That is both fascinating and disturbing.
Personally, I'd support such a twist for the sake of drama and to add quite a dark new layer to the character but honestly I don't think Bioware would have the guts to take her character in that direction.
Then again, Jack is a victim of abduction, torture and gang-rape so hey, who knows.

Also probably not enough room in the game to deal with it adequately (as opposed to using it for cheap shock value) unless they made it her main storyline and dropped Oriana, and there are already four other parent-child confrontations. Freud would have given his right arm for a trip on the Normandy.

Ah. Makes sense, thanks!
I especially like her expression in the second panel :)

I very much doubt they'd go there, except by very light, plausibly deniable implication. I don't think it's canon, just that canon could be interpreted that way, if desired. I wouldn't want to write such a story because it would be a delicate balancing act beyond my competence. I do want a chance to put a bullet in Lawson's skull.

What do you think her ME3 plot will be? My chief worry is that it will be romance-heavy. I do my best to pretend the romance doesn't exist.

I can't see Miranda's ME 3 plot being romance centric - it doesn't seem feasible, partly due to resource considerations.

Saw it. Not a surprise. She's the conventionally attractive marketing focus voiced by Yvonne Strahovski. Miranda is to romance as soldier is to class. It doesn't take away from the awesomeness of the character, but you can't discount the T&A appeal or her default status.

 Credit to that valentine's day poll for picking a solid image of her at least...  Nothing wrong with a catwalk pose  :wub:

I want to randomly throw this out there too: I've played a few days now with the new armor set on her and I got tired of it more quickly than I thought I would, went back to the high res black.  It was a nice change of pace, but I think the visor became too annoying in cutscenes; I don't like anything obscuring my view of her.  ^_^

^^ I won't get tired of the armor, no. But I'm eagerly awaiting JeanLuc's high-res version. As for the visor, mostly I like it but...

We need headgear switchable between "always shown", "never shown" and "shown only in combat areas" in ME3.

@jtav, Prudii:
I agree that her ME3 plotline shouldn't be romance-centric. I'd go farther and say it should tie into the main plot somehow. ME3 has no place for big personal side missions like ME2's loyalty missions in the face of the Reaper invasion. I'd like that mission to have the additional benefit of Miranda making peace with her origins and exorcising her father's ghost from her mind, so to speak, but it should be an accidental benefit, not the goal of the mission. I can see something involving Cerberus as a starting point.

This looks as if Miranda doesn't wear her visor. How did you achieve that effect?

It's there. Just not as visible from that angle and with the lighting.

(Hah. My eyesight isn't completely deteriorating with age.)

That's hilarious that her visor has the Cerberus logo in her peripheral vision. Never noticed that before. I wonder if TIM has it programmed to run little subliminal messages over there - WORK, LOYALTY, OBEY, etc.

My beta still has it. I'm typing 41 now though and there's a few elements in 40 that I'm kinda unsatisfied in. Should be soon.

I can practically envision a picture of TIM hanging everywhere in every Cerberus facility like Mao's portraits.
Chairman Illusive: Our Great, Esteemed Leader.

And slogans like:
Joy through labor! Labor to protect and enhance humanity!

Then, one day, TIM comes into work and there's a little problem. However, he's easily able to identify the culprit thanks to the hidden tracking program in her shiny new visor.

For some reason, I always liked that pic of Miranda. I don't know why considering how OOC it is

@drwells123

That poster is a problem? Hmm... Anyways, TIM with a clown hat and roses in his rifle would be more appropriate.

@LuxDragon

That's because that pic is so damn hilarious that nobody gives a damn if it's ooc. Heck, not many care about ooc these days anyways. And I saw chapter 40 is in beta...that's why I never beta honey. Too damn long. My fics are all 100% Katherine Jameson proofread, 0% beta contamination. :D
