Thanks for the feedback. IMO, there's not much of a story if things are all sunshine and puppies at the start.

The reason wihich led me to do more Mass Effect work was simple - I wanted to make one of the best fan art (which would also work as promo or poster art) to be had. Inspiration came from an outstanding Sunshine OST created by John Murphy, and Underworld, which I recommend listening to in order to feel the right vibe/atmoshphere.

No photo tracing, overpainting or 3d models were used here. However, I used some references (that also includes ME2 screenshots), and textures. I don't even know the exact earth hours spend on this piece, but I can assure it was alot - I really wanted to do the justice to the character. The original size is A4 with 300dpi. This is the fan and"skills-showing" portfolio art, so no copyright infringement was intended.

What is the name of your story?

It currently it has no set name. I've been going with a working title, Escape from Omega 4 but that just a reference I used when I started writing it up. It's been about two months so far.  I haven't published any of it yet.  Still working out a few plot details, action scenes and another story to interwine with the male shep/miranda romance, so it's not just about them. Ship banter with the crew(which I miss)  It has 10 named Chapters thus far and each named chapter has a theme through out dealing with one or many members of the team.  I'm mostly writing for the fun of it.

Elyvern, I like your fanfiction, but I think there's an actual reason why it has to be Cerberus who studies the Collector Base. Namely; it's in the middle of the Terminus Systems, there can be no 'official' interaction with it being where it is in case they would flair up 'disruptive elements' within those systems.



Also, there'd be a lot of petty politiking amongst those participating for increased privileges etc .

I believe you're wrong. The station is in Galactic Core and only way there seems to be via Omega 4 Relay, you need reaper IFF to get through. The reason why Alliance and others rather stay out is to avoid war, if they can slip through people through the relay, nobody could really bother them. There's only small chance of an actual attack happening. 

Just my thoughts.

Except, the Council would have a higher chance of being sussed out due to the fact that it's a political system rather than an actual covert agency. Not to say that they can't perform stealth, but if they are ever discovered they would suffer pretty extreme consequences, far greater than anything that would happen against Cerberus.



If the Council was discovered, it could mean war, which would be something Shephard for sure would be keen on preventing prior to Reaper arrival at all costs. If Cerberus was discovered, then it wouldn't be nearly as catastrophic. And that's at the worst side, at best, the Terminus Systems would withdraw further from the Council, which would be probably something just as bad in terms of potential co-operation against the Reapers. True, that might not be likely, but there's no point potentially burning bridges.



In this case, it's actually an advantage to utilize Cerberus' 'avowed enemy' status, because it becomes a useful cushion if the cat gets let out of the bag.

While your point has to be taken into consideration, I don't think it breaks Elyvern's scenario. Shepard's had dealings with Aria before, who practically rules the system, and we are talking about nothing but people using the O4 relay to fly somewhere else. No permanent presence is to be established by the Alliance, the Council or whoever will get the Reaper IFF. I can see Shepard make a deal for right-of-passage with Aria.



As for the politicking, that will surely happen. I'm sure Elyvern will at least allude to that in future chapters, given that how it and how the Alliance treats Shepard like **** influences Shepard's character development in her story.
