In many ways she was also an inspiration for my decision to learn about voice-acting. If she does not re-voice Miranda in ME3, I shall personally riot.

And yes, I realise that a one man riot is more like a minor public disturbance, but so be it

I will back you if you go so that will be a two man riot^_^

I'm sure that if the shadow broker also had a dossier about shepard saying that he also used that dating site for sex, people would not complain about that.

I would. Shepard is supposed to be who we think s/he is. We can choose the face, the alignment, the class, the sex... but wait! He goes on dating sites when we're not looking? When the hell did I want him to do that?!

Expanding on his/her background (Earth, Spacer, Colonist) would be cool as is his/her service history. Maybe even his/her class, but the personal details should be ours to imagine.

What i tried to say was that there are some people who call miranda a ***** just because she had sex with one guy, but when shepard has sex with the consort in ME 1 or has casual sex with jack its all oke. I find it a bit discriminating towards women as if they can't have sex. And people should not complain because even if you did not have sex with the consort or jack i'm sure that shepard also have slept with a couple of women during his career with the Aliance since it is shown in every romance scene that he has experience with relationships and sex.

I actually found Miranda's profile in the SB's dossier unsurprising. Mind you, i"ve known more than my fair share of very highly strung professional women over the years.

We have Miranda, who is an outwardly selfassured professional, who is at the highest rung of Cerberus control answering directly to the Illusive Man himself. She is driven, ambitious and in charge of the entire Lazarus project, and by association almost all of the crew of the SR-2. Not just that, but during the entire previous two years, she was the head of a secret project, where every single person she saw was either a subordinate, or her subject patient.

Of course she's going to go look for sex in that period, but almost no one she knows is available. She can't date any of her subordinates, besides the inevitable issues with power involved in dating your subordinates, she doesn't strike me as the kind to screw around in the workplace.

She can't go out and hit the local clubs, she's been working on a top-secret project. They don't usually place them with easy access to downtown clubs, and it's likely that she was entirely isolated from normal social interaction.

So what's a hard-working, driven professional to do? Well, either visit a brothel (sort of like the Amsterdam or Vegas of the ME universe) which really doesn't strike me as Miranda's style, or to go out and find herself a date.

Entertainingly enough she chose an option where the genetics she hates are if not a non-issue, much less of one. Online dating is primarily a place where mental facility and wit is more important than physical appearance.

Or it's just one collosal gag towards one of the loading screensavers where it tells you that there are no good galactic dating services. :whistle:

She doesn't like the idea of screwing around the workplace yet she has no real issue against screwing Shep (not that I can blame her)!

On the contrary, she tells you multiple times that the mission is too important to let your personal feelings interfere. Besides, the two of you have a very weird relationship: she's nominally your XO, but she's also your handler/minder.

Yet why did she break down then and give in? The strength of Shephard's personality? The fact that he is larger than life? The 'modern' equivalent of someone like Alexander The Great or Genghis Khan (in terms of 'importance'?)

Honestly, I think she is in love with Shephard, but I have to wonder if she curses herself for falling into this predicament at some level.

I think she's attracted to him, though I wouldn't call it love yet. I blame her giving in on the fact that Shepard is the protagonist and she's a love interest.

I don't think that she curses herself for it otherwise Kasumi would say that she is smilling all the time because of shepard. ^_^

I have also been thinking about that, but i think that loadingscreen was more towards the player if you want romance you have to talk with your crew or somethink like that.

I meant it as in when she's actually in the process of realising her feelings, not after they had already happened.

That's just your dislike of Shepard speaking. :P

I think it's the fact that Shepard dares ask her about personal matters, overlooking her detached demeanor, as you see in the second conversation, combined with helping her in her loyalty mission. I also think respect plays a big part in why she's attracted to him - she would't be attracted to anyone she doesn't respect in the first place. That's why the relationship with Jacob failed at some point.

Yes at that point i think she did because you can see in the final conversation that she is really fighting with her emotions.

I've added it to the video section of the OP. Since the sound doesn't function on the computer I'm currently on, other comments will have to wait. I don't think I'll substitute it for the old version as the "definitive" version embedded at the top unless the whole thread asks me to - the reason is that Miranda's resignation is uncanonical for half the regulars here and the only really serious matter of contention about Miranda here, so a poster video for our thread should be neutral in this regard if not in anything else.

I never wanted to make a neutral video. I chose to use the choices I made during my playthroughs.

The resignation problem is the same than, for example, the choice to let Miri kill or not Nicket. In the old video Shepard interrupts Miranda, so you can also remove it from the OP because some people here let Miranda kill Nicket in their playthroughs.

I also added the resignation because some people asked me to do it. The majority of the fans I know always choose the resignation, and enjoy it. They also think it's not OOC.

You do what your want, it's your thread. I only post the video in the thread for those who would enjoy watching it. If you want to add the video in the OP, it's your decision.

@Yannkee

Good video.

@Everyone else

If they DARE to make Miri's infertility incurable, or not get Yvonne to voice Miri in ME3, I will raise an army of disgruntled Mirimaniacs and we will advance on Bioware's HQ with pitchforks, torches, guns and M1 Abrams tanks. Bioware, you have been warned.
