You ever get to the point in football manager Mav where improving your team becomes almost impossible? Because the players that will improve it are costing around £30m but will probably only be squad players.
FIFA World Cup Pool - Spain, Harry and THE OCTOPUSS are the great champions of the 2010 World Cup!!!

On the xbox? I didnt like the demo it felt like controlling drunks running in mud.
Im currently looking for another striker to add to the rotation. Hulk is going to cost £30m he would add the pace and finishing that we sometimes lack but he would be 3rd choice behind Lukaku and Neymar.

Yeah, too dumbed down on the pc (my platform of choice).
And buy him anyway, in FM I always have 2 teams (1st and 2nd), 1st team plays all important league games, champs league and FA cup, 2nd team always plays all other cup games and unimportant league games
Keeps players happy as they all playing, and stops players getting over tired in a 60+ game a year season

Aye I have the same tactic but £30m is a big outlay for the second team and I'm Sunderland lol. I might stick with youngsters but they dont inspire alot of confidence yet.

Haha thats why they need me. Ive won League Cup, FA Cup, Community Shield, back to back League Titles and got to Champions League final last year. All in 5 years. I love the way lesser teams can still tap up my players though.

What on Earth is wrong with Germany? They are 45 minutes away of being eliminated and I don't seen them playing at all. What happened to that team that played well on first match? (I can't believe that Serbia will not score and win against Australia. If Germany counts on a draw there for the knockout spot, they'll be the new Slovenia!)
And Druss, England played really well against Slovenia. They created many clear chances of goal and a 3 or 4x0 score would not be exaggerated. Germany on the other hand is playing very slow, like they think they can score anytime. Well, I don't see them scoring unless they start creating the chances. Create 20 to score 1, that's what it takes sometimes, usually most of the time!

England didnt play well at all Rage, Slovenia were horrendous. Even the commentators here were saying England were awful and just did enough to win. It may have been 4-0 but not because England were good but because Slovenia were terrible. I hate England but they can play much better than that.

I wouldn't be surpised if Germany go out, it's a very stange World Cup, and many others like Italy could go too.
But hope results go for Cerrydd, she needs abit of luck!!

Yeah, but compared to what they played against Algeria, they did very well. At least they created the chances. See the US, hammering it the whole game to score only at the final minute. If they hadn't hammered it as much, they wouldn't have scored, IMHO.
And c'mon, even Rooney played a bit. The team ran a lot, that an important thing. Germany is still, playing slow motion. Where's that fast pass-pass-pass gameplay that placed them in front of the Australian keeper many times? That works for any team against any team. At least it shows will to win!

I think we are seeing with Germany it was Australia not closing them down in midfield that made them look so good. But they have another 45 minutes to set things right.
Rooney didnt play well at all Rage I support him every week for United and he was a pale shadow of his former self today. I think he is still injured from when he got hurt back in march.

Agree with Druss, they played well enough, but were not really convincing imo.

It is very wrong comparing a player in a club and in his national team. For many reason. Rooney didn't shy away from the match like he's done in previous matches, he gave great passes to clear goal chances, he had one himself with a bit of a bad luck in the finishing which hit the sidebar.
Messi would never be considered even a good player if all that counted were his performances for Argentina, particularly before the World Cup. He was a piece of garbage there.

Exactly. Agreed. Well enough. What more could you ask of a team under that kind of pressure? Andf it's a very "English" thing to blame the other team poor quality instead of acknowledging your own team qualities even if few or not explored to full potential. After all, none loses with the grace of an Englishman and actually looks happy with it!

Rooney played well in qualifiers for England he was top scorer. Trust me Rooney isnt half the player he normally is, something is wrong with him and I think its the ankle injury. We rushed him back from it and its affecting him now. He did the minimum you would expect from him today.
