Im curious as to why the English get called British instead of English? Ive never understood why they always say it on American tv shows and stuff.

In Slovene it's "Angleži" while there is no way to tell British. "Britanci" perhaps. UK in Slovene is "Združeno kraljevstvo".

Yeah but you never see the Scottish being described as British its nearly always the English. I wonder things a bit too much lol.

The Scottish, Welsh and Irish are passiobate about what nationality they are, and fight for it. As do I actually, I am English, not British, its a political statement with me after 14 years of Labour...
Most English though either dont care, or dont understand what it really means.
