uraguay in more ways than one.

Even so, eat it Ghana.

So revengeful... I wasn't so when US and England went out... wait a sec, yes I was, BWAHAHAHA!

Suarez could have just tried to head the ball away, like any normal player would do. Basically, he panicked and overreacted like a little girl. Maybe in Uruguay he will be celebrated as a hero (at least, until Tuesday), but after that...

Basically now an entire continent was robbed off a historic moment.

LOL at the proportional response! The penalty for a hand ball like that is a penalty kick plus a red card! Not banning for two years, not damnation to hell, nothing like that.

He did what he had to do and that's what it takes to make it a winner. Now, it's fraking 7 meters wide with one lousy stain of a human in the between. You don't miss a penalty like that and deserves to advance! Ghana had their chance and it was a 99,999999999 % chance to win!

When you get into the 0,000000001 % that miss that shot... you really should go home!

Congratulations Netherlands... (finally I'm unbanned)

All in all it was deserved. But I really want to know what the frak Brazil did inside the locker room at the 1st half break. That first ball by Felipe Melo at the start of the second, when he tried a trick with his heel and lost the ball had left me very worried already.

And of course, Lauron, after a first half when Brazil should have scored 3 to consolidate it, had a clear penalty when that Dutch jumped over Kaká's legs and the ref called it a corner (he didn't touch the ball!) plus that first Yellow card tor the other Dutch that should have been Red for a pure aggression on Luis Fabiano.. the second half was all orange.

I bet those fraking religious fanatics like Kaká and most of the others kept praying as if they had already won instead of preparing for a tough 2nd half. Their attitude was that of a "God's in our side and we cannot lose" made me sick. Plus that fraking Japanese that should never be allowed to ref a game again. Butt FIFA would never just forget that the next one is in Brazil...

Out of one error, on your country's side, you're basing this? I never complained about England's fouls on Slovenia. If Brazil wanted to win, really wanted to win, and not protest on a not given penalty, they'd need to start kicking that ball instead of hoping one goal was enough. After 10 minutes of play, sure Brazil was superior. After 45 minutes, even more so. Yet Dunga appeared to not be so calm. Leading, yet he was angry or preocupied. He saw something I think. All in all, Brazil had a wonderful team, they could EASILY have won the WC... they however did the error alla Slovenia. Only 45 minutes of game. And the ref cannot simply decide the faith of one team, penalty given or not.

Hey People... I was a goalkeeper until few months ago, when I had to stop play for a knee injury
There is nothing strange in what Suarez did.. When I was in the last moment of the match I always wanted my team mate to save eventually some shot with the hand if the ball was entering..

To Suffer a goal just mean to lose, you have to try whatever you can for the victory, therefore it's normally try to avoid it in any way...

BESIDES... It's not that Suarez saved the goal and the referee didnt'see. In that case you can use the word "robbery". But all the rules were applied and Ghana had a penalty kick

Never forget that when you miss a penalty kick is always your fault....

What exactly was so unwise about it? If he didnt handle it then they were out, if he did then it gave them a chance to stay in. Unwise how? He sacrificed his participation in the biggest game of his life so his team could have a chance of advancing. I would have done the same, anyone who wouldnt is greedy and doesnt deserve to be a professional player.

Yeah, you're right. I forget that it was in the last moments of the game. I still call it unsportsmanlike though. Fouls/cards are not things to be "spent." Even if it was "smart" those things are against the rules because you're not supposed to do them.

What did you think of Henry's double handball against Ireland?

I don't think there's anything professional about Suarez's reaction, I think most players would've simply tried to head the ball away (and really, it looks like he could've easily done so).

I just hope Argentina does not something like that if they happened to get under pressure by Germany tomorrow. Otherwise I might send a letter to the FIFA personally!

Seriously... give us some credit... can we stay out of at least one WC discussion?Posted Image

I agree that doing something that is specifically against rules is never professional.

Until Spain gets out, I am not happy. When they do, I won't care who wins or how they wins. I just hate Spain (for one person actually... Puyol... I hate Puyol).

@Virumor
Henry's handball was different, France could still have won the game without it. Ireland had 2 games to beat them and didnt, anyone who ****ed overly about it demanding a replay is a clown. It was a bad decision by the ref thats all. I hated Henry before it and I hate him after it nothing changed.

Suarez's was a totally different situation if he didnt handle it they were out. There was no 2 ways about it, the ball was going in the net and they were going out. He would have got a bollocking off his manager for NOT handling it. There was no injustice the ref made the right call and Ghana fluffed it.

That doesn't make it any less against the rules. That a manager would get angry with a player for not cheating is something that makes me sad.

Also Paris Hilton is a dumb *****.

Ah well atleast they arent all on steroids unlike the sports in some countries. Suarez took one for the team its no worse than Luis Fabiano's hand ball against who was it? Ivory Coast? Only difference is its more high profile because it was last minute and on the line and he was actually punished for it. Ghana have no one to blame but themselves.

Eugh Paris Hilton, that reminds me I watched Keeping up with the Kardashians last night, does anyone have a gun I could borrow?
