Damn it, can someone help me find my jaw? I lost it when I looked at the pictures.

Er....that nurse picture reminds me too much of Cerberus interrogation techniques.

With the usual Cerberus failure since it makes a significant percentage of interrogation subjects unable to speak?

I agree with you in that, Jebel Krong. We may be starved for Miranda pics, but the execution of those pics is somewhat lacking. Just look at her face. I think it's more the scene concepts that get people squeeing.I would like a *good* picture of Miranda in such a dress, but don't care for that nurse.

So, chances are that Miranda inflitrated Cerberus and so won't be available for most if not all of the game (it makes sense, especially if Cerberus is out for Shep's blood but I still don't like it) and they also gave Ashley Miranda's hairstyle.
This does not bode well.

Has someone said that? All I got from that article is that Garrus, Liara and Ashley/Kaidan are confirmed as team members. Miranda's absence does indeed not bode well, but it is not confirmed - or is it?

@JK:
Hilarious: these ladies look as if they'd have as much fun among themselves as with Shepard.

It is not confirmed. The article said that Shepard's squad included Garrus, Liara (who would be much more useful on that ship of hers, mind you), Kaidan/Ashley and Sanders, not that it was limited to these four.
I am simply speculating that, if Cerberus is intent on killing Shepard (I have no idea how giving them the Base affects this), then it's much more logical and useful for Miranda to have infiltrated Cerberus instead of being on Earth, holding Shepard's hand while he is on trial. The Loyalist, spreading the truth about Cerberus among the Cells, would be a powerful deterrent indeed. TIM migth suddenfy find himself having some difficulties giving orders without being questioned.

@ Ieldra: actually i thought the speech options were the best bit (*renegade*).

after all the GI info blowout today i'm very disappointed @ no Miranda mention at all especially as ashley could be dead (and she got a makeover) and Liara may well be a squaddie (so the SB thing lasted ages then...).

I'm with MisterJB. Apparently Cerberus is trying to kill us, either out of revenge or because TIM has been indoctrinated. It makes much more dramatic sense for Miranda to be trying to take down infiltrate Cerberus for our benefit. I am very much okay with this. She's more useful there.

The petty reason that I don't think she'll return full-time is that Ashley's redesign now has some similarities to her.

how would she 'infiltrate' cerberus?! i mean, out of any organisation that one knows her best...

Poor choice of words on my part. I mean that she'll be doing everything she can to sabotage it and cause dissent. If I had to guess, I'd say that Ieldra will get his Illusive Woman scenario by the end.

You know what? Since I was so spectacularly wrong about the possibility of anyone returning, I'm just going to sit over here and be optimistic about the possibility of Kaidan and Miranda or Liara and Miranda being my permanent squad.

i'm positive legion will be in some capacity, and the news on mordin is very welcome. i just hope that they don't ignore me2 squaddies in favour of returning me1 people - committing resources for possibly dead people all round is a bit weird, to say the least.

She quit her job at the end of the game, didn't she? I'd say TIM considers her persona non grata right now.

It could go either way at this point. So I'm going to be optimistic without putting all my emotional egss in one basket. *pictures Kaidan and Miranda bickering all through the game*

it's early days yet - hell garrus, ashley et al could be dead in a lot of people's playthroughs, yet they're 'in' according to GI, so nothing's ruled out.

I'm worried sick that BOTH Miri and Thane didn't even get a bloody mention, and they're my BELOVED squaddies. For the love of god, give us something already. :===((

Some similarities? I would say she looks more like Oriana than Oriana herself, Had Ashley been on the squad in ME2, I would dare say Miranda gave her some beauty tips.

Relax, most of the suadmates that were not mentioned have actually good reasons to not appear on the Prologue:
Miranda: Cerberus or Oriana's protection.
Tali & Legion: Extablish both peace and an alliance between Quarian and Geth
Thane: Convince the Hanar and Drell government of the reaper threat.
Grunt: Help Wrex unify the Krogan clans.
Samara: Alert the Justicar Order.
Mordin: STG or working on a possible Genophage Cure to use as a banner for the Krogans to rally under.

Truth be told, I think I actually prefer a re-encounter with Miranda, anyway.

Relax Katie - it's marketing designed to whip up a froth. Can you imagine the Tali fan reaction? She's not mentioned either, and nor is Thane.

Anyway, the game isn't due for what, another 6 months at least? It's the start of the prerelease build up. No point in getting in a lather over it just because they didn't mention your favourite characters.

You know, I've read plenty of fanfics that say she resigned from Cerberus, but I can't for the life of me remember her ever saying anything to that effect in-game...

TIM: I gave you an order, Miranda!
Miranda: I heard. Consider this my resignation.

Anybody interested in something from the revised Persistence?
