Miranda Lawson - our favorite woman in the galaxy (III)

But think I know why I'm so creeped out now, because some characters have such dominating personalities (think Miranda & Jack) that I simply cannot imagine that they would obediently sit in Shepard's lap or snuggle with him without saying a single thing. Not to mention both actions just feels like something either of them wouldn't exactly go for. Didn't want to post this opinion in there for fear of starting flamewars. Compared to other LIs, their silence just feel even more glaring for me. And ugh, can we say awkward postures and bad modelling?

And on the couch in Sheps room, they are talking, you just cant hear it. If you look closely their lips are moving, if slightly.

What's fun is that sometimes, when you select the couch, Miranda will float about three feet off your lap. Like I said in the other thread, it doesn't really bother me, but I'm not crazy about it either. It's just kind of a feature that's just... there.
What's a little bit creepy is that it kind of turns the Captain's Cabin into a dollhouse with your LI serving as a doll. In-universe it's not so bad since we can pretend that Shepard and his LI are just chilling out after the mission (the animations and lack of talking ruin this a bit), but from a real world perspective of us knowing it's a game/artificial universe and the player is pushing a button to make Shepard and his LI snuggle or have the LI sit in his lap, it's very creepy.

No, Miranda talks. Shepard just glares.
I can't possibly fathom what she's saying to inspire such a glare.
"Let me tell you about all the sexual positions me and Jacob have tried."

"Holovision was right. Once you go black, you really can't go back."
Aaand with that, I think I've just exiled myself from the Miranda thread forever.

Yeah but at least we're good natured Miranda fans, right? I mean look at our ability to make fun of ourselves.

Miranda does not have scale itch. Maybe jack or kelly, but definatly not miranda.

I'm tempted to post the picture with Miranda and Shepard snuggling on the bed, just to demonstrate it's not in the least "creepy", though I have to agree with the awkward posturing in the couch scene. The only thing I don't like so much in the bed scene is that the lighting makes Miranda look sickly pale.
Anyway, perhaps it's time to focus less on the mostly inconsequential things we don't like so much and more on the many things we do like...

Speaking of screenshots: in ME3 I want Miranda to be able to do in-game what she did with Enyala in the dialogue scene:

Hey i'm not mad or something i'm just wondering why some many people think she has scale itch.

Eh, don't worry about it too much. What's the point of having a Miranda thread if we can't joke about her occasionally without turning it into a flamewar?
Although I would point out that Miranda is very discriminating about the health of her partners. If she was going to have um... relations with a varren (hypothetically speaking! *shields his face from the rotten vegetables*), she'd have it checked out by a certified veterinarian first.

Not saying she is the source, probably went Kelly-?-Kasumi-Jacob-... you get the point. Miranda is a victim in this.
I know distasteful joke sorry, I have a smart ass remark quota I have to get to each month.

They don't, I thought. It's always Kelly I hear about as being the scale itch spreader. Poor girl.

No one here gets demonized for one post, so don't worry. And welcome!
I'm sorry if I overreacted, but you don't get the tone of written things, and things like that have been said with the intent to insult in the past.

Tell me what you guys/gals think of the elbow area in this gif. (I had to 'create it since it was cut off in the cutscene)

ETA: please ignore the 'highlighted' areas in her hair. (I haven't cleaned that area up yet)

Hmm. Looks OK. Maybe the forearm is a little thin near the elbow, and maybe the arm is a little long, but again, maybe not. Nothing that's significantly off in that picture.AriesXX7 wrote...

That's what I've been noticing too.
Here's the 'original' shot. (minus the background)
I'm going to tinker with it a little bit more tomorrow.

Go ahead and post. Because I've seen it once for exactly 5 seconds, and never again. I imagine it's probably a nice screenshot without the context. I know it's an optional thing, but it feels like playing those really bad romance JRPGs where you physically manipulate virtual dolls into doing R-rated things with your avatar. Not that snuggling or sitting on laps is remotely R-rated, I have no problems with those acts in fact. I admit it is nitpicking, but what else is there left unsaid after all these months?
@Silentmode:

Hehe, I'm personally fine with bad jokes as long as we're conscious of the intent to laugh at ourselves. I'm happier in a thread that does that than one that clamps down on anything that could suggest a shade of slur against Miranda. It's why I read the Liara thread but dare not post what I think would make for interesting discussion about her because people there seem to go up in arms against any statement that slights Liara. Trolling apart, that just kills all the potential differing views we can get on a character.

I really like this Miri/Shep moment.
Bioware should add more scenes like this one.
