I vote for long-term, obviously. At the very least, I want the option.

We all want the long-term option for the end of ME3, I guess. The question was if Miranda's romance was open for a "casual" or "continue as just friends" interpretation as well.VampireCommando wrote...

Did anyone here read the thread in the quests and storyline forum, where someone asked what Miranda's father did with her other sisters? We're all assuming he killed them, but really we don't know enough about it to even make an educated guess. If he thought of as Okeer of his "rejects" and didn't care much either way, why not take the easiest way and...not kill them, but give them away? Or is he so much of a control freak that his attitude is "either you live as I say or not at all" - an attitude, btw, not at all unknown in certain parts of the world. What do you think?
Like you said we have almost no evidence on anything for this so any theory is possable, however what i think is most likley is that he 'dispossed' of them one way or another, i mean the guy looks kinda ruthless, look at what he's done, i don't think Miri's father would of put in enough effort to see them all looked after and given to loving aring families, i think he either out right killed them off,or he gave them away to things like the Pragia research facility and put them to 'good use' so to speak, something like this seems most probable no?

It seemed far too serious to me to be a 'fling' i mean come on look at some of the things she says, maybe it will be the decision of the player on where the relationship will go in that aspect, i highly doubt they will program Miri to do anything regarding where it goes, i belive BW will leave it up to the player to either continue it or out right end it, at the start of the game maybe, but who knows, i guess we'll see what happens at the end of 2012.
If it all goes wrong though i'm still gonna storm BW head office like its a castle though lol.

He's the richest man on Earth. If he just wants to dispose of them, with no care either way, then he'd think of a solution that doesn't cause a lot of fuss. It also depends on how visible the "family" is to the public. If he's a corporate executive (I have him tagged as CEO of Earths biggest defense and bioengineering combine), then he can't avoid being visible, and if he is, then making family members vanish is difficult. Perhaps he had them attested insane and sent to some remote asylum....Collider wrote...
It seems more likely that he'd just destroy them. I'm not really sure what else he would do with them. Sell them? He doesn't really sound like he'd just give them away without some sort of reward in return.

Brilliant idea!, thats a point, why the hell dont we, i mean after i'm officially in a 'relationship' with Miri instead of Ash's photo disapearing, Miri should replace it, it makes it much better, saying that we do get the option to invite her up into our room for a glass of wine and a cuddle so its not all bad.

As long as that includes those who are faithful to Miranda, I'm all for it. My main maleShep doesn't have anyone else...Errol Dnamyx wrote...
The difference is, that you actually get to see her anytime you want and therefore don´t need a photo.. Unlike those that stayed with Ash... (but the faithful shall be rewarded) : (
@Yannkee:
Excellent picture, Yannkee. I want it on the Normandy, too.

So let's hope we won't see Miri's photo on the desk in ME3 for the same reasons.

But ME1 had better RPG elements by far, and Saren was a much better main villian than the entire colector race:P

Just checking: It's perfectly normal to want to hug Miranda after her loyalty mission and grin stupidly at Oriana's email, right? Miranda stopped talking to me right after her loyalty mission, so I didn't get the full effect, but I'm finding it very hard to be mean to her right now.

I reckon we'll at least see something, i think that the whole thing of cerberus protecting her and the option of Miri resgining could make cerberus do something rash in order to ry and get Miri's loyalty back, but that said not everyone's Miranda will have resgined, but i'm hoping we get to see Oriana one way or another, and i also hope that we get to see her relationship develop properly with Miri.

Oh wait, I forgot to say something relevant.
How do you think they'll carry Miranda's romance in ME3? How will they keep it interesting, keep it moving?
I've noticed that in Bioware romances the sex scene is usually pretty much the end of the romance path. For the first time it seems they have the opportunity for it to progress beyond that. So how will they do it?
As a writer I'd say the first thing you'd need to do is introduce new conflict. But for some reason I doubt they'll do that.
