Think she looks very much like Yvonne already. If they can tweak her a tiny bit so she looks more so great. Don't want anything major done as i want the character i adored from ME2 back.

I don't think they should tweak her either. Just think that's what they should do if they feel they MUST tweak her. I'd prefer they didn't though.

My hope is that they don't tweak her at all. I want the Miranda of ME2 back, not someone else.
For her appearance : I would like something similar to what she wears in ME2 (the loyal version) minus the Cerberus logo of course.

A case of if it ain't broke don't fix it? lol

I'm pretty sure Miranda (and Yvonne for that matter) are far from needing any sort of change :D

I'd like her to be back in armor that looks like it could actually take a few shots. Civilian outfits should be flattering but not scream "I'm Ms. Fanservice" from 50 miles away. I'd also like a subtle redesign of her face so that it's no longer perfectly symmetrical and the skin looks more realistic.

I don't know what you're seeing in her face that makes it look eerie. I can't see that. Her face looks beautiful, they only need to adjust her jawline and have more natural shadows in ME3. Agreed about the outfits though.

Since I'm the thread pessimist, I want to change gears and talk about what I do want to see for a minute. I'd like her to be leading some sort of insurgency against Cerberus. She is instrumental in helping you take down Cerberus and is a temporary squad member for that mission. She picks up the remnants of the organization and vows to help you against the Reapers, though she doesn't come back with you to the Normandy. She is, however, available as a squad made for the last mission/battle (along with everyone else who has ever been on your squad).

One of the "standard" scenarios that pop up often. I think there's a chance we'll get that. Though I'd prefer to have her in my team for more than one mission and the final battle. I'd make a sequence of missions for taking down Cerberus. If it's two missions or three, then players could insert other missions between them and so make her part of the team for even longer.
Actually, here's a thought: if new players get a shot at the old LIs, they must be present for long enough that a romance can develop in a way that doesn't appear ridiculous. This makes me somewhat optimistic.

Alternatively, she's decided that the best way of ensuring Oriana's safety is to eliminate her father (who was safely off world during the Reaper invasion). We finally get to put a bullet in Mr. Lawson's skull. Miranda finds herself heir to a vast fortune and the resources of a very large conglomerate. Again, she vows to put that to use fighting the Reapers. We also see the technology used to create her. The last shot is Miranda staring at it thoughtfully and a little sadly. "Maybe someday... but I have to concentrate on other things right now." End mission.

Interesting - and I like the open end - but I'd be surprised if we get that. Her father is too far away from the main plot. I wouldn't complain if it went that way, though.

The reason I like the scenario with her father is that it deals with her overarching issue about who and what she is. In real life, I'd suggest staying far away from him but this is a third person shooter. And the poetic justice of the "reject" taking up the legacy she was always meant to have and using it for good. It depends on how connected she is to the main plot. More is better, but I want her to have power in her own right.

I doubt she -- or even Garrus and Tali -- will be full LIs. VS, Vega, and maybe Liara will be available to new players. You will of course get extra dialogue if you did romance her.

One thing I'm stumped about is romance content. I have no idea what they'll do there, though I have my own ideas about Matt and Miranda's future. It would probably make Ieldra ill. I can do sickly sweet.

I think Miranda's father will be important. They were very vague about him in such a way that makes me think he's important later. And I think he's Eldfell.

Miranda takes over her father's company (Eldfell-Ashland). She also oversees off-the-record research Matt resigns his commission practically the second the Reapers are defeated. He always wanted to be an artist, and he's done enough for the galaxy. Eventually she asks him to marry her because people keep calling her Ms. Eldfell instead of Lawson. They adopt a couple of kids and live happily ever after.

I doubt you'll learn anything till E3. Pre-shows are more for the press to get a better look at something without dealing with huge crowds, so they can throw the E3 preview up fast and more detailed at the day of the show.

I'd like Miranda to just throw everything about her father away, and start a fresh life that has nothing to do with her previous life. Instead of trying to be more, I'd like her to try to be less. A normal life.

I think there needs to be some resolution. She's "The Prodigal" and the prodigal daughter should return. Good drama. She becomes what dad wanted because she freely chooses it and to genuinely help humanity.

I just wouldn't want her to go back to being the Prodigy. That's just giving in, but doing a good job about it. I'd rather she make her own life, which she already tried to do by running away.

ME3 will have a comic that spans the first 2 games. It's possible that you could choose your LI that way unfortunately. In the comic on the PS2 version, we were prompted to choose between Ash (or Kaidan), Liara or no ME1 romance.

This part made me go  That seems like (IMO) a flimsy reason to marry someone...
Also the last part about adopting and living happily ever after feels like it was added to perhaps not make Ieldra so mad at you
I'd like to know more about Eldfell-Ashland business though...

Also looks like the previews done today won't be out till sometime near E3

Yes she does. If you compare her face, looking sideways, to Yvonne Strahovski you'll see that just about everything is off.

Bioware has said everyone is getting a remodel anyway, so as long as they bring her closer to her VA then I'd be a happy man.

That's speculation. It isn't mentioned or hinted at anywhere, and it's definitely not canon. There's an argument for it but I don't recall what it is.

You don't know me at all, Vertigo.
I hate this kind of traditional happy end. And I hate the idea that Miranda will have no biological offspring. Had I been any consideration in the design of that ending, she'd have added that bit to ****** me off.

Prob been discussed before too lazy to dig through the 560-ish pages.

Do you let Miranda shoot Niket, or do you stop her?

I've gone both ways with Niket, but I think for my Shepard, given the mindset she's in by the time she's doing Miranda's LM, she'd allow Miranda to shoot him.

I like it for mostly the same reasons,  but it's exactly because of its loose connection with the main plot why I think we won't see it. It would also be a mission we only get if Miranda survives, and while I would like that, too, I don't think there will be many - if any - missions of that kind for any character.

More is better, but I want her to have power in her own right.

This bears repeating. Let's hope for the best.

Consult page 547 and the following for answers.

I've done this in different ways, but I usually let her kill him because:
(1) I hate the arm-grab. It has too much of the Standard Female Grab Area trope and it interferes with Miranda's decision in a way I find objectionable.
(2) Having killed Niket will scar her, but it's perfectly in character for her. Much more so than trusting him not to try anything again after just having betrayed her.
(3) The suggested alternative is ridiculous. Just....let him go? Without any reassurance he won't do anything again. Paragon naiveté at its best.
(4) They're in a confrontation likely to involve gunshots. Enyala has an actual gun pointed at them. Grabbing Miranda is an invitation to use that small tactical advantage and start shooting

It's strange, because I like that kind of endpoint as well.... it would be a huge challenge for Miranda to put aside her feelings about her father and her genes and just be like someone else, but I find that it would be the right one because the way she views her own accomplishments and her own thoughts on how others view her, must be really 'unfulfilling' (I don't know if it's the right word, so I hope what I'm thinking comes across there). Irrespective of escaping her father's direct influence, he still holds far too much sway over her in the way she lives her life.

But for me, and as an LI (if you've chosen her as your LI of course), then I think she would settle for a normal life with an extraordinary hero in Shepard beside her, because, after all, once you've said the entire Galaxy there isn't much higher to go is there.

As a less 'quaint' scenario, I can see Miranda walking into whatever shell that's left of Cerberus HQ at the end saying 'What a waste! Looks like Cerberus will have to start all over again, Shepard..... but this time, I'm doing it my way', as Anderson and a number of Alliance heads come in and say 'You sure you can make this Cerberus pact work for the Alliance?', 'If there's one thing I know about (looks at Shepard) it's Special Ops... after all, how hard can it be?'
