Im bowing out now though the amount of points on offer in this round make all my predictions so far more or less obsolete. It makes the last 2 games basically a lottery, me and Mav could finish bottom despite leading from the very start.

It wasnt their tactics it was the fact they came up against a team they couldnt walk allover like most of the other teams they played. I said it all along no one really tested them. They are a good team but not the team people made them out to be.
They invite Spain into their half to attack all the time without pressuring the weakest point of Spain. A poor defense. Spain's middle field is really a good one. They played like Barcelona... keeping the ball more than anything else. But to attack you need the ball so the match was always in Spain hands and they really created a lot more in this match than in their previous matches.
Germany could not ever counter attack because they simply didn't have the ball! Spain could have scored many goals if they were good finishers!

Alright, I'll give it out to you. Just go with the flow. If everyone scores pointsas, you should too. Oh, but Harry has the lead now and he deserves it. He's the only one who scored with both Semi Final matches. Which are undoubtfuly much more important than group matches, thus the extra points to reflect it.
On the other hand, if you go for the surprise result and get it right, you'll be back in the lead. But you got both Semi finals wrong! You can't expect to lose the Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Finals and still win. Ask team Brazil.

But thats the same thing they did to England and Argentina. The difference was Spain had the players to hurt them, the other 2 didnt have creative midfielders to control the game the way Spain did. Germany were only brilliant up to this point because teams let them be brilliant. Im not saying they are a bad team just that they were made to look alot better due to the teams they played. I think they got a bit caught up with how well it worked up until this point and assumed it would work against Spain too.RageGT wrote...

Did you play in the Semi Finals? I don't have it registered so it's NO POINTSA for you!

Im not talking about losing the semi's I got those wrong and Harry deserves to be top he has been up around there for most of the tournament. I have absolutely no issue with anyone else winning or being top.RageGT wrote...

My point is I have lead the whole way but its for nothing if theres enough points available over 2 games that I could finish bottom. Below people who havent even been here from the start. It makes the earlier rounds pointless. We may aswell have just waited until now and predicted these games.
Im not arguing or compaining about the game as a whole. Its been fun and well organised. I have enjoyed it and realise its just a bit of fun. But I just dont feel the points available in the last round are fair.

But we all know who is to blame for the outcome of the match...tomorrow I will have octopus calamares for dinner! *hrrrhrrrhrrrr*
Congrats to the spanish team, you were clearly better!
But kicking England and Argentina out of the tournament is maybe not as glorious as the championship title, but it is at least as glorious as being the runner-up!
Greetings from germany; I had a lot of fun during the tournament!

That means that aerodynamics scientists have confirmed that the ball warbles all over the place in mid air.

I liked Spain's play better, and maybe it is finally Spain's turn. Finally.
Btw, Rage, I agree with Druss... making the early predictions is much harder than taking a lucky guess on 1 match after following the teams for the entire tournament (where you effectively have 50% chance of being right). I understand you would want to keep things spiced, so how about you introduce a MINUS for wrong predictions to go along with the added points... You will have to do the math, but basically make it so that the leaders have to lose for the bottom people to catch up
