IccaRa, I'm so sorry, but that screenshot just reminds me of "E.T.". :P

Heh, that's a great facial expression on Miranda there. BW did a really good job with the expressions.

I think this is most likely just a screencap of Miranda blinking, but it does look like she;s sleeping. I think this was during the hovercar ride to rescue her sister in her loyalty mission.

And a question: would the average Alliance civilian who does the equivalent of reading the paper every day be aware of Cerberus' existence? A couple of Cerberus Network articles mention them, so I'm inclined to believe most people know there's a pro-human quasi-terrorist organization by that name, but little else.

If Toombs survives ME1, there's a news items about him and his accusations against "a shadowy group named Cerberus". So the name and that it's pro-human and ruthless is probably known by many. There may be some who put the whole thing off as a conspiracy theory.

Yeah i feel we may be given an absolute, side with one or the other, the one you don't side with walks away forever, dies or something equally as bad as that.

I wouldn't mind having to decide between one and the other, though I'd regret the loss of a lot of potential (non-violent) character interaction.

This is during her loyalty mission, around when your getting in the elevator I believe.
Posted ImageYes, some might say I have played it too many times.

Hmm...I should've known, I've played this scene about 7 times, not counting the number of repeats for screenshots. Maybe it's because I don't find the expression natural - the game has its problem with smiles. This is one of the better ones, but still not quite natural.

The worst one I've seen is the one after you kiss Miranda, and she says "stop smiling damn it". That was a creepy Shepard smile.

I wounld'nt mind either but i think it will just be a shame that someone would have to die in order for the game to carry on. I don't hate jack, i think shes great but i will always take Miri's side over hers any day of the week.

It could be "leave the squad", not necessarily "die" for the one on the opposite side. Just a way to keep the squad open for another new - or old - character. The problem is, it's easy to make a convincing situation where Jack leaves, for Miranda not so much. She's tied herself to Shepard more or less irrevocably if she resigns, regardless of a  romance.

This is a stretch, but maybe Miranda would leave to protect Oriana? Yeah, I got nothing.

If I didn't have to worry about fairness or catering to people who got most of their team killed, I'd cameo everybody but Miranda, Jacob, Garrus, and Tali, bring back Liara and Ash/Kaidan, and fill the rest of the team with new characters.

I think that those 4, Miranda, Jacob, Garrus and Tali are the only ones that really need to come back in ME3 as squadmates, and the love interest from ME1. Unless you cheated on them or something like that, then they might not want to join your squad again, I guess it would depend on how you handled the situation. But the rest of the squad could be all new characters, or their could be more options when recruiting people. They could make it so there are more characters than you are allowed to recruit, so you have to decide between people.

Samara wouldn't join back because her oath is complete right after ME2 ends. Zaeed's contract is fulfilled. Grunt might return to Tuchanka to do Krogan stuff. What Jack is doing might vary depending on how you palyed ME2. Thane is gonna die from that disease thing. Kasumi is hard to say, she might have just been staying for that one mission. Legion is hard to say.

I doubt the Drell Assassinn dude (just woke up, so I can't think right now) is most likely NOT goining to be in ME3.
Tali and Garrus need to be and I thik that Miri should. Jacob as well. And maybe bring some people back from the first one join Sheperd.

In terms of my actual character preferences, my "pick four" is Miranda, Thane, Mordin, and Samara. The last three are trivially easy to write out. I have a hard time coming up with a reason for Garrus to leave, even though I can only stand him occasionally.

So did you use Garrus through the whole game in the first one?

I did the first time I went through Garrus and... I can't remember.

Then it was Liara and Wrex.

But I'm going through the whole ME2 with Garrus and Miri (except on other people's loyalty missions, of course.)

My team in ME2 was always Garrus and either Wrex and Ash, i liked to alternate between them sometimes. In ME2 Miri and Garrus are in my squad in the entire game untill i get Legion, then i replace Garrus with Legion.
