How would you like Miranda to return in ME3? Shepard is probably going to be reset again, as well as separated from the crew. So, under what circumstances should the reunion take place?

Hmmm as soon as possiable really, but saying that i really am intreasting in how there gonna pull a 'ME2' all over again.

But seriously its the last game if there gonna replace all the squad with new characters again and Cameo the ME2 squad its totally gonna ruin the ME3 experiance for me personally.

I read this interview with Casey and he made a good point by saying that meeting cool new characters is part of the experience.  But, like Tali and Garrus in ME2 I think Miranda is one that will return (probably one or 2 others, my money's on Thane) to Shepard's squad in ME3. Yvonne Strahovski was kind of a commercial move I think, they'll want to keep her and she'll want to have a prominent role. She just doesn't seem to be like 'Yeah I love Mass Effect, you guys are the best, do whatever you want with Miranda I'm in!' but she'll want this to be something new for her career, she won't be shoved aside. She does care and does like Miranda as a character, she seems to be enjoying it enough to do another full game and story with Miranda. They're bound to be paying her quite a lot, probably more than the average VA. Add to that that Bioware already put a lot of effort into her and made her an accessible character from the get-go but still left a huge amount of room for development, I think she'll play an important part in ME3 anyway, I expect her to be a squadmate. This may not have that much to do with Miranda and more with Yvonne, Bioware and the franchise, but I think it realistic.
For me, Miranda is definitely the number 1 on the list of characters I want back, from both games. I think they're going to bring back more old characters, but also increase the number of possible squadmates. I think it would be coolest if we run into her while her and Shep's missions collide or something, and she'll agree to go with you (for the sake of gameplay, her mission will have to be completed too of course). Because we don't have any details yet, I really can't say that much about her recruitment, Bioware is going to top any idea I come up with anyway:p

Whilslt reading this it is apparent that you are correct on many things and puts my mind at ease that Miri will be in ME3, however there is still a part of me that is worried she'll be cameoed.

Hm... I have to agree with leldra2,without knowing way or what  illogical reason she has to leave, couldn't guess on a reunion. Hopefully, she doesn't get pregnant with a human reaper baby with the soul of a reaper.

This sounds incredibly familiar.

I could live with a core squad of Garrus, Miranda, Jacob, and Tali, but you're putting players who got one of those four killed at a disadvantage compared to someone who got say Mordin or Samara killed. I think our starting squad will be the two main human squadmates, and they'll be new. Miranda won't be the female lead again. I also agree that Strahovski will want a semi-significant role. What this means for Miranda, I can't say. It might guarantee her return as a squadmate, or she may have an Aria style role: important and helpfu, but not necessarily recruitable.

Yeah but BW put Tali and Garrus in ME2 as recrutables because they were the most popular, correct me if i'm wrong. I belive Miri have the second biggest following after tali, just about so therefore wouldn't history dictate that Miri stands a good chance of being put into the thrid game. But i suppose what we all want to know is how the romance is gonna be continued, thats what i'm worried about, i don't want another 'Ash on Horizen' moment but just replacing Ash with Miri.

I was actually thinking of the characters.
(1) Miranda is with Shepard, either because both are Cerberus or she has nowhere else to go.
(2) Tali's home is the Normandy now, and Shepard is her captain.
(3) Garrus has nowhere else to go and no duties or plans elsewhere. Also something of a sidekick to Shepard.

Most others aren't that clearly positioned, with the exception of Grunt, who has Shepard as his battlemaster. Thane might have a reason to stay if he's the LI, but not otherwise. The same for Jack. That's it.

If she were to return as a non-squadmate NPC I would think she'd be more active than Aria (which, by the way, will almost definitely be a squadmate in ME3:p Come on, Carrie-Anne Moss, Wrex' old nemesis Aleena, she's perfect). She is so inspired by Shepard and to a lesser extent Mordin and the STG I think she will then have her own squad and ship or something like that. Which could lead into you and her meeting:? Maybe she'll team up with Liara or something, when Shepard ventures into dark-space to fight the Reapers there, to follow him (I know I know, KotOR, it wasn't a seious suggestion). But if she's a love interest, I don't think Shepard would abandon her. Revan does, he wouldn't. And Miranda would be much happier as a squadmate and Shep's 2nd in command.

Exactly, i swear to god that if they cameo her it will totally ruin it for me, but as this is the final game i reckon they will pull out all the stops, but then again they have kinda put them selves in a awkard position where they have alowed all the Characters to be killed makes me think they will do somethink rash like Cameo then all, but i guess no matter what assurances i'm given i won't be happy till i see ME3 gameplay with Miri in the squad and as a romanceable squaddie again if you get what i mean.

I still think it's possible that imported games could start with some old squadmates, and new games with new squadmates.

I won't be happy until I've beaten the game and confirmed she hasn't been ruined and that the fanservice elements won't dominate her character.

I really like the idea of Miranda leading her own STG style team in Shepard's absence. Maybe it turns out that the two of you are working the sane case, as it were, and you help her out and she joins you.

Yes it is entirly possable, the question is however whether or not BW are willing to commit to a project of that scale.

What do you mean by "fan service elements"?

As for the poll Miranda is in third place(should be atleast second)19% Ash is in second(I guess Tali fans had to vote for someone)30% and Morrigan as number one 34%

I was suprised how the vote turned up in this one.

Sixth Goul, I mean that if her sex appeal is ratcheted up so that it's her dominant characteristic I will be angry. I want for her outfit to be more practical and the camera angles less blatant I don't want her to lose her competence or for her life to revolve around Shepard, especially romanced Shep..

Oh I see. I can agree that I didn't like it when they did it with Jacob,I can see why you didn't like it with Miranda. I agree on the outfit to something for a Renaissance fair would be cool.B)

Specking of making changes to Miranda, that face mask has to go. That mask that mask looks horrible and how is she able to breath with it, where is she getting oxygen?

[Enters] Bioware representative /answers/  BR: Miranda is so awesome, she defies all logic and reason. She doesn't need a face mask.

[ Random Tali fan enters]

Bioware representative ran away ;)

Too add insult to injury: she doesn't look good with that face mask, just ricidulous. And to think that her fans would actually let her go with helmet on unless necessary....
I gather the problem is technical: her head model includes her hair and hairstyle, and they'd have to create a separate one for the scenes with helmet. With the mask, all it takes is some tweaking.

Miranda will look good for the next 150 years or so. And even in old age she will look beautiful in a dignified sort of way. :)

I want her outfit to be just as practical as everybody elses....which is to say not practical at all.  I would like some armor for her missions though.  In the proper Mass Effect aesthetic of course.

Not sure why she would lose her competence or why her life would revolve around Shepard anymore than Garrus' or any of the other companions would.  I mean ultimately he is the hero of the game so he should be doing most of the work.  Having NPCs do the heavy lifting is a serious game design flaw.

All the ME2 NPCs have it.  It is not a matter of her hair because Samara has none and she gets an even worse mask...a red one.

Yeah they need to dump it.  Real space suit please.

Samara's is comedy gold. She and Miranda do make an effective team, though.

There are times when the combination of her outfit and camera angles made me uncomfortable. The black isn't too bad, but the default bothers me occasionally.
