I think Karen Traviss would do a good job of it - for the simple reason that she can write morally complex characters well - she seems to enjoy writing characters who are complex and occasionally morally ambiguous.

Read my mind! I loved her Halo short story in Halo: Evolutions.

Our Mirandas are eerily similar. And still, we write so differently about them. Fortunately. Fortunately it's so very plausible that Miranda is a very good hacker that hopefully no one will accuse me of plagiarism when my own first chapter(s) appear. Shouldn't be more than a few days now. Otherwise, I feel unable to review your latest chapter at the moment, for obvious reasons. I'll also refrain from reading any more of your Miranda chapters for now.

As for the picture: yes, that's more quote-worthy.

Unnecessary. My Miranda occasionally uses a hand crossbow as a stealth weapon:P. It's perfectly appropriate - and more sexy than a pistol. Has concealment issues, though.

There will definitly be similarities along the line as she is such definitive character, but there are nuances that many people might that pick up.

Anyway, my favourite (fanfic) author does round about 11 000 words per chapter, my average is 1 500! Need to work on upping the length. My last chapter was about 3 500 words so I am on an upward curve.

It's tasteless, AND pointless. While I'm sure the tali thread has a lot more of it, I do wish we can go through like 5 pages in this thread without coming across obvious troll pics, or misguided photo manipulations that are clearly aimed at prepuberscent boys below the age of 17.
