A little more detail jtav (mind you my Shepard is a trans-humanist no joke I designed his personalty before ME2 came out)it depends on how she becomes a parent, does she adopt, bio engineer, clone? Some set details would help.jtav wrote...
What do you guys think Miranda would be like as a parent?

She has high standards for everyone, herself included. So I think she might be a little on the strict and demanding side but not to the extent her father took it. Just like have straight A's, be athletic, work hard, and don’t be lazy but at the same time spoil them a bit and let them have fun. lol probably the perfect “soccer mom” --depends on what her job is though

Honestly, I don't know.
But, I hope for her she won't have a turbulent child like Jack.

Yeah, I can't quite imagine her as a doting mother, but I think she'd always be mindful of the way she was raised and not let herself become detached from having a loving relationship with any children of hers. She'd expect discipline and a hard work ethic, but I think she'd generally be more supportive than demanding. Departing slightly from predictions and going into wishes territory, I bet she'd also develop something of a "coolest mom ever" reputation through occasional spontaneous acts of unquestioned parental coolness, of the what parents do for their kids variety, mind you.

Why dows it matter? As long as the child was planned, (and the child would be planned), I can't see it making a difference in her parenting style. I think she'd be a bit like Rael'Zorah as a parent: demanding and often absent due to work. She also has a tendency to verbally bully people that she'd have to watch. I think she'd try very hard not to turn into her father, though. When she is around, she'd spoil the kid and be very physically affectionate. Amd God help you if you hurt the child.

Physically affectionate? Can't see too much of that. She'll certainly see to it there is no emotional deprivation, but she's still herself, and I think her becoming openly affectionate would still be somewhat rare. Otherwise, yes, I can see a bit of Rael'Zorah in her.jtav wrote...

(Hard to think in this heat if you're tired. I'll probably not be much good for the rest of the day. Wish I could fast-forward three months into autumn.)

Finished reading Redemption, btw. Miranda is OK, as is the story in general, but Liara is about the most unlikely character of the old team to do what she does there. Also, Redemption reinforced my opinion that Miranda's father is *not* the Shadow Broker.
Good night.

It really depends, what if she had a genetically engineered clone(sense she is a clone higher chance of mutation, so kind of unlikely)? Can someone say just like dear old dad. Or, what of she had a kid with a hunchback, would her upbringing kick in, or will she move past it.

I'd hope she could find the strength to raise a disabled kid, but I suspect she'd abort a genuinely non-viable fetus (one that wouldn't live long after birth). I don't like to envision a Miranda who would terminate a pregnancy where the child would live, but with a disorder or disability. Hits way too close to home,

Yeah, I think it does the same thing with what It's face picture, regardless of which new romance. Personally, I prefer saying the relationship is over by throwing the picture out the airlock.MatsudaTohu wrote...
Have any of you noticed that after you "romance" Miranda, the picture of Ashley on Shepard's desk gets turned over?
One thing to note, did anyone notice the second picture frame beside the bed?

Indeed. At least her father wasn't as egomaniacal as to include his own flaws into her genome. And he made a daughter, not a son, against cultural trends I'm sure still exist in the late 22nd century - I wonder what that says about his way of thinking. I think we can't fault him for the the way he made Miranda, only for the way she was brought up. And even in that he did certain things right.jtav wrote...
Miranda isn't a clone. Dad did take genetic material from other sources.

I don't like having to say that, but I don't think she'd hesitate long before doing exactly that. On the other side, she'd do everything for not running the risk in the first place. Between her own genome, probably purged of any risk factors by her father, and the available gene therapy the possibility probably doesn't deserve serious consideration.

Why that? That shows a kind of resentment I don't think the old LI deserves. Well, maybe your Shepard thinks she does, but mine certainly doesn't. It was good as long as it lasted, only....well....Miranda came along.Sixth Goul wrote...

There is one, really? Must check in on that....eh...two days until I get to play. If the curiosity doesn't kill me first, that is.
