I think bio-synthetic fusion was encouraged to speed up the healing progress, and perhaps like stitches would eventually disintegrate within the body itself, although it probably had a lot of metallic reinforcement to clamp things like a shattered thigh etc. Although, I'm guessing this isn't quite right as well (although I'm not sure which or how much) because the body was clearly designed to have technological innovations incorporated like the many tech upgrades you encounter during the game such as Heavy Skin Weave and Medi-Gel injectors et al.

That would be valid except it's very obvious that Shepard's eyes are cybernetic as well. although I can buy that its likely he got a model that approximates his organic eyesight instead of giving him nifty options like infrared or ultraviolet vision. It was simply time that was of the essence in the Lazarus Project (supposing it's more time-consuming to clone eyes (is that even possible) and install them surgically), not the drive to make him a super human.

Well, eyes are soft tissue, it's likely they were destroyed in atmospheric re-entry. I'm guessing they were 're-grown' after the cybernetics were installed... perhaps as a 'base template'? I dunno!

The scene where she does that salute is just before you jump through the relay and she comes up and talks to Shep discussing how things are all set and how she is surprised by what Shepard has accomplished. It's made a bit more funny if you are in a romance with her, as you get this scene, then seconds later you get the romance scene. Which of course starts with Shep leaving the CIC to go to the lift and Miranda is already inside the lift.

Huh? I've never gotten the combination of both scenes despite having romanced Miranda several times on all my malesheps. It's always one or the other. And I think the conversation you're referring to where she is surpised by what Shepard has accomplished takes place in the one after her loyalty mission?

The one thing that still irks me about the romance scene is how in the romance scene at the start of it she can be wearing her alt outfit and yet in the end of the scene in engineering she is in the standard outfit. I don't think the outfits are that different for them to have been able to add an 'alt outfit stripping' model.

It bothers me a bit too. As far as I know, they had to create a new body model for her in that scene, but I suspect the scenario may fall under the same umbrage with characters wielding assault rifles or other incongruous weapons in cut scenes: it involved something techgizmodically arcane we don't know about.

It may not even be that, it could be a different texture skin basically. Hmm, I can't remember if her jumpsuit around her shoulders is 3d or not (as in, viewed from a side angle) to verify this though. If it's straight on they could get away with bump mapping etc (basically making stuff look awesome but not sacrificing speed really to do it) but if it is from a slight angle then yeah it would have to be another new model and a new texture. Then when she actually strips off they put in the new model/texture set.

I doubt Miranda has had her strength artificially enhanced beyond what her genes have given her. She doesn't need tremendous brute strength, and she's already above average.

I agree with this. She can never match equally enhanced soldiers anyway, so why start.

I imagine any implants she had would be targeted towards improving her speed, reaction time, endurance, etc. I'm trying to decide whether those would be more or less likely than something that improved brain function. A greybox would be enormously useful in her line of work.

Improved reaction time would also require enhancing the nervous system. But I'm not sure an implant would be able to do that. Speed is partly a matter of reaction time, the other half depends on strength, so no extra for that. I find it plausible that she has no cybernetic implants at all, with the possible exception of a greybox, which would indeed be extremely useful. Anyway, I do not think such things will be mentioned in any official material, it's better to leave us with our own image in that regard.

I think Shepard could have been completely rebuilt using only his own organic material. I would be very surprised if ME-universe medics couldn't clone any body part with the exception of the brain. That they used cybernetics was either due to time constraints or - more likely IMO - to give him physical enhancements. That would go against TIM's directive of rebuilding him exactly as he was, but I've always thought that applied more to his personality.

Speaking of which, have you noticed in the launch trailer of ME2, you actually see Miranda wearing her loyalty outfit *during* her loyalty mission. () Does anyone have a high-res screen shot of that since it isn't possible for her to wear that at that point in-game.

I agree that she probably has no implants. (beyond whatever biotic implant she has). Implants would violate the character concept. Not that it stopped me from giving her a greybox anyway. I think it suits her better than Kasumi since she's a scientist/spy--exactly the two categories the Codex mentions as using greyboxes.

I've always been suspicious of Bioware's intentions for designing the asari the way they did as well, but I guess I just want to give them the benefit of the doubt and pretend they were just trying to be original and not creating an entire race of Ms. Blue Fanservice aliens.

Then you give them too much credit. I think the idea was exactly that: to create a whole species of blue-skinned space babes. Originality was likely something they wished to do, but it was eaten up by the primary requirements: looking like "babes" and being able to mate with anything.

BTW: does anyone know how far you must progress in Miranda's romance to get Liara's romance-specific dialogue in LotSB? I'm replaying one of my Shepards and I wonder if I can LotSB before the suidice mission.

Thanks for that unique screenshot. I specifically wish she could wear the black outfit in her loyalty mission, for there are so many dialogue scenes there. Does anyone know  how to hack that? I'd go to extreme hex-editing lengths for it.

Ieldra, you can do LotSB before the SM, but you have to finish the romance until that point. "Assuming you're still interested."

I was working on other videos. I don't know if I will have time to work on the new version of the story & romance video soon, but I will try. I think there won't be major changes : my main goal is to increase the quality of the video, I used some low res videos to make the original one, I will replace them.

To be honest, your video got me through many a dull day. The only (minor!) quibble I have was I felt there was too much silence in between the speech parts, and I thought LotSB especially what Liara says at the end to Shepard would help fill some of those gaps nicely.

It would make more sense if she was wearing this outfit during the her loyalty mission regarding enyala's comment. I'm not calling miranda a ***** or anything but i think this outfit would fit the comment better:P

Really? You find this outfit more "whorish" than the white one? IMO the opposite is true, which is why I don't like the white.

I think the whole Miranda fanbase would be *extremely* thankful if you included Liara's romance-specific dialogue in any new video you make.

I also don't like the white one. Always as soon as i get the chance i put her in her alt outfit. What i meant was this outfit gives her the more femme fatal look IMO. Thats  why i thought i fitted the comment better.

You realize a femme fatale has style, while a "whorish" outfit is obtrusively sexy without having any style? A femme fatale look is one that would exactly *not* justify a comment like Enyala's.

I don't think it's possible. We can only hope Bioware will make a nice alternate outfit for Miranda, so we will able to replace the white one early in the game.

I will try. But I want to keep the final part (with the romance scene) without speeches.

Not a problem about the end without speeches, it is more memorable that way anyway. And since I'm a latecomer, I'd assume someone may have asked this already, but why not add the renegad-ish segment with the kiss and then Miranda being flustered? Personally, I thought that including that scene prior to the 3.40 would augment that part. Again, thanks for the video and ignore my comments if you wish. Just thought I'd add my 2 cents here.

I think I'm the only one who doesn't like the kiss. I don't dislike it. It just does nothing for me. Maybe I should have my title changed to "Official Contrarian."

Hey i was wondering. Does anyone know if miranda always buys that vid book "men are from omega women are from Ilium" or only if you romance her? Because i found it really sweet that she wanted to learn more about relationships. Maybe how she could work out her relation with shepard.
