As for friendship potential for Miranda, I can see:
Mordin
Liara
Samara
Jacob
Samara could be difficult for reasons already mentioned, but Samara's role as a Justicar is, as I see it, only respected among the asari, and usually Samara does not act outside of asari matters. So she might be able to accommodate Miranda. They do have one or two things in common.
Thane? Hmm. Really can't see that. There's no reason why they should be friends. No strong reason why they shouldn't either. So I guess Miranda would follow her usual behaviour and stay professional around him.

Can't be the reason, for now they have to put a good romance follow-up for all nine LIs into ME3.... and follow-ups tend to be more difficult than new romances. I think they just went with the least amount of work with which a convincing emotional connection could be established, together with a little character development.Sixth Goul wrote...
Has anyone considered why the romance are so short in the first and second game? I think its because they didn't want to blow everything in one game. Imagine if they put everything about Miranda in one game, how would they fill out the final chapter?

Regardless of why they did it (I lean toward it being because there were six romances), it's too short and unsatisfying, so I therefore can't get invested in it. I'll still have a Shep who romanced her and maybe my feelings will change, but I regard the romance as the least interesting thing about her.
In feel the same way about the romance being the least intreasting part about her, although i does add a nice dynamic to it though, i admit i started getting intreasting in Miri's character whilst i was playing ME: Galaxy whilst she was Jacobs liasion. I also belive that the romance was so short because it was rushed as they had 5 other LI's to cater for aswel, i belive Ieldra had said something like this but in much greater detail before so i'll leave it at that, however i seriously hope the relationship is continued in a great way into ME3, in a way that it feels like a real realationship maybe, but i imagine this will be difficult for the BW chaps to do.

Just to say the missing video in the OP has been re-added. I forgot to reapply the embed code after my last edit. I wonder why the forum software always deletes it.

It's that way fro most missions I think they have general dialog, that everyone says. For the most part. Seems the only "hidden dialog, we get is if we take people from the second half into missions of the first half. IE Taking tali to Mordins recruit ment yeilds lots of Tali only dialog on the mission and with Mordin.

The romance is not shorter than any other. It only feels that way because we think so much about Miranda and know how much is left unexplored. I do get invested in the romance - it really does add to the experience. Everything else about her is what spikes my interest, but the romance adds to the emotional dimension. Without it the relationship would feel less complete. Perhaps this would be different if we had a friendship path, but as it as, I consider the romance important.jtav wrote...

I wanted it to be a fair poll, not about who like which character best. The poll was about who best represents all women in Bioware and right now it's a tie between Morrigan and Ash.If you were wondering, who I didn't put on the poll was Jack and Tali. Given what this poll is about, I had to disqualify both of them. To say the least there two gender stereotypes with respects to their fans in terms of romance and dependent(male counter part)(not taking anything away from character). I also disqualified all Asari's because the don't have a gender.

Oh and I love the little scene you get if you don't have an ME2 romance. She really felt like my XO there.

....you have got to be kidding me right? This guy has been trolling different character threads from what i've seen.
And seriously, i bet the bioware devs spent at least several months sculping Miranda's ass. Because its just......like, wow. Spectacular. I mean look at it!
