TIM: Miranda STOP HIM!
Miranda: Or what? You'll replace me next? Consider this my resignation.
<hangs up>
You go girl, for a second I was worried that Miranda WOULD try and stop me.

I don't typically like the "leading" NPC companions in BioWare games: Dawn Star, Silk Fox, Carth, Bastila, Aarin Gend, Aribeth, etc. They're supposed to be story important and badass, but something about them drives me bonkers. DA:O and ME1 were the first games where I didn't actively dislike one or both leading characters.
Then along comes ME2, and I get an XO who's beautiful, strong, complex, intelligent, dedicated, and knows how to handle her stuff. She's very similar to my FemShep in personality, despite my Shep's hatred for Cerberus, and easily her equal in strength and spirit. Miranda Lawson is the only leading BioWare NPC who I've ever felt deserves her spot in the limelight, and after my own FemShep, she's my favorite woman in the galaxy.

That was awesomesauce when Miranda shut him down. I just loved the derision on her face. It was brilliant, and I think my FemShep might have hugged her if they weren't about to all get blown up.

I agree completely. Miranda is the only LI character in all Bioware games who I feel can be a fitting companion for the protagonist.

I would have liked that. It would have been consequent. But of course Bioware pampers the Paragons...Giggles_Manically wrote...

Until ME3 is done we have no idea how choices will be reflected.
Who knows Renegades could be having the advantage in part 3, although I doubt it since most of those choices involve destroying or killing almost everything.
edit-You are also assuming that well ANYTHING we do in ME1 or 2 will even matter in ME3 outside of a cameo or email.

I do. I might be in for a disappointment, but one moment of disappointment is better than one year of pessimism. I will post big rants, though, should Miranda be reduced to a cameo in ME3 and decisions not matter.Giggles_Manically wrote...

As for the Renegade decisions, we'll see. There are few things I'd like to see more than a big Renegade decision turn out to be the most useful. But I doubt it.

I hear that a lot about two BioWare leading females: Miranda and Morrigan. Though for me, it was more like Morrigan grew on me against my will. The best analogy I've heard for her was likening her to a fungus. But a sort of friendly one
Miranda was different. I respected her almost immediately, and came to really like her after her loyalty mission. It was like a switch had flipped. Very weird since I was convinced I was going to hate her.
So I haven't played her romance yet; I've heard it's got different dialogue for Paragon and Renegade responses, with Renegade being more snarky and aggressive. Which tack do you guys prefer?

Exactly these lines (Mostly Paragon)
To me, it makes the romance the most meaningful, with both of them showing that they really care about each other.
I really don't like the renegade path during the romance.

Especially Enyala, I really enjoyed watching that merc fly across the room, then have Miranda finish her off.

Yes I wish she could use this power during combat.
