and fongiel was right about that one sentence.
funnily enough BAE developed the railguns that the US Navy uses/testing right now, on their battleships.

Nice screenshots, btw. There's action in them. Most of mine tend to be more static, a result of my looking for good angles for too long.

i tend to just take loads of screens and try and cherry pick a few of the best (and unusual ones not so-far seen) for posting, sometimes i play sections again just to get better shots too (i have a disease i think - oh yes - OCD!). as fraps save BMPs i currently have over 4GB saved.... thankfully i auto-script them into JPEGs in photoshop, and that's resulted in cutting it down to about 300MB, which i'll keep. i've recently decided that i prefer the Aegis vest on shep, too so you may notice a change in there (seemingly it's not as good quality, texture-wise).

Same here. Miranda is my perfect team mate. She's an invaluble member.Jebel Krong wrote...
i take miranda everywhere anyway, but especially when i'm capping.... i do use the renegade option for that conversation because i'm a completionist - so i do get everyone alive (though on my current 360 playthrough i'm killing most - as you helped me with specifics earlier in the thread). i will copy the save profile and do one where i side with miranda, and also do a different end choice on another playthrough so i have most of *my* important bases covered for me3...

If you're a completionist, then you should occasionally leave Miranda behind on others' loyalty missions, because if you always take Miranda, you'll never get to hear team member comments from others.Jebel Krong wrote...

You should get the registered version of Fraps - it can make .jpg screenshotsi tend to just take loads of screens and try and cherry pick a few of the best (and unusual ones not so-far seen) for posting, sometimes i play sections again just to get better shots too (i have a disease i think - oh yes - OCD!). as fraps save BMPs i currently have over 4GB saved.... thankfully i auto-script them into JPEGs in photoshop, and that's resulted in cutting it down to about 300MB, which i'll keep. i've recently decided that i prefer the Aegis vest on shep, too so you may notice a change in there (seemingly it's not as good quality, texture-wise).

I take Miranda almost everywhere. She's just so bloody useful in almost all situations. My usual squad is her and either Garrus, Mordin, Thane, or Samara. The only thing I don't like is her loyalty power.
Same, I also take Miranda on just about every mission. Maybe it's because she's there from the very beginning, but she really is so useful and... there's just somthing comforting about her being there.
Plus, I feel like she'll give me this face if I leave her on the Normandy:

Yes, I meant her in-game outfits. I was wracking my brain trying to come up with something. I guess I have to switch to something else, "jumpsuit" sounds like baggy and no style.Elyvern wrote...
Sorry, your question wasn't clear, but are you referring to her in-game outfits? Actually, I can't think of a name, nor are there exact modern day equivalents. They look like skin-tight jump-suits, except they're actually two-piece.

Yes, I also don't like her loyalty power. Fortunately, you can maximize her other powers despite the point you're forced to spend there. And I am a completionist, but I also can't resist taking Miranda almost everywhere. There's almost no intersection with your companions, though. I prefer Jacob, Legion, Kasumi or Samara. My favorite would be Legion, except that we get to the Reaper IFF too late and it's so fiddly to mod the game to recruit Legion early.jtav wrote...

Well, to be fair, it seems to be the same case with most of Shepard's casual wear too, and the generic "suit" seems to be the best approximation. Maybe it's the drawback of the Unreal3d engine at rendering cloth, and the lack of credible cloth outfits in both games, to the point where I find it jarring when fics mention Shepard wearing t-shirts and jeans for example. I just can't wrap my mind around it. Perhaps you can invent a name for the type of outfit Miri wears?

It's gotten to the point where I tailor EVERY other squadmate's skillset to Miranda's because she's such a permanent fixture for my Shepards. She's ridiculously overpowered, so much so, I wonder if Bioware intended it this way in the first place. And yes, I put just one point in slam, but that's usually good enough.

I also find it jarring. I associate "colonial backwater".Elyvern wrote...

I believe "catsuit" is the term I was looking for. Miranda's outfits are two-piece outfits, so it's not technically correct, but the pictures I find are surprisingly close to Miranda's loyalty outfit. And the associations evoked by the name fit perfectly.Perhaps you can invent a name for the type of outfit Miri wears?
Edit: or is that too much associated with fetish clothing? I don't want that.

i know, but i'm poor - having a kid will do that to you...
yeah, i've played the game enough times to try most variations/squaddies/hear most of the comments (garrus' 'chewie' one on the citadel being a standout), i still occasionally come across something new, though.
her outfits are best described as form-fitting utilitarian suits, rather than anything else, the default is certainly more 'research' than the eventual alternate.
i hate all those variations, yannkee, sorry.
