do you think Miranda is more of stay at home with champagne and dinner or out dancing in a club, eating and drinking... both seem nice but I am thinking the dance club idea would fit more, less boring, and more action. I know she commented on one of the night clubs in the game but can't remember if she liked or disliked it. hmm...

Male shep is planning a "date night"  :D in my fic

Neither. I think Miranda's ideal date involves dinner at a nice restaurant, then catching an opera or an orchestra. Miranda doesn't strike me as a big clubber.

That reminds me.

Where's my Shepard/Miranda Kasumi loyalty mission fanfic. And the Samara loyalty mission one. Where.

I can't give a definitive answer since I always had the conversation on Minuteman station at least. But if you skip the first two Normandy conversations, the loyalty mission will still trigger. I think the loyalty missions always trigger.

That's what I wanted to know. I've abandoned my "treat Miranda like dirt" game because it's no fun. So, I'm back to my FemShep. They'll be pals eventually, but it'll be a long road. Maybe I'll even mod the game and romance her.

I'd do it for you but the game makes it impossible. <_<

Romancing her with a FemShep? I've read of people successfully playing around with the save editor to do so.

Nah I meant being mean to her. Shep is forced into nice mode with her and several other companions.

...Heck the only one you can be a semi-douche to is Thane. >_> Who really doesn't give Shep a reason to be a mega douche meanwhile the Cerberus operatives and crazy chicks get a free pass.

Edit: There is far more than one crazy female in ME2. I'll leave it to you to figure out who I'm talking about.

Ah. That's a pet peeve of mine. The game gives you reasons to despise her but doesn't let you do anything about it. Treating her like dirt basically worked out to ignoring and then killing her. No fun.

Miranda vs. Thane is a surprisingly hard romantic choice for me.

Exactly at least in DA you could tell characters you despise them and why and then ignore her (or kill them depending on character) or tell them to GTFO. You can't do that in ME.

I've never done Thane's romance. Maybe oneday when I can force myself to play a FemShep again I'll manage too.

Yeah it's no fun, my Cerberus hating Shep is reduced to being TIMs b**** for half the game before he can go "HA!" and walk away with a smirk at the very end of the game. (Thought that was one smexy smirk  ah I love custom sheps).

Treating Miranda like dirt? You people are incomprehensible. Miranda is not amused.

(Actually, I do understand the sentiment in a kind-of-theoretical way. Perhaps it's just that I don't have such a visceral dislike of Cerberus, but I don't think I could ever be mean to her. Reasonable criticism and wariness is all even my Sole Survivors would manage )

Sorry Ieldra. I did say I'd abandoned that Shepard. It isn't fun to treat her that way. Now I'm just trying to decide whether to romance her.

But I am! So very amused. XD

Besides more ways to play the game means everybody wins. B)

No fun indeed. As for romancing her with a femShep, if my information is correct you can do that, but you'll have several unvoiced conversations or conversation parts you can only read as subtitles. No idea if it's true, or how many of these there are.

Some of it is voiced, like female shepard talking to Mordin about Miranda. Most of it isn't though from my understanding.

Considering I would have preferred a silent Shepard, I don't consider that a problem. I might enjoy it more this way. Want some impressions when/if I get that far?

Of course. I'm unlikely to do that, which makes me curious.

Apparently it's more trouble than it's worth and visually unappealing. I'll just romance the drell and keep writing Miranda/Liara.

I know why, but I'm beginning to see a number of Shepard/Miranda stories where Mordin's advice about "inventive use of mass effect fields" comes as news to her. If anything, I'd think she'd be the one teaching Shepard new tricks.

Are there any lines that Miranda has that aren't part of the romance that you tend to co-opt for it anyway. This doesn't say good things about me, but I find her speech about how Shepard is the only one that matters and everyone else is expendable perversely romantic. She'll kill and die for you. I find myself thinking of her as a bit obsessive in a relationship. Not clingy or controlling, but I can see the occasional grand gesture coming out of the blue.

Hey everyone, It's been awhile. I was wondering if anyone could produce profile and portrait pictures of Miranda's bust. I'm planning on sculpting her for an art class.

Thank you.

Hi, Miranda boards. Question for you all.

When Miranda's not out with Shep on a mission, what do you think she does on the Normandy? I can't see her just...lying about, doing nothing. Do you think all she does is mission reports? What would Miranda do in her free time?

Miranda? Free time? I doubt she knows the meaning of the term. When her ship duties don't occupy her, I think she'll spend time reading scientific journals, keeping up with important news, maintaining her professional contacts, keeping up with the newest technological developments in her field(s), etc. etc.. Her ship duties would be largely administrative, but I have no idea what an XO does in detail.

I don't think we have a an artist among the regulars here any more. Will screenshots do? There is, for instance, this all-time-favorite profile shot:

If your request can be fulfilled by screenshots and you don't find them in the collections linked in the OP, I'd be willing to make some for you if you tell me what you need.

Welcome back, BTW. Your fanart is still among the best. Perhaps I should re-post it some time...

Chapter 1 of my fic is done.

Summary: A seven-year war has left strangers wearing the faces of loved ones, and souls struggling to find themselves even as they seek to reconnect with each other. But the past is a harsh mistress, especially when it is encoded into your body. Post-Reaper fic.

Degrees of Inheritance

...reading. Since I was beta-reading this story, I can already tell everyone here it's absolutely worth reading, one of the best Miranda-themed fanfics.

Just two more comments, Elyvern: there is a need of more space between the sections of this chapter. Perhaps insert one empty lines each before and after the drawn lines? And FYI, rating your story M will prevent it from appearing on any default lists, you have to specifically search for M-rated stories to find them (btw in my country, it wouldn't be rated M).

Thanks for the heartfelt support, Ieldra.
The document manager keeps timing out on me. I may have to wait abit to add the spacing. As for the M-rating, I can't downgrade it for the sake of gathering more readership, because it really falls into the M zone and will go even further in future chapters. Now that it's established, consider this my warning to every potential reader out there. In the lack of better words, I'd say this is a piece written for adults, and I refuse to shy away from anything that would be indicative of this. And I don't mean just the sex scenes either.

You mean apart from taking cold showers after spending time with Shepard? ; )

There are the mechanics of life - eating, sleeping, keeping fit etc, but as the XO, there's lots of paperwork and red tape to tie into pretty ribbons. Other than that, largely what Ieldra said. I suspect that Miranda's a bit of a workaholic, so free time is likely to be an alien concept to her.
