No, it isn't that offensive, though it does imply that Miranda seduces Shepard to keep him with Cerberus. That won't go down well here, I'm afraid.
(Edit: did I really write the opposite of what I wanted to....grrrr)
I am tring 2 stay open for that idea. One can imagine that Miranda started / or hoped to start, the relationship with Shepard as a way to keep him with Cerberus. But during that "mission" Miranda lost her objectivity and actually fall in love with him.
Well Ican think of a quote, similar to this from "Salt" movie.
"You were suppose to recruit him, not fall in love with him" - Ted Winter
Now imagine TIM is telling the same thing to Miranda in ME3..... That would be great!

Same here... But I have found myself liking the biotic powers and using them a lot more from other characters. I think in my next play through I am thinking Vanguard or Engineer. *shrug*
Kasumi ask Shepard how biotic is Miranda... *reference to engine scene* I have always wondered how much Miranda could stir things up a bit with sex and biotics.
Maybe she can use her biotics to be a bit more playful with MaleShep. My male shep is such a jokester... it could rub off on her.
Ideas?

No she wants to know how genetically modified is she. I don't think she was talking about her biotic abilities :innocent:.

Of course they did. There's a little fanfic scene I posted on page 117 of the second thread.Arijharn wrote...

Didn't that happen in moonraker? Regardless, I think Shephard/Miranda should have utilized those inventive uses of mass effect fields personally. My Adept and Vanguard at least did, did yours?

Yeah, I think that is a possibility. It wouldn't be the first time it has happened.
I would love to be a fly on the wall if TIM actually said that.
In my playthrough, I would like to see how Tim tries to get Miranda back after her resignation! Would he resort to blackmail? Sister etc. Or maybe Shep could blackmail Tim with that Cerberus data he has. hehe
Would Miranda or could she give it all up so easily or would Shepard give her that same role as his second. Offer her a job. He's gonna need a good team leader/tactician.

I'm sure they did.
I also like Shepard's line during the conversation with Mordin : when he says that Miranda has earned their trust, and what he and she do in their spare time is their business.

Cheesy, but ok, I'll bite.Except how would you reconcile a scene like this if the player doesn't romance Miranda? Likelihood is she'll end up a a true blue TIM lackey when that happens. I wouldn't like that at all...
Maybe something like.
"Miranda you were suppose to keep him loyal to our cause. Sleep with him if you had to but letting him destroy the collector base goes against all that we stand for and making our job a lot harder in the long run. Humanity needed that technology. I hope you know what you've done."

I just finished finished my 7th playthrough. Bummer - had to catch Jacob instead of Miranda. And I noticed how truly badass Samara looks when she casts the biotic explosion. Jack is dead - chose her for my token sacrifice. Still not a perfect playthrough, though: I forgot you need to tell TIM to shut up to avoid the dreaded "soul of my species" comment.
Why can't ME3 be out now? I want to know how the story continues....

This harkens back to an earlier argument we have about the short-sightedness of TIM ordering Miranda to seduce Shepard among other things. And the glaring evidence against this would be you never Miranda attempt to seduce Shepard at any point in time. While it'd make for a nice confrontation, I'm afraid it'll have to stay in the realm of speculation. I do agree that there may be other ways we don't know about regarding TIM attempting to safeguard his investment, but I don't think this is one of them. Guess, we'll have to wait for ME3 to find out.
Geez, the inertia in these boards is palpable. For those curious, the Dr Pepper N American promotion is back and AriesXX7 has kindly given me a code. While looking through the redeemable items, I saw a Miranda wallpaper-- the one that has her pointing a gun at the screen (I believe Jebel linked the Russian mag that featured that pic on the cover). I chose to get the recon hood instead, but am curious if anyone has that wallpaper and is willing to share.

If you select "Yes, we do" (need the base to win) Shepard says something like "...but I won't sacrifice the soul of our species in order to win." Which my Shepard would never, ever say, because taken literally, it's pseudo-metaphysical bullsh*t, and if taken metaphorically, it denies that a species changes and develops through actions of its members, and understanding new technology and being changed by it is something you can like or dislike in any individual case. but understanding it as something like a fall from grace means that you enshrine the past and doom your species to stagnation.Alessar wrote...
I've always just told him to shut up, what's this soul of my species comment?

And this is my favorite line of the conversation.
But I'm surprised Shepard says the same thing when you choose to keep the base.

Ideas?
Wasn't there speculation a while ago that the drive core might have an effect on biotic abilities and that was why Miranda chose the engine room?

All I can think of when you say this is ZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!!!! Poor biotics really, what with all the static electricity build-ups.

I just mentioned one possibility. Anyway I am sure there won't be anything like this in ME3. Because it will results more dialog scripts/ more branches in story etc.

Don't mind me. Right now, we're living on smoke and speculations essentially. And I think it's entirely possible that there will be more branches in the story and so forth. It's after all the end and Hudson said they could let all the consequences run amok.

I really doubt Miranda was a honey trap. She has to be talked into the relationship. If you don't mention a relationship, neither does she. If she were trying to seduce Shepard, shouldn't she...seduce him? It's actually pretty easy to play as MaleShep and never have her give the slightest hint she likes you. Beside, what about those of us who play FemShep?
"Sarcastic" Yes your absolutely right she really doesn't want a relationship with shepard the whole idea scare her. Thats the reason why she mentions love. And you can definatly see at the way she talks to shepard that she is not intrested at all!
Pleas who are you trying to convice. Those who love the romance or yourself.
