What we want to see in ME3
by shinobi602

  • We want Miranda to return as a squadmember. We don't want her to be just a cameo or have a few lines and then never hear from her again.
  • Full-on relationship with her. We would love for the romance between her and Shepard to be expanded significantly.
  • Much more dialogue between them, not just in between missions or certain checkpoints in the storyline.
  • More than one "love scene" would be exquisite, as it would really portray the relationship as something very real, with a lot of substance, and pretty much show it as ongoing, so to speak, instead of 1, 2, 3 conversations, then ok, romance scene at the end. We don't want it to "culminate" into a final scene, we would love for it to be ongoing, a constant romance that you experience and feel throughout the game.
  • Have our Shepard/Miri relationship recognized by others, more than what was in ME2. We'd love if everyone on the Normandy or other NPCs elsewhere had something to say or  what their feeling towards the relationship is. It would be nice for others in the game to know that "Miranda and I are together."
  • Have areas, scenes, or lines in the story or on missions where things change according to your romance. Meaning, it would be great if for example, you're on a mission or around the Citadel or planet and are interacting with NPCs, Miranda would have something to say if an NPC badmouths you or insults you. She could react or come to your defense. Or even better if the relationship were to be reflected in scenes in the game, and the scene would act out differently if you bring Miranda along on a dangerous mission for instance.
  • Develop her backstory! It's unanimous that we want to know what's going on between her, her sister, and her father. A mission where we have a chance to take down her father would be incredible!

That's why I joined the support group, and that's why I liked this thread.

Wow. facepalm. I don’t see how anyone could find that outfit attractive, I mean the strippers on Omega show less skin....and their strippers! I don't find it sexy at all. It's rather crude and annoying, maybe it’s just because I’m female and all but still…Bleh. Miranda is a person, she's the second in command of the ship, she’s not your personal play boy bunny...Gah, I know it’s just a game. And I apologize, but whoever made that mod has a horrible/cheap taste in what is sexy.

*looks down, see’s soapbox* *steps off*

I agree completely - and I'm not female ;) Neither is Yannkee, and he also agrees. Maybe we're unusal for our gender, but I don't find it sexy if an outfit draws attention to certain features as opposed to showcasing the body as a whole. That's one reason I like Miranda's black outfit so much more.

I <3 to see this happening in ME3 too. But to be realisticaly, if BW is going to do these things for Miri, they have to do that for other LIs also. Considering all the possible LIs in both ME1 and ME2, this is going to be a huge additional work load for them, so this is not propably going to happen...

But I wish that they will develope at least the blue coloured things......

What more do you need...

Proper combat wear
More dialogue with her, including a friendship path
Miranda to interact more with ither suadmates, including having Liara acknowledge her
For her to continue being an awesome, strong character and not reduced to her role as LI. The romance is nice enough, but it's not what I want them to focus on for her character in ME3.
At least the potential for her to take over Cerberus.
Well, you asked. ;)

QFT.

I want the romance to continue, but I won't be able to enjoy it if Miranda suffers from chickification.

If they make what you colored in blue, they also can do the rest . Developing her backstory is more work than expanding the romance.
I support her story AND her romance, I don't want that they focus only on one aspect.

This is outstanding!  This type of armor would be a great option for missions!  BIOWARE, please take note!!!

Well, the direction is interesting. Still, it's only a retexture, and you notice that very much because it seems like a paintjob, just like her default outfit. There's a difference between close-fitting and painted on the skin. In this thing the "butt-shots" are even worse than before, if you can imagine that. So, they style is definitely worth considering, but they should make different models for different styles and not limit new outfits to retextures.

Even if it is the casse, they don't have to worry about that now... They can release it later as a DLC. So that's the one with the higher possibility of happening. Because all other improvements have to be done within the given time frame and release with ME3.

No, not the romance...  I have mentioned about Miris background story! (like Shadow broker DLC)

I don't know if it's a good idea too. What will happen to Cerberus could be an important part of the story in ME3, and I think they can find a place for her backstory in it.

I certainly hope that I am wrong on this... because I <3 to see some Miri related new stuff in ME3... even though my brain tells me not to keep my hopes up :)!

I think it's more important to talk about what we want to see in ME3, and not what we fear to see.

After ME3 release we'll have time to discuss what is missing in the game or what we don't like.

Let us hope that there will be less content to discuss under that category.

Miranda's current outfit does sacrifice some (a lot) of practicality for aesthetics (sex appeal) but I like it better than the idea of combat armour (like what femShep wears). Miranda knows her way around a fight but she's not meant to be in the frontline. She's a Cerberus agent, not a soldier. This is just a personal opinion, but dressing her up in armour looks odd.

Weirdly enough, the armour issue is actually one of my major pet peeves in the second game. Liara is even more...non-combative than MIranda in ME1, but she's also given armour and nobody says anything about it. I can't help but grit my teeth when I bring people like Miri and Jack along to the disabled collector's ship; Jack especially with her chest strap and breather mask, while a meter away lies the vacuum of deep space. IMO, the addition of realistic combat and space armor on top of what squadmates already have will simply enhance their "kickass-ness" rather than detract from it.

comparing the 2 games is pointless as they handled squad outfits altogether differently. i absolutely prefer individual squad outfits and wholeheartedly agree that miranda wouldn't be in full combat gear - she's an operative yes, soldier no.

depending on how many new squaddies are introduced in me3, there may be a chance we'll get this sort of thing, BUT it's resource-intensive (not that BW would necessarily shirk from that - morinth is a decent example of that), the only big impediment is higher continuity = harder to attract new people not already invested in the franchise. it's a great wish-list of features though.

Oh, and to clarify: I'm not opposed to romance continuation. It's just that it's the sizzle, not the steak. I don't want her to have next to nothing to say because I'm not romancing her in three of five play throughs.

I don't want a 2 minutes romance content because they focused on something else.
Her romance is as important as her background story, I don't want that they focus only on one aspect.

And I think this thread was created to support both her romance and her story.

I just worry that the devs might think the only reason someone might want her back is to conclude her romance. If they should happen to read this thread, I want them to know it isn't true and I want all these other things as well.
