You sure it wasn't just another Aussie, if your unfamilar with the acent they can all sound the same even though they are as varied as any other acent in the world.

Possibly. She reminds me of Natilie Portman a little (voice-wise) especially in V for Vendetta.

In Chuck she speaks in an American accent.

First time through, her accent actually distracted me until I got used to it since Revelation talks about how most people who live and work offworld have lost their accent. Her Australian accent would stick out. Then again, blue eyes are supposed to be so rare as to be nonexistent, so that should stick out as well.

Really? I guess blue eyes are a sign of exceptional individuals since Miri Shepard has some beautiful blues too.

That's just another example of the silly time contraction in ME. Yes, blue eyes are supposed to become rarer as humans interbreed more between different regions and races, becoming more as one in appearance. But it would take quite a bit longer than 180 years for blue eyes to be "almost non-existent".
As for Miranda's accent, I almost don't notice it, being German. I find the way Aethyta speak much more noticeable. Don't know why, though.

I like her accent. Didn't say it was a bad distraction.

Really should get back to my game. Sooner I slog through ME, the sooner I can see Miranda. Am I still welcome here if my opinion of the romance doesn't improve and I go back to playing FemShep?

Femsheps are the ones that get the shaft on LI....:P

Tali, Miri and Jack are all awesome LI the only "good" LI femshep gets is Garrus!

I think Kaidan and Thane are great romances for a straight F!Shepard.

I love Kaidan and Thane to bits. Liara's romance is also fantastic. Miranda's the only ME2 option for men I feel comfortable romancing.

I found Liara's romance to be way too fast and centric to the conversations with her, IMO. I personally think that they should have had the romance start on the third conversation, because as it is - for me personally - the romance - or what comes before it - is a too upfront and hasty. Not enough build up and connection. Other people will have other opinions, of course.

I can think of one, that guy right above Jack's cellar right cross from Tali with the Scottish accent.I felt it was kind of standing out,not annoying but noticeable.

I heard multiple instances of Donnelly's voice actor. He was one of the pilots on the Normandy and probably that guy in Kasumi's loyalty mission (the crime boss). A lot of Steven Blum too in this game (and other games), although it's not really an accent persay.

Your opinion of Miranda will probably not change, so that's OK.;) But I hope it does improve.

Coming off a long game session myself - my only single maleShep has made it to Miranda's loyalty mission. It's extremely hard to play a perfect game, at some point you always mis-click and say something you'd rather not said, and only because the dialogue wheel doesn't tell you the mood you're going to get. Grr.

I know, it's annoying.

That's why in this playthrough I have saved before every conversation and tested out the options in order to find out the choices that would best fit my Shepard - and I wrote them down. It's especially useful if you want to avoid certain romances. I somehow got into Jack's romance after literally saying no, before.

Going to use that guide when I revisit that Shepard for another playthrough before ME3 is released.

Would it have killed them to put in a preview function? Grr.

The romance thing is really bizarre. The characters whose romances I loved are not the characters I want to discuss or write about. And vice versa. Although if anything comes of the Miranda.Kaidan idea I have in my head, blame Ieldra. He started it.

For me and for some characters, I like the character themselves but not their romances.

I am thisclose to abandoning my current playthrough and just using my Liara romaancing Shep to romance Miranda. I'm finishing up some Citadel sidequests and the boredom is killing me.

Well, don´t do boring sidequests. It´s just a game and if you can choose to avoid the boring parts, do it.
