To don't care about a health issue (whatever the issue) when you discover it, is not something I consider "normal".

Because a woman who is infertile is broken and must take steps to change that? It is only an issue for someone who wants to give birth.

Yeah....this is EXACTLY what I expected to read from you eventually. Insult women who don't care about their fertility as not normal. I'm sorry to say so, but that's a truly despicable mindset. What will you recommend for them? Psychological counselling, so that they'll learn the true and proper emotions they should feel about their discovery?

Whether Miranda wants children or not, we know she's been told she cannot have them naturally. How you think she takes this news is up to you.

Considering Miranda's personality, I can't see Miranda accepting her fate. Even she doesn't want a child, I think she would have preferred to choose herself.

I agree with this. She would have preferred to make her own decision. That does not mean she couldn't have reacted with equanimity to the discovery, though.

And your more global statement is still not acceptable..

I think she would choose before having surgery to reverse her infertility. And if she chose to not have kids, she would continue to be infertile and embrace it.

Well you don't have to accept it, but there's no need to make it such a big issue.

Anyway, I think she hasn't thought about it that much for while, maybe hooking with Shepard changed it, but I guess we'll just have to wait and see. ^_^

Despicable mindset ? I see still can't accept other opinions, without being arrogant and insulting.

If you consider "normal" the behavior of someone who respond "I don't care" to his/her doctor who have just announced an health issue, that's your opinion not mine.
And I'm speaking of all health issue, not women infertility only.

If you have something to say further about the issue of women and infertility in a real world sense, I suggest taking it to PM. Calling someone's opinion as part of a "despicable mindset" or firing back that the person is being "arrogant and insulting" have crossed the line into an uncivil realm that I will not allow. You can disagree with someone's opinions, but you have to be respectful while on the forums.

I have no idea, if she'll be in ME3. I have my fingers crossed, but I fear the worst. It's been said that all LIs would be making an appearance, but that sounds bit bad. I wouldn't Miri in ME3 in same spot like Liara was in ME2.

But, if she comes along I think she'll still be the XO, depending a little what happened between Shepard and Miri in your playthrough.

If she's not a squadmate in ME3 I will be disappointed.
I think it's the only way they can really develop her character and the romance. Cameos would be terrible, I don't want to meet her during my game and just have a 2 minutes conversation with her.

I also would like to keep her as my XO.

Nice picture, PinkFlamingo. Where is it from?

As for Miranda in ME3, what I hope for is in the OP, what I fear is not more than one insignificant cameo. What we'll get? No idea. Possible roles: Shepard's XO, Cerberus reformer, Illusive Woman, head of the indoctrination research project, squad leader of a Reaper penetration commando unit, information logistics coordinator....or outlaw on the run. As long as she's significant and we get enough interaction with her, any of those are acceptable.

Remember that it's possible Kaiden is remembered by a crater on Virmire.

If Miranda gets shunted to 'background character' the game would be missing a sentinal NPC; arguably that isn't too much of a point, as there wasn't a clearly defined 'soldier' class (I believe it's stated at one point Jacob is a vanguard) however the are clearly characters (Zaeed, Grunt and even Legion if you know what you're doing) that can fill the role.

So meandering back to the point I made in the first place; unless you saved Alenko you wouldn't have a sentinal npc, something that could potentially be very damaging to squad dynamics.

Sure, it's possible that they could lob in a brand new sentinal NPC, however if Miranda survived... why? We have Miranda.

Edit: the picture's a screencap of Blur's trailer.

Yvonne Strahovski looks very beautiful, and Miranda doesn't do her look justice, imo Miranda looks like a bulldog in the face, but has a very hot loyalty suite and cool biotic powers which is primarily why I always choose her.

For some odd reason any game from BG II and onwards all characters looks fugly like hell, but NPCs looks good.

Yes, Miranda's face has issues - but look at the screenshots on the previous page. In some of them she looks really beautiful. Also have you seen the Miranda-ized picture of Yvonne Strahovski? It is in the OP. That's how she should've looked in the game. Bioware's artists and animators fubared it. I blame the person who adapted Yvonne's face scan data to her in-game model. And the xbox's graphics limitations which necessitated using textures only in many places where there should've been 3D models.

Yeah yeah yeah us consolers ruin everything I know :P

I seriously wish I could play on the PC though, if it was PC exlcusive I'm sure the game would be of better quality, Miranda's appearence included.

Oh god, what did I do to start this war?

Anyways, I agree. Miranda's face ingame does NOT do Yvonne justice. AT ALL. I guess that it's because of the facial scanning tech BW used, which probably isn't very advanced.

Do you guys think Miranda fits The Spock trope? I think she does for the majority of the game. I like that ruthlessness without callousness that she has. She's the one who tells you to sacrifice your crew for the sake of the mission, but she's equally willing to sacrifice herself.

To me she's the prettiest character of Mass Effect and I don't see any other female video games character as beautiful as Miranda (personal taste of course).

3D modeler could have done better job but I think she's enough beautiful and attractive as she is.

It's not anything you started, it's just a common complaint of PC gamers. And a fairly accurate one at that.

Anyways back to Miranda:

I thought she was quite ugly the first time I saw her in-game face but have since warmed up to her. She's one of my favortie characters/LIs.
