I am not too sure, if I'd change a thing about her. I like her the way she is, rather not fix something that isn't broken. Works in all situations.
Agreed. I'll let Bioware handle the writing.

Agreed too, I'm very satisfied with the writing of her character.
They created an interesting and complex personality for her and they also succeeded to make her character evolve during the story. I would change absolutely nothing.

I've recently been watching the first season of Chuck and I can't help but draw parallels from Sarah Walker to Miranda Lawson. Secretive, intelligent, sexy officer in a secretive organization who ends up saving everyone - except it's sorely lacking Shepard. Chuck is funny, but he's a huge nerd.
It makes me want to know more about Miranda's history. I don't have an iThing so I can't play Mass Effect Galaxy (which I'm not sure adds to Miranda's plot at all anyway), but I would love a DLC or expansion or something all about Miranda - from rescuing her sister, to living on the run, all the way up to her meeting TIM and eventually being assigned to the Normandy. Miranda is easily at the top of the list of my favorite ME characters and I'd jump at the chance to learn more about her past.
In some ways I actually prefer Chuck to Shepard. Chuck is naive, idealistic, and innocent with a huge heart. He's also loyal to a fault and is willing to take on incredible risks to protect his friends (particularly Sarah), despite being scared sh*tless. These are more admirable traits IMO than Shepard's Chuck Norris impersonation. Miranda might look down on Chuck's naivette at first, but I think Chuck would be a great guy for Miranda.

Here's an interesting question for you guys; if you could change anything about Miranda's character and romance, if anything, what, and how would you change it?
In an effort to become a less-biased fan I've been doing non-talimances, and in Miranda's case I decided I personally would change the following;
1. A bit more background on why she's so *insecure* about her background. She's competent, attractive, and intelligent, and puts those traits to good, valuable use. I don't understand why it bothers her how it occured. Within the game, she takes the gifts she is given and more than earns it.
2. I feel like the fact that her romance is the most revealing, is both bad and good for her. Good, in that hey, who doesn't wanna see it? Bad, in that in portrays her as...fling-ish, rather than a true romance. I think that hurts her popularity and overall appeal, particularly to people like me.
Other than that, it's a very polished romance, and I understand, even if I don't reciprocate, her popularity.
Yeah, that, plus NO ASS SHOTS. Period. Just ridiculous. Whole outfit. Ridiculous.
Also, no "I just want to get you into bed" line (unless they make it renegade) and no fling-ish elevator dialogue.
In regards to the sex scene, I believe what they showed would be seen as less cheap and sexual if they had just handled the scene differently. How the scene plays out is everything.
Sorry, think I mispoke to an earlier poster, I don't mean the romance in and of itself is flingish, i meant the engine room scene. That, to me, looked flingish and hurt the romance storywise.
Totally agree with the outfit.

I'd change nothing about her character - except the two little things she says which I find actually out of character. But she needs a better outfit, and as for the engine room scene: while I don't dislike it as some others do, I would have liked a slightly different mood better, and a different location.Melrache wrote...

@Prudii Aden
Yep, the one you quoted is better.

I think we should see Yvonne cosplay her character. Now that epicness would be beyond epic. The world could end. Seriously.

So, Redemption occured one month after the Battle of the Citadel, Ascension two months...the Wiki doesn't say exacty when Galaxy takes place, just that it's in the year 2183. I've never played Galaxy, so I have no idea.
Though, it's quite odd that Miranda would be pulled of the Lazarus Project, just merely months after recovering Shepard's body, in order to do whatever she does do in Galaxy.

Ler me get this straight. Miranda left Lazarus Station to be Jacob's handler? My head hurts.

Very odd. I'm beginning to doubt the people who time the events have a single coherent thought in their heads. First the inexplicable compression of the after-contact timeline, leading, among other things, to the difficulties explaining Miranda's biotics and explaining the rise of humanity to a galactic power with hundreds of colonies in less than one generation. And now they can't even get the little things right.jlb524 wrote...

It would seem OOC for her to be hanging out and drinking champagne with Jacob while the Lazarus Project (in its very early stages) is being conducted by another (Wilson?)

Sorry, I'm just having trouble wrapping my mind around the fact that Miranda left Lazarus Station, particularly in the early days. It makes no sense. I wonder if I can get away with a retcon?
Sure you can, nobody seems to put much weight on events of the Galaxy anyway.
