I think its the price to pay to really show that shes an equal, able to handle missions on her own.

She doesn't have to prove anything. She was the leader of the Lazarus project, probably one of the most expensive scientific & military project of their time.

A rescue mission to save Miri somehow? Or a mission where Miri saves you?

I'd love a mission where she shows up to save me! That would be fantastic!

It would create a nice symmetry too. Demonstrate through the narrative structure that Miranda and Shepard need one another.

If Miranda went recue her sister, I hope we will be able to join her, or to recruit her after the job done. I don't want to have to save her.

I do think that is likely the 1st thing she would do to get her sister away from cerberus eyes considering they monitor her because of acknowledging that it is the best way to maintain miranda's loyalty and would likely use that to get her back into cerberus.

After that I think she will ask for the alliance to protect her sister in return of all her information and assistance on the fight against cerberus.

i think its probable that she will be working for the alliance whether undercover or for real.

I do like the idea of for once shepherd not saving everyone but instead being saved by someone else (I liked that in ME2 where miranda etc saved shepherd and brought him/her back from the dead)

But it would have to be an unusual situation to get captured, so I think the most probable is having to save miranda and her sister from her father or cerberus or even both.

That's why I think the Alliance won't be able to promote/choose people for the new Normandy. The sudden reapers attack will certainly make everyone panic, and the only thing that will matter is your escape.
I think the VS and Vega will be our first squadmates, because they will be there at the trial and will help you to escape.

I think Joker, like almost all the crew members of the SR2 (if survived) will already be on board.

After that, the Alliance won't be able to supervise us, so I guess we'll be able to pick everyone we want.
Miranda first, for me.

MIRI FIRST FOR ME TOO!Image IPB

First for me as well. Need my XO/LI on board ASAP.

Why do I get the feeling VS is going to be your handler in ME3?

I think Shepard will need assistance during the game. On one of the GameInformer page, there is a picture of a Cerberus assassin (maybe Kai Leng) going through the upper windows of the captain cabin. I would love to see Miranda saving us just after that.

I agree. They're there to make sure you don't go completely off the rails. They assume Miranda's role the same way Miranda assumed theirs (as main human).

It would be nice to, for once, see Shepard be rendered completely incapable of fending for herself. Having Miranda barge in at the moment of dire need would definitely lend the relationship more depth, as opposed to the wishy-washy "Shepard r graet" scenarios we've dealt with so far.

Best buddy/LI breaking you out of custody in ME3 plox.

She does not have to prove herself as an individual character. Im talking about a narrative mecanism the game can use to showcase her qualities. I think its a stronger way to show her independance and leadership qualities by actually having them enacted then just knowing them through her backstory (showing is better then saying).

Take her away from Shepard just to show us that she's capable is not a good justification for me. And I continue to believe that she can be far more useful at Shepard's side during the event of ME3. Especially if she resigned from Cerberus.

Agreed. Have her either bring down her father or be heavily involved in ending Cerberus once and for all.

Exactly.  Her father is a mystery to us right now (we haven't seen him etc).  Cerberus is also a threat to Shepard so that is something I expect her to be a part of, meaning she helps us take them down

I think it is most likely that Cerberus will be the connecting point. Her father is a complete unknown, and unless he's somehow connected to the main plot, I doubt he'll play a role. But if so, I'd find it more interesting to deal with him in a manner that doesn't involve killing for a change. Besides, how Miranda will deal with his presence in her mind is far more important than the actual man.

BTW, what's this sudden flood of posts? There I am sitting in front of my computer almost all day and nothing happens, then I'm away for two hours and coming back I see this ;)

Something we already knew.
But the main focus was Kinect, and I admit it was impressing. But it won't change the fact that I'm gonna play it on PC.

It was never confirmed anywhere just speculated in the previews.

A military trial isnt quite like a movie trial... They dont let ppl in or have the press record the thing when they ask you 'so what are the big defense secret you uncovered?'. That makes me think even the permanent squadmates wont be with you at that point. Seeing how Garrus and Tali are alien, they might even be locked up somewhere. Miri is a practical girl so i dont see her standing by the door waiting for you to be done yelling at the alliance brass. Hopefully shes somewhere starting to make things happen.

This isn't a military tribunal, but a politically motivated trial. It will be as public as possible with big media coverage.

I like the idea of not having her with Shep the whole time. I think its the price to pay to really show that shes an equal, able to handle missions on her own. Id even see her tell Shep 'I know youd like me by your side but right now theres work to do' over the holophone. Being able to stay in contact and discuss mission parameters would be nice (no stupid letter like the VS did... this is the future, give me an holo). Instead of not being there and then joining for the rest of the game, id see her joining for a mission then planning things ahead with Shep and splitting to go do something else while hes on an other mission. Of course shed be back for the last part of the game.

I think many here agree that temporary absence for a plot-critical role would be acceptable, but one mission and the endgame, they'd have to give Miranda something really impressive to make up for that. I'd like to have her for several missions and the endgame, adding up to a significant part of the game.
