Revan, have you heard of Sturgeon's Law: 90% of everything is crap. It's as true of fanfic as anything. Since Miranda attracts relatively fewer writers, the effect is very noticeable. That said, I have read some very good sexually explicit Miranda fic. The best is probably a Miranda/TIM story I'm not at liberty to link here.

Non-Romanceable Characters and Demographics - It's another poll, continuing from one that I posted earlier, but for the other characters.

Finished Grunt's recruitment on this playthrough today. You would think Miranda would have more to say about it during the mission. At least an opinion on Okeer, other than the madman line in the Normandy. I'm pretty confident she doesn't say anything bc bioware just didn't write anything or had VA time constraints or what have you.

You know you can actually *edit* your posts, Revan? And there's sometimes a delay of up to two minutes before a new post appears in the thread. If you don't know that, you're going to create a lot of double posts.

As for Grunt, yes, since Grunt is for the krogan what Miranda is for humans, I did expect some comment. But there are lots of possibilities left unexplored in the game, so that doesn't bother me as much as when things were written and I think they shouldn't.

Ah crap. I thought I could fix it before anyone saw ... Forum noob. My bad. Also, I wasn't really complaining about her lack of comment. Making an observation, mostly. Again, sorry about the mess.
Edit: good point about things written being worse than not. "I won't let fear compromise who I am." ... Ugh.

And here's to Miranda staying that awesome and interesting in ME3. No changing her into a conventional Paragon and no chickification please. We want her resigning from Cerberus to have an influence, but the central aspects of her personality - independent competence and power, grey morality, wariness of emotional entanglements - should remain unchanged.

Yes, I know this has been said before, but it bears repeating.

that wariness of emotional entaglements should wane if they handle the romance development correctly though...

Yes, but only with Shepard. And Oriana. I meant she shouldn't change away from a generally guarded personality, except with those few she trusts.

Yes, it does bear repeating. I've been burned before, so I'm a pessimistic, paranoid wreck re: Miranda in ME3.

Morning. I wouldn't mind reading some Miranda-centric erotica. I leave the writing of it to those whose talents run in that direction. Honestly, I wouldn't mind reading more decent Miranda stories period.

Work in progress, not Miranda-specific and nowhere near erotica, but I'm putting together a story about her somewhat stormy relationship with the rest of the crew.

i'm hoping for me3 that you can actually develop the relationship you had with either the me1 LI, or me2 LI as you would in real-life, rather than just go through the "courtship" stage again... trouble is i don't see them doing both, and since it has to be open enough for new players... hm. the only thing they could do is "lock" the previous romances for those that have them (and then you can properly develop from there) and have 1 or 2 new LIs you can pursue.

Hey Miranda fans. I thought I'd bring your attention to some preliminary results for that demographic poll I've been promoting. A different sort of Miranda versus Jack. ;)

I know the forums at large take a more anti-Miranda stance, but I've always felt her fanbase was larger than what we see.

Interesting. It seems I'm a bit of an odd woman out. I voted for both Miranda and Thane (over 25)

I know the Miri and the liara fans get along, but Tali and Miri fans are like oil and fire expect for a few. Still the results where intresting.

That is almost certainly so. I also think the forums are currently biased towards the ME1 characters because most of us here are diehard fans, and these have a higher chance of being conservative.
