Miranda is my first choice when going on any mssion (mostly because I like her on screen more often then not), she strikes the perfect balance between in attacking armour, biotics and shields.

Agreed.  Though combat utility and character development/romance are separate processes, the fact that she was the first squadmate I chose for almost every mission fit with her tough, independent character and made her more attractive.  The fact that this manifested itself as intelligence and self-control instead of a hurricane of rage (Jack) was even better: I liked this feeling that Shepard could rely on her to run operations effectively when necessary, even if that goes against the COMMANDER SHEPARD cult of personality (only person in the universe who can get anything done, etc).

I smell another one who would subscribe to item #1 on our wishlist for ME3 (see OP): Keep her independence, competence and self-control, keep her on par with Shepard as much as his status as the protagonist allows.

You know, I could get used to the outpouring of love for Miranda. And the armor looks both professional and sexy. I'm in love with the eyepiece for some reason.

I'm just happy it doesnt cover her eyes (like Jacks visor).  The color also matches her armor nicely.

The difference is Yvonne somehow makes it look crazy attractive, while Miranda looks just a little bit "derp."

Interesting start, drwells. Looks promising. Only the out-of-sequence is *way* too excessive, even for someone not usually as controlled as Miranda.

As by jtav's request, I'll link this in the OP. jtav, there are a few of yours I haven't linked yet as well. Can you give me the links of everything you wrote after "Persistence"?

Thank you for the feedback Ieldra2. That scene reflects my guess that she (1) is simply not used to making mistakes and thus coping with them, and (2) is under unbelievable stress, which she's been bottling up. I can definitely see how people would differ on her response though. Thank you again, and my thanks to everyone who wrote a review as well!

It sucks when certain people, deemed to be on a higher plain of existence (by corporate entities), just for being born in the northern-west hemisphere get to see season 4 or 5 of Chuck, while us Africans (formerly European, like back 1600AD) are forced to wait forever and are stuck with season three!

I'm telling you it's geographical facism!

Rant over. :)

Anyway, starting playing Awakening last night, so cool! That's keeping me busy till the new appearance pack comes out, then I will continue my Adept Insanity run with a new look Miri!

I personally blame pirating for this segregation of media! Also I guess they see if it succeeds in the US and only then do they ship oversees to us "3rd world nations".

Games on the other hand are thankfully much better! We usually get the better games only a couple of days later then the US. But we don't always get most of the titles.

If it makes you feel any better, Japan does the same thing to us

We even have an internal pecking order, wherein TV shows air earlier on the East Coast and then people spam Internet forums with spoilers just to ruin it for the West Coasters.

My dad is a  Dr. in Canada and so he gets some US channels like ABC and so on. When I was over there one summer and was checking the channels, I was so confused. I watched like the same episode of 70's show like four times I thought it was really wierd till I figured it out. I felt kind of stupid after that.Posted Image

Man I wish could get Conan overhere, love that show! Posted Image

The internet will eventually be the great equalizer, with content being available all over world at the same time!!! Posted Image

Anyway, getting back on track.

What kind of sport do you think Miranda would be interested in, play and watch?

I'm thinking she would be into playing golf and maybe watch rugby or Aussie rules football, or maybe cricket, seeing as those are the popular sports in OZ.

Play: Track and field, martial arts, archery, and fencing. Maybe shooting too.

Watching: No idea. Didn't really peg her as someone that like watching things as opposed to doing them.

Good thinking, didn't think about those options.

Thanks for getting back to your fic again. Everytime I get an email on my phone I hope it's a new chapter, keep it going.Posted Image

I'm guessing her father would have made her take ballet or gymnastic lessons, or lessons in "refined" sports like tennis, golf, or polo, and as a result she loathes all of the above.

I can definitely see her knowing six or seven martial arts. Possibly even kickboxing? Something competitive and aggressive.

No doubt a Grandmaster chess player. And she'd probably think poker was silly, but win everyone else's money anyway by calculating all the odds in her head and having a stone poker face.

This sounds very plausible. She'd only take up disciplines that could double as training for her job. I don't think she watches sports for entertainment.

I also agree with you, drwells, about her attitude to those "refined" sports, though I think she loves dancing. She'd be a good chess player if she cared to be but I think she considers it to be too rulebound. I can see her playing competitive tactical and strategic simulations instead.

I just got to look at the high-res preview image of Miranda's new armor for the first time. Does anyone else think her new armor is really hot? For some reason, it adds to her attractiveness instead of detracting from it as you might think. She looks...well...sleek and powerful. I can't wait to see her moving in it....

As long as BW keeps Miri's competence and her continuing emotional growth, I'm happy. If either one is missing, I WILL kill puppies.
