If I was going to cheer for anyone, I'd want some of the current players for the USA team involved. Because 4 years from now, I'm still going to cheer for the USA.
Hhmm Everton could be the team for you then Tim Howard plays for them, Donovan was there on loan last season and they are looking to sign him permanently I hear, plus they have a few US players in their reserve and youth teams I believe.
EDIT: I believe Altidore is at Villareal.
Mav you missed the greatest piece of commentary I have ever heard, implying Mark Lawrenson (I've completely forgot how to spell his name??

You should support Leyton Orient.
Tim Howard plays in Everton.
Clint Dempsey in Fulham.
Josy Altidore in some Spanish team... can't remember which.
Also, Mr. Superstar Landon Donovan is LA Galaxy I believe, but the Galaxy are garbage so don't root for them. Tim Howard is one of the best goal keepers in the world, and a large part of why the US does as well as they do now on an international level. Dempsey's a jerk, and a former New England Revolution player, so I hate him by default as a DC United fan, but I'll be glad to take his goals in int. play. I mean, it's up to you really. I'd support an MLS team as well as a foreign team though, if you choose Fulham or Everton, just because US Soccer needs support. Choose DC United! (Even though we sucked last year).

I dislike LA because the city itself sucks, and I hate the Lakers. So Galaxy is out. Tim Howard is freaking Iron Man. He was drop kicked in the chest, full on with cleats, and not only did he finish the game, he made like four more saves in the second half. So let's go with his team. So..... Everton?Archdemon Cthulhu wrote...

And Brazil always win the interclubs championship whenever we're on it, except when Palmeiras played it because, well, Palmeiras sucks and we all loved to watch them lose to Man UTD.

Howard used to play for Manchester United and he started off well but he made errors in some big games and never really recovered his confidence and we signed Van Der Saar who is a legend, so Howard was loaned and then sold to Everton where he has done well. He isnt one of the best keepers in the world either dont be fooled by that, he isnt even the best keeper in America, Brad Friedel is but he is retired from international football. Howard is a good keeper but not one of the best in the world.

A friend of mine works at Disneyland Paris. She sometimes escorts VIPs through the park. When she got the news that she was going to escort vd Sar and his family, the first thing she thought of was me.

It took us a long time to find a keeper that could replace Schmeichel and VDS was the only man that could do it. Which is probably the best compliment you can give a keeper. I dread seeing what happens when we have to replace him.

She only knew him for one day XD. But she told me he was very kind, nice and level-headed. I envy her
And yes the_one, he looks kinda goofy. But I never said my taste in men is normal
It always made me sad that we never won anything big with vd Sar in the national team.

Donovan was on loan to Everton (with Tim Howard, Aussie Tim Cahill, and others) for a few months and did very well, but Everton has a limited transfer budget and couldn't come up with the funds to keep him. Rumor is that they may make a bid after the WC, but at this point he may have become too expensive. There are rumors of him going to other English teams.
Bradley plays at Borussia Moenchengladbach in Germany. There are, again, rumors of an English move, though this is less likely than Donovan going over.
Howard is usually excellent but looked still injured against Slovenia.
