I know, can of worms and all, but I agree with jtav here. Miri as a virgin is really hard to imagine considering her aggressive behavior in the love scene. Assumptions are of course shaky ground, but if you are a conscious RPer or a fanfic writer, assumptions must be made because the game only provides the bare bones.

There's also the fact that she;s the character most comfortable with her sexuality. I like that. It's also fun as a writer. I've made a case for her being into BDSM before. Do you know how freeing it is to be able to have a character I can make that case for, someone who knows what she likes. I can use that.

BDSM is fun to write but surprisingly difficult. It's more than just sex because so much of it is mental. The trust aspect of it opens up some interesting possibilities into exploring Miranda's mindset. I wonder whether Miranda would normally be a top or a bottom. My first instinct is to say top, but if she found a very specific kind of person I think she could be a bottom.

I think Jack is the most comfortable.  Kelly said Jack approaches sex casually.

Not really. Jack's attitude toward sex is presented as a symptom of how messed up she is. Not so. Bad timing aside, listen to how playful she is during the lead up to the sex scene. Sex is a fun, healthy positive thing for her.

(I hate makeing assumptions because I can be wrong and I really hate to misjudge people in real life).

At the expense of making a mountain out of a salacious molehill, Tali's jump feels like a brash glomp to me, and glomping doesn't mean she'd know exactly what to do next, whereas Miranda's behaviour clearly shows experience. And I'm pretty sure everyone has the license to speculate here, these are fictional characters after all. The only hurtful thing I can imagine coming out of your assumptions is your imposition of them on other people, which you obviously go great lengths not to.

Hello! Differring opinions are welcome here as long as they're not overtly baseless and respect the other posters and their sensitivities.

All my MaleSheps are sole surviours, courtesy of a single ME1 playthrough. I blame the organisation, and not Miranda. Despite having TIM's trust, she remains head of a single cell, with no means of knowing the details of what other projects Cerberus is working on. So Akuze goes into the package along with Jack's suffering, Project Overlord, it did chaff me that she kept sprouting the official line that those were rogue cells or mistakes, but she does quit Cerberus at the end, so it's all good for me. Besides, I dont play my Shepard as full paragons anyway, so I'm not a rabid Cerberus hater.

I've tried creating a SS who'd romance Miranda. I just can't do it. It;s like the victim of an IRA bombing falling in love with a member of Sein Finn. I simply don't believe it.

What does Miranda say when Shepard says "What you disapprove?" I know what she says if your earthborn and a spacer kid but never sole survivor.

There aren't special lines for your career past, only for your general background. Since mine was the default Earthborn/SS, I got the kid from the slums line.

Yeah, it takes a bit of meta-retconning on my part. I opted for default everything when I started ME1, and the sheer horror that is the mako basically pre-empts me from going back to play it again and tweak some choices. So I'm stuck.

Well if your a spacer kid it is different from Earthborn.

Yes, that's what I meant when I say you only get special lines pertaining to your general background, not your career background. For example, you can be a spacer kid/SS, a colonist/SS or a earthborn/SS, but you'd only get different lines for the first part--ie. your general background.

If you're talking about the colonist background, Miranda comments on how you grew up in a prefab unit and lost even that when the batarians attacked. I do wish she'd bring up your service history again though.

I've never played a sole survivor, but if I did I'd have no problem with Miranda.

We're told point blank that separate cells are kept in total isolation from one another, and that the members of one wouldn't even recognize members of the other.

I think about half of my Shepards are sole survivers but as far as I recall, I haven't run into the dialog of Miranda talking about Shepard's background.
