I don't think Miranda will be permanent, though you may laugh at me for the reason. Ashley looks really similar to Miranda. Catsuit, heels, even a similar hairstyle. I don't think they would have two characters with such similar looks on the same squad.
Ashley is dead in my story. So this problem shouldn't happen.

The part I don't believe will happen is her being on Earth and being there to greet you on the Normandy as it picks you up.

Here's a thought: Miranda is an ally if you destroy the base, and an indoctrinated boss if you kept it. Oh dear Lord, I can see Ieldra's aneurysm now.
So keeping the base and having her as LI (or otherwise) is bad?

I was planning on saving Ash, but if the only way to keep Miri on the squad is to kill her on Virmire, I'll do it. Unfortunately, both Miri & Kaidan are Sentinels, so that wouldn't make much sense either. I hope they didn't re-design Ash to salvage Miranda's fan base, as that won't be good enough for me.

I'll be all alone. I'll be stuck with my me1 squad, Garrus and Kaidan possibly.
Miri will not be there.

C'mon, Bioware doesn't think that lowly of us. They wouldn't think that the only thing we like about Miranda is how she looks...would they?

Doesn't mean later on when you meet you can't choose to have her on as perma squadmate:
VS: "Shepard you can't let her be on our team shes Cerberus"
Shepard: "This is my damn ship and if I want her on our team shes going ot be on our team!"

I'm not sure what it's being shown on, but NOT on Spike. It appears their TV coverage of E3 is over. May be on GT or IGN.naledgeborn wrote...

I think that anything can happen. I've been surprised with games before with things I never thought would happen. So who knows.

Let's be honest here: the draw of Miranda for their target market was probably always "virtual sex with Yvonne Strahovski" just like Liara's appeal was "sexy alien space babe."

I don't know tbh. Depends on whose call it is. I hope not, but they definitely gave Ash the Miranda treatment. I've always been prone to expect the worst.MisterJB wrote...

uh how many people know that shes modelled after Yvonne anyway?
I think its more of their way to get folks to "cheat" on Ashley

I don't believe it too, especially after what we saw during the demo. Personally I think she went for her sister, and we will be able to recruit her later.
And Ashley will never replace Miranda in my game, she's dead :

Maybe. But that's only the first impression you may or may not have of her, because - as everybody in this thread would probably agree - her character is actually very well developed. Doesn't hurt though that her body is very well developed, too.

Please be wrong. Pretty please.
It feels like BioWare already punched me in the stomach with the base choice -- now doing that would just be pouring gas on me and liting a match.

Yes yes yes!
This is what I mean she has to tie up loose ends (whatever those may be).

Ashley new looks means nothing. And won't influence Miranda's role in ME3.
