That goes without saying in this thread.

It's funny how people are feeling guilty or start defending themselves when romancing Miranda. It's Bioware, not you, who picked Miranda to be the fan-service object of ME2 with the camera angles etc. :P

Hola my friend, you don't know me, if you think I said it on the defensive. I have no problem saying that I love women, or they are hot or whatever Posted Image. I never blamed anything on Bioware for this. I love Miranda's clothes, without the armor. I have never been disturbed. So do not worry about that. XD

If I say that's because it's the truth. I have not really been interested in Miranda in the beginning, it was after her mission of loyalty, I start to get interested in it.

Then in my second part, that's when I realized she was a really great character ;p

From what I've seen so far is that BW is making a very real attempt at being able to allow for the ability to swap out past squadmates with new squadmates should a past squadmate die. I mean that's the only way they really can make it work without pissing off the ENTIRE community. Tali may be the biggest character on the popularity scale but she isn't bigger in popularity than the rest of the character's combined. Add to that the fact that the need to have her in ME3 despite the good chance she may have died in many ME2 playthroughs and the system to "hot swap" past characters with new ones becomes enormous. In fact the more I look at it and the take in the consideration of BW's statements in regards to the role of ME2 squadmates in ME3 the more convinced I become.

Which is good news!

Once they have a system like that in place its easy to not only implement it for Tali but for all potential returning squadmates. I think I'm going to spend the rest of my day really quarterbacking different ideas on how BW could implement such a system and how it would work for the benefit of each ME2 squadmate's benefit.

You know that I suggested this as a solution to the returning team members question many months ago? To replace dead ones by replacement characters, which they could either fully flesh out if they thought that was warranted or leave a bit one-dimensional to cut costs and to reward players who made the old ones survive?
The only problem with that is resources spent on character writing, because they'd need to create a lot of content a particular group of players may not see.

It seems they've bitten the bullet and are now attempting the "fully fleshed replacements" version. I'm very curious about the result. It could increase ME3's replay value dramatically, and my several ME2 games with several different character death configurations could actually come to mean something.

I think I do remember you mentioning that while I kept harping on about choosing which squadmates to return or something. Anyway cheers to you.

Secondly I spent the past three hours wasting my time on one of the factors that would determine a returning squadmate's value/chances of returning in ME3 - they likelihood that they survived your typical ME2 playthrough, it even has a CHART! Still it's a far cry from perfect or even polished but I think its reasonable at least. Anyway here's the link.

The point is, if bioware is gonna give Miranda the most effective and protective plot-EOD suit in ME history, she'll definitely come back as a full time squaddie. Otherwise BW just wasted their time equipping Miranda with that huge plot-EOD suit.

She had the plot armor because she gives direction on the SM. What that means for ME3 is debatable.

LOL. Quite the piece of work. Note the difference between Mordin (5) and Miranda (.5).... Unfortunately, it's likely we won't know how Miranda will re-appear in ME3 until the game is out. Because unless BIoware spoils us, any information that shows Miranda will just tell us she has "a presence". Since I take it as a given she's at least a temporary team member, that's not much.

That collegehumor video with Yvvie reminds me of Natalie Portman's rap with the Lonely Island.

I saw the link for this this morning from Yvonne's twitter feed...I literally did a John Mcenroe, without even pressing play i.e. "No, Yvonne you can't be serious...what is this!?!"

Just watched some of it right now, her acting/dancing on screen is pretty funny its just the voiceover that puts me off, her versions of Kesha and Lady Gaga trump her Katy Perry by far. It's not something I'd watch again, kudos to her (Yvonne) for trying this type of satire vid but thankfully this won't have much of an impact on my opinions of Miri, Sarah or Yvonne herself which is good

Best I can describe it is as odd... The acting & dancing are fine. Not quite sure whether it's her singing or not though.

oh man, i've been watching college humor for YEARS now. pretty much when their website first launched and i am in shock. i know yvonne has a fun streak but i never figured she'd let it all loose and go for something like this.

i mean forget notches in a book this girl just jumped from my "book" to a bible in terms of fan adoration. but yea, college humor and YS two of my most favorite things in this world. couldnt be happier - well maybe if she got a spot on Jake and Amir but that'd be a bit too wishful i think.

edit: not really anything to do with this thread or mass effect but another FUNNY college humor music video/parody is right here. a favorite of all time

so im thinking shepard is in some firefight, cleans house, and is about to move on when some cerberus commando sneaks up behind him and is about to shoot when suddenly said commando's head explodes and he falls down dead.

shepard whips around, gun in hand, and out of the shadows slowly steps a very familiar brunette

miranda: "Shepard, I swear saving your life is becoming a full time job. Aren't you getting tired of being my damsel in distress?"

I like that. I would like to see something to that effect in ME3.

Edit:
deleted image. It did look like MIranda, though.

aeetos's post reminded me that I would prefer not having to save Oriana again in ME3. Anyone agrees?

I don't think Bioware will repeat that plot.

Any other speculations about Miranda's story arc in ME3? I posted my version, but that was sort of obvious, at least to me.

Personally I believe that Miranda will have a fairly large role in ME3 (at least I hope so). How she will fit in? I have no idea, though I wouldnt be surprised if bioware put her back with Cerberus in some way as a spy for Shep perhaps? Everything is still speculation at this point, either way I doubt saving the collector base or detroying it will have much impact and will be explained away in a few lines of dialogue.
