^ This. Honestly I would love to see Shepard topless. If I'm gonna play a guy who manages to win the heart of such a gorgeous woman, I would damn well want to have the physical assets to match too! But seeing maleshep topless in normal conditions would be unlikely because they'd have to make a corresponding change to femshep as well. Unless the devs make her run around in a tight tank top. If we're talking about the chance of it happening, I think it'll have to be in another romance scene in ME3.
And while the idea the TIM ordering Miranda to seduce Shepard would be interesting (it has been explored in some fanfics, albeit badly), I would think it short-sighted of him. You can't discount the fact that these things can go both ways. In a worst case scenario, he would lose Miranda if she ends up going to Shepard's side.
About her outfit: Sometimes, I even gibb my save file so I can do her loyalty mission early and stick her in her blue outfit for the rest of the game. Speaking of which, do we have any news when the alt apperance pack is coming out? I sincerely hope BW gives her proper armour, despite the insane clipping issues they'd have to deal with for her hair and the incongruity of Enyala's comment.

I also always really wished they'd focused more on the moment when Shepard stopped being a project and started being a person to her. They don't say when that was. They don't focus on that enough.
And yeah, I wanna see Shepard shirtless. Jeez, if you're going to make him out to be some stud with the ladies after him, let's see what's under the hood.

I have not seen anything about it, but i hope bioware will come with it soon. I also hope that the next post-suicide DLC mission will be about miranda and her father.

I like it because BioWare kept saying she was a femme fatale, but never showing it. They kept saying her outfit was ridiculously sexualized because she uses her looks as a weapon, but never showing her do that.
They did? That honestly sounds like just a filmsy cover-up for making her fanservice object to male gamers.

Very much so. Or her struggling with reconciling the fact that she has to take orders from someone who was literally a cadaver she could do anything she wanted with for 2 years. The only sign we get is her cold hostility at Lazarus and Minuteman, and then sometime during launching the Normandy SR2, it's like she suddenly made up her mind and everything was sunshine and puppies.

Agreed. I wonder how she can see him as truly human since he has been "meat and tubes" to her for years. She's his Frankenstein. How she came to see Shepard as an equal would be an interesting story.

rumours of an announcement for something mass effect in october... one can hope for a romance dlc, which seems more likely than one focused on a team-member that may not have universal appeal (Liara worked because it tied in directly with the shadowbroker and the main game), i don't think they would take the risk of focusing on one team-member for a dlc and not others; also why i don't think we'll see a 'virmire survivor' dlc, thankfully.
I'm actually divided about the possibility of a romance DLC, because the notion is inherently silly for an action-adventure RPG, and I don't know if BW would be willing to dilute their brandname towards making something akin to a Romance SIM, even if alot of fans are outright enthusiastic about the idea. And yes, I think a VS DLC just for the sake of levelling the playing field with Liara would be a stupid idea unless the content can be tied up to bridge ME2 to ME3.
But here's an interesting titbit. Another forum poster (sorry, can't remember the name) said that he's been hacking vanilla-ME trying to get femshep to romance Jack and always end up with mute scenes. But in LotSB (assuming it is voice-recorded post-vanilla), femshep actually talks about romancing Jack to Liara. I can't imagine why they would make Jen Hale record lines like that if it's been established that F/F romance is out of the question.

Yes. But to be more specific--I would love to explore how mentally she would not only have to relinquish the sense of power she has over Shepard as a project subject, but she must also grant him that self-same power over her actions as a superior officer. Given that she is such a confident and assertive person, having to reconcile to that wouldn't have been easy. Putting aside ethical arguments about the control chip issue, I felt that conversation actually reveals her personal misgivings about granting Shepard that power and control over her, as much as it raises the uncertainty of his motivations regarding Cerberus and the work they did on him.

interesting, but could be audio remnants that nobody's found yet - UE3 and ME2 use a very peculiar file-structure for storing game data. so it could have originally be intentioned (as most of the romances were) but ultimately dropped. also: at least this DLC was obviously planned from the get-go, given how unnaturally truncated Liara's appearance is in the main game, and how they left obvious audio remnants in there for the dlc integration later.

Am I strange for thinking she'd have no particular problem with seeing him as truly human, in spite of the cybernetic upgrades?jtav wrote...

@Elvyern:
That sounds more like a problem she could have.

Not becaise of the implants, but because she was working on his corpse for two years. Corpses are objects, not people.

haha!well, in all fairness, Jacob was supposed to have appeal... outside of a romance scene or the beginning of the game, i can't think of any plausible scenario where we would see a shirtless shepard, though. (personally i think he should have manned up at the end of LoSB and ripped off his armour in true kirk style and beat the silly yahg with his bare hands and bare torso).
the "redshirts" simply have shep's body, not the other way around!
I didn't find Jacob at all sexy and I'm female. I cringed when having my femshem romance him. No... Kasumi can have him.

Well they did have the Femshep have a short shower scene why not the male shepard? They could at least let us see some of his chest.... ! And the whole flushing toliet thing? Yep, it works even in outerspace he he:wizard:

Femshep has a shower scene? When was that? And considering default maleshep is Mr. I-can't-get-rid-of-that-stubble-despite-shaving, would they have to give him chest hair? Or face being called unrealistic? The mind boggles.

FemShep is in the shower at the start of Garrus' romance scene. Personally, I prefer the drell. I actually wrote the first chapter of a story pairing Thane and Miranda. I think they could make a good couple if you'll grant the xenophilia. I had to scrap it after LotSB, though.
Yeah, it would never work with Garrus... too many "pointy" objects.

No competition on the basis of looks alone. Add her personality and there are worlds between her and the next most interesting character.

I agree, 100%.
Wish there were some interesting news.. Maybe I am just out of the loop, but at least I haven't seen any about ME3.
