Nice. You recolored those, yes? What exactly did you do?

I added grain, a lot of blurring and adjusted the color vibrance in Photoshop. It's actaully an elaborate process but fast thanks to 'actions'.

I like Miranda with her new armour, makes her stand out amongst the rest of the crew as being the only one other then Shepard with an outfit best worn in combat and an outfit best worn on the Normandy. Plus her armour matching Zaeeds is cool, they make a cute couple.

The only problem is that you can't always change her outfit before you get forced into a cut scene.

Nice screenshots. She looks good even in that damned face mask, LOL. (We still need full helmets in ME3, looking good without them notwithstanding)

And now......I'm tired. I'll nap.......destroy the universe later.:lol:

Here is a somewhat off-topic question but I wanted to see what you all thought:

In my original run through ME:1, I couldn't stand Liara and so, I thought Ashley was a reasonable option as I liked the more aggressive attitude.  However, her comments on Horizon really didn't settle well with me and so I went back, created a new Shep who didn't really have any interaction with her.

Though Miranda has some serious attitude issues at first, she tends to act much more mature and professional than Ashley.  I was wondering though, what do you all think of a comparison between the two characters?

heh. i would never ret-con my playthroughs, ashley was always the best of a bad bunch in me1, horizon just confirmed and provided a clean break.

Those are some great shots and a really smart idea to do with her new DLC.  Sad that I never thought of it....

This. If my shep had known how much better in general Miranda was, he wouldn't have bothered. With ashley, it was really a stress release/coping mechanism for the prospect of the risk of dying at any point. She was there, he was there, they were under extreme duress. Sure there was some base attraction, but my shep didn't think it was as serious as Ashley seems to have thought. He's just glad that its done and over with, and looks forward to seeing what the future will bring with Miranda standing beside him.

Provided they survive the whole reaper thing.

If you RP your Shepard to the extent that he holds true to the military command structure, he would also have issues with the fact that Ashley was a NCO and as such, their relationship would breach the whole officer/NCO policy.

my shepard doesn't exactly stick to the regs. besides, he could've just denied it if things blew up. And whats more, he was a spectre at that point, so those regs didnt really apply anyway.

I like that last one the most out of all the ones I have seen of her in the white suit. That one wouldnt even have been that bad, but they had to go and put the hex pattern on it. Idk why but that just rubs me the wrong way(the pattern, i mean).

except that shep was well outside conventional command structure by then: SPECTRE. :whistle:

Just recruited Grunt again. It still bothers the hell out of me that all Miranda says about him is that he could be a liablilty. I mean, Grunt is basically the krogan version of her. what do you guys think Miranda would have to say about the similarities of their.... births? creations?

The main similary is that both have a genome as close their creators' image of perfection as it was possible to make. Miranda would be interested to explore the similarities that may result in their outlooks because of that, but Grunt isn't one to dwell overmuch on such issues. If at all.
The main difference is that Miranda was actually born and had a childhood, with no memory imprints but a more or less natural growth, even though she might have been born of an incubator instead of a woman, depending on the level of biotech available when her father made her. In this case, Grunt does comment on how some imprints shaped him and some others did not, giving him some independence from Okeer's vision. Miranda might be interested to see that Grunt did manage to overcome a part of his conditioning, something she might want to do for herself. Within ME2's storyline, she hasn't shown any interest in exploring that possibility, but if we see her again, it might be part of her character development.

These obvious similarities are one reason I don't like to leave Grunt to die in the SM, even though he's not exactly my favorite as a person,

Does anyone else ever get a birth mother/child given up for adoption vibe from Miranda and Oriana? I've caught myself thinking of Miranda as Oriana's mother and had to forcibly remind myself of their true relationship. Just me? I suspect it's because Miranda is old enough to be Miranda's mother and the end scene of the LM is something you normally see in fiction dealing with parents who are estranged from their children.

^ Not once, not even close and now that you mention it, no, not at all. For some reason, the idea disturbs me. Posted Image

@Revan061:

I think what she meant by liability is his krogan temperment made worse by old mad scientist Okeer. Other than that, I did see the similarities between being 'created' as the perfect pinnicle of their respective species. Beyond that, they really have nothing in common.

Er, no and honestly jtav, there's not even any subtextual hint that's the case, either. Besides as some are keen to point out: infertile.

I didn't say she was her mother. I said the dynamoc reminded me more stromgly of parent/child than siblings.

@jtav:
I know it has occurred to some, though not me, in a very different context. That the dynamic might mirror such an image could be worth exploring, though I'd be very careful. That can go off into squick country far too easily, even if you only use it as a metaphor.

@Jebel Krong:
It was implied she was not always infertile

@Rusty Pabst:
I wish you'd doctor some of my screenshots to give them a better coloring. Yours looks impressive!

@vpalma:
Miranda wouldn't like the symbolism of changing her surname for a relationship.
