An encouraging thought: Miranda is one of the few characters who gets a true character arc. And while her plot armor hardly guarantees her return to a major role, I think the knowledge that she's probably the least-killed squaddie will influence the amount of content.

That's because while there are positive news about Miranda - she will be in ME3, she will have a role that can be spoiled - the news about certain other team members are so much more so. Granted, we have much less to fear than Jacob's or Thane's fans, but that's small consolation in the light of the blatant favoritism with Garrus and Tali.
And you know, I could live with Miranda's non-permanent team member status, if I didn't think that would reduce the amount of interaction to a pittance in comparison. If there is to be more squad banter, for instance, the permanent team members will by necessity have about 500% more. In the end it's all about story connection and the amount of possible interaction with her. In both, I find the idea that Miranda is a lesser presence not acceptable.
And I'm not truly negative. The problem is the information is so vague that I get pulled here and there by the slightest bit. That state of mind is very uncomfortable.
500%? Where are you getting this from?
I don't think you are negative I like the suggestions you and jtav put out (you two seem joined at the hip
Then again I reread the Xbox world article and overeacted to a snip about ME2 squadmates...I still have faith though (anything not quoted is speculation) and will wait till E3 to see what happens...

I sense a little teasing in the last part.
Miranda's tough and capable. She better be ok!
wishful thinking? maybe.

Rule of thumb. Think of the amount of banter permanent team members will get getting. If we're talking of DA levels, and temp team members would get *nearly* the same amount as the permanent ones, they'd be bantering constantly in the time they're present on the team. There has to be significantly less, depending on the time the temps are on the team compared to the time a typical permanent one is on the team.Vertigo_1 wrote...

Well, I don't know what's written yet for ME3. Perhaps some writer will be able and willing to take some inspiration of it. As for jtav, you'd be surprised at the level of disagreement we have about certain things, but we appear to appreciate mostly the same traits in Miranda.I don't think you are negative I like the suggestions you and jtav put out (you two seem joined at the hip
) it's just that when it comes to these types of things IMO people overreact.
I don't have much faith that the things I care for will be covered in a positive way, since I'm usually in a minority. For instance, apart from making her incompetent, weak or sentimental, the worst thing they could do in my eyes is to turn Miranda's personal story arc into a cautionary tale about genetic engineering. She's got all the good stuff, damn it. There are a few unpleasant things Miranda's father did, but that he gave her that level of genetic upgrades is not one of them. I'd rather have her make her peace with it. It is after all what she does with her gifts that makes her who she is, not where they came from and neither the purpose her father intended for them. And one way or the other, I want to be able to imagine a future where she passes her gifts on.Then again I reread the Xbox world article and overeacted to a snip about ME2 squadmates...I still have faith though (anything not quoted is speculation) and will wait till E3 to see what happens...

Pictures of Miranda re always appreciated. Thanks for de-lurking with them. We used to get little fan art here, but things appear to have improved quite a bit in recent months.

From what I've seen following various people on Twitter E3 2011 will be a great time for everyone, not just us ME fans but for gamers in general but I just hope that EA do whatever demos/trailers that BW show justice...giving content to your publisher to show at the major gaming convention may/may not be a wise move. Time will tell...

i thik that would be a sensible way to account for having a reasonably-sized squad but in practise it's the same workload for BW to account for all the variables anyway, so i don't know. i think until we know more - hopefully at E3, it is rash to jump to conclusions - especially regarding Casey's teasing twitter post - i'll be surprised if they do another rescue situation - they did that with her LM/sister already.

Maybe they go with the assumption that Shepard in charge = must be older than Miranda?
Perhaps it isn't common knowledge?
Hell I didn't know her age...

I don't see Miranda as someone who would need Tech Armor...I see her more as an assassin/leader type person instead of a frontline individual (that Tech Armor implies)

Regarding her part in The Killer Elite, it's apparently just a small part (she supposedly has all of 10 minutes of screentime).GuitarShredUK wrote...

Yes. She plays Seth Rogen's ex, whom he once proposed to. Don't know the size of her role though. I'd guess since they're already filming, it's not likely to be big. I'd expect Yvonne to start taking bigger roles after the fifth and final season of Chuck.MASSEFFECTfanforlife101 wrote...
