Ofcouse, Robben could and should have scored, he had 2 great chances for it and fked those up, but than again, he isn't a good player, he only has one move, one that everybody knows..Adriano87 wrote...
@Kimosabe0, that was because of copy-pasting dark-lauron post and I didn't check it goodly!
the defeating of dutch is because of Robben, Van persie and finally bad SUBSTITUTIONS by Van Marwijk.
and the goal was right.
And Van Persie was the worst player ever on any world cup, I cant understand why Van Marwijk, who until the finals, had been so good and made all the right decisions, kept putting him on the field.
And the substitutions this match, non of the people here understood, they absolutely made no sense AT ALL

Most Dutched deserved the yellows, I wont disagree with you there but the Spanish were just at worse, especially at intimidating/complaining at the ref... at every little thing that happend at least 3 Spanish guys were around the ref to ask for a yellow and when Robben did that one time, HE got yellow, while the Spanish never got that for doing exactly the same thing....the_one_54321 wrote...
I actually really liked the ref. He didn't put up with a d*** thing from any of the players and handed out yellows liberally. In my honest opinion (and again, this is from someone who really didn't care at all about either team) the Netherlands god more yellows mostly because they kept complaining to the ref, whereas the Spanish players backed off when he told them to back off. ****** the reff off and you suffer the consequences.philiposophy wrote...
The referee had a stinker as well.

I don't know. Lippi did a good job in 2006 (and was happy for Italy)... this year nah...
At least there is no TV bashing (sorry, couldn't watch Italian TV for 4 years because of the victory!).
Wait ,you ARE Italian, right? If so "Saluti dalla Slovenia (e si, so parlare Italiano)"
Sì..io sono italiano
Lippi really went crazy this time.. He built a team made for half by players of Juventus, and if you follow italian football you'll know what kind of season Juventus did.. 13 matches losses in 2010.. most of them with no less than 3 goal taken
Moreover he called old players at the end of their career, other players totally inadequate for a World Cup, he left home good players like Cassano and many others just because he doesn't like them
Well.. that was the result.. and what he really deserved

From what I saw, when he told the Spanish players to back off, they did.

And, I think it was Iniesta, did the same thing after he fell down in the penaltyarea of us...the_one_54321 wrote...
Be fair. Robben chased the ref down from halfway across the field and screamed at him.
From what I saw, when he told the Spanish players to back off, they did.
And they backed up, but 5 minutes later they did they complained again.. and that throughout the entire match..

The difference here being backing off when you are told to. Both sides did their share of b******* at the ref. But one side wouldn't back off and one side would. The side that wouldn't back off got more cards. Doesn't seem unreasonable to me, and I actually like the idea of it as it discouraged drama during the game.

I don't know for sure it was Iniesta, could have been someone else, but he did a similar thing..the_one_54321 wrote...
I didn't see Iniesta do that. I may have missed it.

And I am not complaining or anything that we got to much cards. because we deserved them but they should have gotten many more than the have had now
But maybe I can see things more clearly/objectively tomorrow, atm im just to dissapointed, pissed of on Webb and have to much blood in my alcohol..

You know that Paul is Chuck Norris' second face right? He'll kill you just by being on the same planet if you happen to threaten him seriously. And then he will send an Army of Mr.T's after you, commanding them with his psionyc brain waves.
You'll just get pauled right along the others that tried. Did you never wondered what happen to those that already tried what you were thinking of?

Oh yeah, he should have received the red card without second thought. The yellow was REALLY cheap. I mean, WTF was he thinking? He was tottaly off the play and intentionally violent.Kaiser Shepard wrote...

And I should say that both Spain and mainly Netherlands players should be ashamed of making the most violent of the World Cup finals. It was really hard this to watch this bad played and sometimes violent football sometimes.
Anyways, this thread and pool was great. Besides some really bad football, this WC was somehow fun. At least we had some laughs about the vuvuzelas, Jabulani and the octopus.
I really hope we don't screw up 2014.
And I hope to meet some foreign chicks.

Actually from taking some college level medical class I do not believe (85% sure) the blow like that would sudden heart failure, thus killing him outright. That said you are right that something like that can kill, my trauma, internal bleeding, puncture of organ via broken ribcage. But not sudden heart failure. And I agree with you on him being banned.
I don't really watch soccer but was a tad upset; I was planning to catch the last part of it, but I was pulled over by a cop. Speeding, I forgot it was a 40 mph zone. Glad to see Spain won.

I still can't believe we didn't get a red card for that. I got the feeling that yellow is the ref's favourite colour.
