I desperately hope they revamp Miranda's model and textures for ME2. I just started watching Chuck and Miranda's facial textures/model do not do justice to Yvonne.
To be fair, what would do justice to Yvonne?
If anything, I just wished that I could make Miranda wear actual armor in combat. I mean, realistically, once her shields go down, the only thing between her and incoming bullets is her Cerberus bathing suit thing. The worse part is, Miranda is the type of person who would wear body armor if the threat level was high enough - sure, it'll be some custom armor designed by Louis Vuitton but still.
And yes, Jack is even worse.
True (@first point), but they must have messed up her light maps or something. The textures look terrible in a ton of dark scenes.
Techically, the suit could be made of some carbon nanotube/sythetic spider silk technology that might be able to stop bullets. It's doubtful, but still... A really light armor style could look awesome.

Indeed, and an even better reason to why they should have stuck to the original plan. My three femSheps' romance status at the end of ME2 is Kaidan, Liara and none.kraidy1117 wrote...

I'm of two minds about it. I'm all for it, but Miranda would have monopolized the romances in my ME2 games even more than she already has.kraidy1117 wrote...
*grumbles* I wished they would have gone with that plan.....
I don't even like the femshep romances in ME2 that much, I just stay loyal to Liara.

I think it's the lighting in the game in general, which tends to stark shadows, combined with her pale skin and facial contours. It's not the dark scenes that make her look bad, but scenes with bright light and shadows. In the following screenshot; the shadow of her nose is much too pronounced, but she still looks good because the scene is dark and the light not white. In bright light this would look much worse - real shadows in faces are never that hard, or that dark. It seems that the game doesn't do the effects of light diffusion well.Unit-Alpha wrote...

As for the facial contours: in another Omega screenshot (see below) you see a hint of the "problem zones", but it still looks very nice. Again, in bright light that doesn't come mainly from the front the shadows would be darker. In comparison, Jack doesn't have these pronounced features, Jacob has a dark skin so you don't see it, and the others are aliens and look, well, alien anyway.

Thanks. Making good in-game screenshots of any character is hard, but Miranda is very hard because of the aforementioned problems. Positioning is everying - I wish I could manually turn my squadmates in 5-degree increments and use a free camera.ADLegend21 wrote...
^second picture is one of the best screenshots I've seen of Miranda that's not in a cutscene.

I agree completely with this. I like that she's loyal as a rule, but not unthinkingly so. I wonder how her selective perception of Cerberus has lasted this long.jtav wrote...
Afternoon. Been having a marathon ME2 session and just finished Jacob's loyalty mission. "Loyalist" is a bit of a misnomer for Miranda since she she does value Jacob above protocol and it sounds like TIM was getting ready to read her the riot act for what she'd done. There's a lot of "this, but also that" with her but she doesn't come of as inconsistent except for the base and jealousy dialogues.
I've tried this, too. Doesn't work. Tali is OK as a companion as long as you don't romance her.I've deliberately saved her loyalty mission for last. Supposed to be romancing Tali, but I can't stop thinking of her as a kid. I like my romantic leads more mature, and I cannot buy this as a relationship between equals.
Might romance Miranda again, but this Shep is hyper-Paragon and is, in fact, the Shep from my current fic. I give the relationship a week.
I'd prefer Samara to Tali in your story as well. Heh...in matter of age and experience, there can't be more extreme opposites than these two.Samara's "romance" suits him best (and I might include it instead of the Talimance in the story) but Miranda's the only official option that doesn't strike me as grossly imbalanced.
BTW, I'll not be playing ME1/2 much for some time. I've noticed there is need of a return to BG2. One of my long-expected mods has actually been out for a whole year without me having noticed. I will maintain my presence here, though. Miranda needs support and I won't go the way of DarthReavus.

I don't know for sure. There is a vague memory in my mind that Joker's mission counts for talk triggers, but I can't guarantee anything. The one time I did missions (except Legion's loyalty mission) after picking up Legion was when I used the Early Recruitment tweak. Doing this for Legion is tricky, though, so I didn't do it again.jtav wrote...
Ieldra, what doesn't work. Right now my current plan is to pick up Legion, do Miranda's loyalty mission, get her post-loyalty convo, do Legion's mission, talk to her again, and get the last convo after the abductions. Will that work?
I once put off talking to Tali after her loyalty mission to test her romance in the shortest possible time. That did work IIRC (vaguely), so your method for Miranda should also work. It doesn't work with Jack because she has more, but shorter conversations.
Edit:
By "doesn't work" I meant the Tali romance doesn't work for me in the sense that it feels wrong.

Helena Blake: You took down two criminal warlords and persuaded me to retire.
Miranda: What do you do, Shepard, just run around the galaxy doing good deeds?
Shepard: My spandex were destroyed on the original Normandy.

No? I thought it's immediately apparent. The only difference is that Grunt was force-grown and his mind implanted with artificial memories. Since the technology seems available in 2187, I wonder if Miranda's father will try that next, after his genetically engineered, but naturally-grown daughters didn't perform to his satisfaction.Pwnisher wrote...
That's strange nightwriter, I never thought that Grunt and Miranda had so much in common...
And, while I'm at it, I do wonder what he did expect from his daughters - if they were meant to inherit his business empire, he shouldn't have expected them to not have thoughts of their own. Heh - the eternal problem of the competent successor: the ones who are competent and ambitious enough for the job inevitably become rivals or enemies far too soon for comfort.

Well, he is krogan, as he reminds us any chance he can. I don't think Miranda would be much disconcerted by that. But I can see some concern about the memory implants. She might start to wonder how much of her own memories are fake. Hmm.... I see more story material here.jtav wrote...
I imagine Miranda would be more disconcerted by the similarities than anything. Grunt is to violent and uncontrolled for her liking.
On the other side, if Miranda were asari, Samara would probably have to kill her, for she almost certainly has done things the Justicar Code would see punished. They have a few things in common, and I would like to see a deeper relationship, but it would be a difficult one.I'd also like to see a kind of mother-daughter relationship between Miranda and Samara. Samara speaks approvingly of Miranda as someone who bears her own burdens. Miranda never had a mother, and Samara has had to kill or institutionalize her daughters. Maybe they could help each other?

There's no problem. With everyone but the three LIs, you won't start a flirt accidentally. It's funny, really: while you almost stumble into a relationship with any eligible LI by accident, you can ask Samara about romance, but it's very much apparent if you do, and easily avoided. I wonder why Bioware made it that way.Vulgus Presencia wrote...
She does say something like,” I doubt anyone has ever asked his opinion on anything." Does Samara talk about Miranda? When is that? I generally avoid talking to the opposite (shepard) gender because I don’t want to accidentally flirt with them, therefore I miss a lot in the game.
