I'm pausing my current playthrough as at the moment my mood is so black that Tali would be heading for certain death. Still hoping bioware will pull a rabbit out of the hat at E3 and i can return to a mood of excitement.

They can only do that by showing Miranda and ME 2 fans respect at E3. As well annoucning Miranda as a squad mate for ME 3

who here has canon playthroughs where a FEW squad memebers die during the SM? Do NOT include MIRI!

I have (* = personal canon, but I'll import all of them).

Andrash Shepard, Renegon Sentinel: Garrus, Zaeed and Grunt are dead
Amir Shepard, Paragade Infiltrator: Jack dead

I will import My Shepards once Tali and Garrus suffer for Bioware's lack of respect for us Miranda and ME 2 fans

Knock it off ExtrmeOne. I'm only killing them to get it out of my system, and if Miranda is confirmed before I finish, everyone will probably live.

m/m and f/f have just been confirmed. Forget "retconning." I wish Miranda was an option. It could even be done without contradicting anything. I once exhausted her dialogue as a MaleShep without her ever coming on to me. The whole thing is player-initiated.

Ok lets stop talking about death. Especially about Miri, MY LI who is precious to me.

One wouild think you're in love with a video game character....

Admittedly that's not so far from the truth for me. One would think someone like her would long have appeared in SF literature, but that's not so. Not that I know all SF literature, not nearly, but even so the absence is noticeable. Apparently the particular combination of traits would make it more likely that such a woman appears as a villain, and regarding her genetic engineering, apparently the days where SF showed us the chances of technology instead of just the risks are long gone.

Miranda embodies science and reason and a full emotional spectrum without going off into sentimentality. Add the genetic engineering, and she may even be unique, while characters like Tali are a dime a dozen. That's why it would be particularly annoying to me if she didn't get a significant screen presence in ME3. If I want someone like Tali, there's any number of books, TV shows and movies. For Miranda, there is only Mass Effect.

@jtav:
I'm quite glad that Miranda isn't an f/f option. As it is, at least my femSheps romance someone else than Miranda.

To be honest, I'm at a loss to explain my fascination with Miranda. "I hate all that you stand for" would probably be a fair description of my attitude toward her. In real life, transhumanism and consequentialism are anathema to me. I am a Romantic, not a Rationalist. Her cold competence compels me, but there are other competent female characters. You'd him think I would want some kind of  "redemption" for her, but the idea horrifies me. And I didn't even know who Strahovski was, so that has nothing to do with it.

I don't get why CH would confirm Garrus/Tali and not Miranda. Unless she's a cameo or a temp, why not just confirm it already and get it over with?

PR
You can't reveal everyone (or in this case X squadmate because you like them) all at once...you need to put out info at a steady pace in order to build hype and keep people excited for ME3

Theres still the rest of the year left + whatever is leftover for the new year

I hope that Miri is NOT a cameo or temp!!!! It would be heartbreaking and unfair because she is an LI and is VERY IMPORTANT, to me.Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image

How much do you think Miranda resembles her father physically? I'm about to introduce him.

A lot. Both of her chromosones were based off of him. Her (XX) female chromosone is a modfied verion of her father's with "an amalgam of desired traits from other sources".

I'd say he resembles her quite a bit. I've always thought he wanted to give her as much of his appearance as he could without marring her perfection.

There's the opposite possibility, that he wanted to create his perfect daughter as a contrast to his own ugly appearance, but that would be too stereotypical.

I'd say he resembles her a lot. He would be more than a little vain, too, and keep himself in shape physically. Quite a striking man actually. The ugliness is all inside.

Hope not. It would be like trying to fill too many cups of water with only one pitcher. It could be detrimental to her character development.

I really wouldn't mind it at all. Assuming you can start a new romance with her in the first place, it doesn't contradict any dialogue. The flirting dialogue simply doesn't exist for FemShep, and Miranda never brings it up on her own.

Ieldra, what I'm having trouble with is why Matt wouldn't recognize her as Eldfell's daughter once he'd seen both of them. Though I suppose she could try to pass it off as a more distant relationship.

She looks good in the CG trailer, in-game she looks like Michael Jackson.

They do something about her facial model and I'll consider her.

His newest trilogy is incomprehensible to me. But his earlier works - yeah, you have a point. He definitely doesn't paint a simplistic picture.
